We loved our stay at the Houstonian. The location was so peaceful and secure. Everything was perfect, from the food, facilities and amazing staff how were so accommodating. The room was spotless with everything you need and expect. The club and spa area could not provide anything else, it felt like a peaceful sanctuary. We will definitely be returning.

The Houstonian is a first class hotel/spa option in the middle of the urban hub of Houston. The hotel has a remote/private feel that is unique in a dense area of Houston. Accomodations are exquisite and the service was top notch.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Houstonian for a mini staycation. The grounds are gorgeous, the staff was amazing from the spa to the pool, to the bar and restaurant, and front desk. The food was amazing, the rooms were clean and comfortable and even with our adjoining door in our room we were not disturbed by our neighbors.

The amenities in the room could be better. Water should be free in the room for the rate. And toiletries should be nicer as well in room for the rate. The should also be a coffee bar in lobby or on the floor, there are only 3 floors. The comfort was amazing, lobby beautifully decorated and staff extremely accommodating.

The grounds snd the hotel itself were beautiful. Our room was lovely with a secluded woodsy view. The bed was comfortable, but the air conditioning did not work properly and we could not get the temp below 78 for sleeping. I did not sleep well because it was too warm. The staff was friendly. Some of the food at the restaurant was good but the menu was limited and quite pricy. This was a special trip for us-

Very convenient to stay on the premises and enjoy the Tribute wine room, a picnic under the lighted oak, and the club amenities. Meals were delicious. Edward serving us in the wine room was fantastic! So knowledgeable and personable! Kudos to Chris and Mark at the front desk too.

Even though I had a map of the property, it was very confusing to find the pool and other amenities. We parked in self parking and walked around for 20 minutes before we found someone to show us where the elevator eas to get to our room. We ended up on a walking path and was on the outside of the property both times. Also, we got there on a Sunday at 6 and there are no vending machines on property, so the only drinks we could find were at the health club that is on the other side of the pools, which was way across the property from where our room was. Over all, it’s a nice hotel, but confusing layout for first time guests.

As a repeat customer of the Houstonian, it’s nice to see the renovations taking place to a classic property. The Trellis spa never disappoints!!!! Of the three pools, the “adult” pool was hardly peace and quiet with child swimming lessons taking place. Not a very well thought out plan of the Houstonian.

The self parking wasn’t free. I didn’t know until they gave me a dashboard pass that had an $18 fee on it. I’ve stayed here many times. It’s an older hotel. The a/c wouldn’t allow you to set less than 65. I sleep colder. It made loud noises when it started up and shut down. I was awake off and on all night. The facility is amazing otherwise. I left there exhausted.
