I’ll list off some good qualities first. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Whenever we had an issue, they accommodated and we really appreciated that. We got the king suite with jacuzzi tub for the weekend. For the price, the (2nd) room we got was perfect! Clean, dry, slight odor, but nothing to really complain about. Totally great. Now for the bad. The first room we got (124) was horrible. You walk in and notice the dampness in the air. Like stinky, mildewy air. We, my husband and I, wondered if it may have flooded at some point? Either a former guest, or during the heavy rain. Either way, it STANK. Some of our towels were damp as if they didn’t get time to dry fully in the dryer (OR the room was just that moist??). We couldn’t walk around on the floors with bare feet.. The floor was sticky and also somewhat wet. We’d walk around with socks on and the bottoms of our socks would be slightly damp after a minute or two. We were so grossed out, we bought some Lysol and fabreeze just to tolerate it for the first night and would sprint to the bathroom/bed/couches to try not to funk up our socks. Totally unacceptable room. Idk if that’s all the bottom levels, but 124 was DEFINITELY one of the worst hotel rooms I’ve booked. It totally sucks, but if we hadn’t had room 124 to start, we would have loved the stay and planned to come back. The 2nd room was great. Lovely staff.

While the rooms appear nice and clean, there was a very strong musty odor in the room. I don’t know if it’s a mold problem or just a moisture problem, but it was very strong. There was no guide for the TV, and the remote didn’t work. There were no washcloths in the bathroom, and if there had been more than one person in this room, one set of towels was not enough. The shower curtain rod appeared to be coming off the wall, and it was a curved rod that was drooping and not upright, making it impossible to keep the shower curtain closed. The beds were average comfort, but I’m not sure the sheets were clean. The check-in staff was very nice. I expected better for the price we paid for the rooms.

A good option for the area

Walked into room and found a dehumidifier in the middle of the room.

The property was clean and tidy, however, it is starting to show its age in some areas. The pool was comfortably warm, but is showing rust.

It had a musty, smoky smell. Staff was very friendly.

I felt for the cost it wasn't as high of quality I would have hoped for. Staff were very pleasant and nice and the breakfast was good. The bathroom/shower could use some updating. Drain wasn't working in the shower. I was in 4 inches of water at the end of my shower. Mattresses/pillows also not at the level I would expect for paying $328 for two nights.

This was a convenient location to stay the night for our trip to valleyfair. The breakfast was pretty good. For those curious as I was, they offer waffles (strawberry or original), precooked bacon, sausage links, biscuits and gravy, potatoes and scrambled eggs. They also have easy options like toast, bagels, oatmeal packets, cereal, yogurt and a couple other small things. Juice (mango, orange, apple and I forget the last option). Our family went to take a swim and unfortunately there was a family in there who were pretty obnoxious. Kids jumping, diving and splashing even though diving was against rules. They clearly saw how annoyed I was at one of their kids splashing my 5 year old after he asked them not to multiple times. They got me as well and I wasn’t too fond of it. The adults just chatting it up without a care of what was going on. One of the dads throwing his young daughter in the pool. Wish there was a member of staff there to watch how their pools are being used or at least a camera so staff can monitor it. There was a bit of hair in the bathroom when we checked in but no big deal. The hallways had this unpleasant scent but I guess you get used to it. Same as the hotel room. But slightly different smell. Hallways smelled like cigarettes and body odor. Unsure how to describe the rooms but it wasn’t as bad. The beds and pillows were comfy. Parking was easy to get into. Staff was friendly. Oh and water pressure in shower not great.

Quiet and comfortable.

Had a nice stay, good customer service. We wanted a hotel close to the casino, which it was, so that was nice. The room was comfortable. Breakfast was the highlight - great selection. The only downside was the hot tub being out of order, the pool looked decent though.

Not only is this hotel very clean, but it smells good as well. Everything looked and felt sturdy and well cared for and much more upscale than expected. A beautiful, comfortable place to spend some time. The staff I chatted with were very helpful and friendly. I felt safe and was able to relax for a good night of sleep. No breakfast options for dietary restrictions which we expected so no big deal but it would be a plus in the future.

Parking lot was dark and the breakfast wasn’t the best otherwise, the staff and room was fine.

Strange area

We were sad to see the hot tub was out of order. We didnt know until I asked the fromt desk where the pool/hot tub was. We could hear the people snoring next door and there was a lot of door slamming and people Talking in hallway loudly up until midnight.

This is a nice, affordable place to stay. The breakfast has the basics that you need.

Was a nice quiet room

The staff were great. Very nice. The place seemed clean. Check in and out was easy and quick. I was not notified the hot tub was not working when checking in though which ruined my stay. I was really looking forward to the hot tub. Checked in, got my swim suit on walked to the hot tub to then find out it was not working

Ournon-smoking room smelt like old smoke. The room was dark and dirty feeling.

Chose to stay here for a family weekend to visit family in the Shakopee area. Staff were so so friendly and went out of their way to check in on our experience at breakfasts. You can tell there's a lot of care put into the inside of the building. Rooms were comfortable for our family of 4 and pool was perfect temp for our kiddos :) We will be back

Continental breakfast needs more variety of choices, fruit, yogurt, etc. Don’t understand why biscuits & gravy is served-not a recognized favorite by majority. Bathroom floor needs updating.

Carpet looked old and dirty in common areas. Bathroom tub was gross and unclean...water in tub came out brown before clearing up! Questionable in regards to feeling safe there.

dont stay here if u have A T T for phone service because it doesnt work in the buildng for text , calls etc etc front desk says they dont know why if your on business absolutely not the hotel for u .. terrible experience

Staff were nice and helpful but the hottub didn't work correctly and the room i was shown i was getting was not the room i got but over all pretty good place

I recently had an unsatisfactory experience here. The customer service was poor, with staff displaying a lack of attentiveness and courtesy. Several amenities were broken or malfunctioning, contributing to a disappointing stay. The staff’s demeanor was consistently rude, adding to the overall negative impression. Furthermore, the hotel proved to be noisy and felt unsafe, impacting the overall quality of my visit. I hope these issues can be addressed to enhance the experience for future guests.
