Great friendly service and a nice location. We had a great time under the sun. This is a sister property of four or five resorts, getting the water taxi to explore other all inclusive sister resorts ia amazing. The water toys are also very nice.

Enjoyed the wide varieties. Staff was excellent. The 2 Christopher's at the bar were great. Kernoll the waitress was always friendly n made us feel so comfortable as well of the rest of the staff. Been in barbados 6 times, first time here n it was a pleasant surprise.

Hotel needs upgrade, no elevator and our suite was on the third floor, noticed some damage floor around the pool area, no ventilation in the bathroom, but the staff were wonderful and food was delicious!

Lovely stay. The staff overall were very friendly. It’s a very relaxed hotel. The inclusive package was very good, easy to eat and drink too much!
We had a junior suite overlooking the sea and it was a big room with everything you needed. Overall the hotel is a little tired. We were told it closing for a year in July for total refurbishment and it is needed. The area/road outside of the hotel is very busy and not really ideal for walking along.

The location is amazing for beach access and relaxing. Head to the south for more to do in a walkable distance.
Most of the staff are literally amazing (some are on "island time" and frustrate the really hard working staff more than they do the customers!). They work their socks off- largely to make up for the shameful way Marriott have delayed spending money on the property (and I guess, the previous owners).
It is falling apart. It is due to close midway through '24 for a complete makeover. They were changing over £1000 a night over Christmas and New Year, which is quite frankly shameful considering the state of the hotel. Avoid sadly until it re-opens. You can be happy here (and we were), but you have to ignore the fact you are being ripped off just to be close to the beach and focus on how fortunate you are to be away whilst many can't. The island itself, is amazing.

I thought this property was very quaint and although some areas have wear and tear, the food and staff and size of rooms was a definitely plus. Loved the size of the property and the location.

Beautiful location, friendly staff and decent food overall. Our first room was very outdated, AC was making loud whistling sound and toilet was leaking onto bathroom floor. We notified front desk and it was taken care of the next day. Antonia the manager came and found us and said she was aware of the problems and they were going to move us to an upgraded room. The next room was as good as the first room was bad. Much better view, amenities, overall comfort. Very thankful that they took care of us. Free water sports are a definite plus and the beach swimming area is very nice and safe, pools are nice. Overall the food was good but not great. We are vegetarian and our options were completely limited and lacking unless we ate the buffet, which was pretty good. The drinks were good and all included. All the servers were very attentive and sweet. The woman making omelets is a joy! The sister restaurants-Positano and Shiso at the Waves were excellent and I highly recommend eating at the other properties. Water taxi is free during the day but you have to take taxis after 4 pm. Taxis are pretty pricey but if you’re adventurous take the bus it’s only 3.60 Barbados! My only suggestion is that concierges we spoke to were not that knowledgeable and had to look up answers to any questions we had. One last thing the Wifi is pretty bad, but I hate to complain about overall lovely experience!

We checked in yesterday and so far, so good. HOWEVER, Expedia says Tamarind had a hot tub, and it does not. It’s not a huge thing, but it was one of the amenities we considered when booking our hotel in Barbados. I don’t know if this was an honest mistake or not, but either way it’s disappointing

Stayed 7 nights , very limited eating options, limited entertainment and this was Christmas
Staff all look as they really don’t want to be there.

This hotel is in a great location for a beach holiday. Unfortunatley the standard of service is simply horrific (even by local standards)- as bad as we have experienced in travelling to Barbados for over 30 years - you are treated more like prisoners than guests!
Front desk, pool staff, bar staff, beach sports - almost all very poor with no interest in providing a positive guest experience.
I understand the hotel is being upgraded during 2024, however the reality is that if the staff and their attitudes remain the same then it's never going to deliver.

I read a lot of the reviews about this place and have to say I was worried a bit about l the staff. HOWEVER, in the experience I had, I had to say that the staff had to be the best thing about this place. It was an amazing experience, even one of them. I wish I was better with names, but the two who stood out were the young lady working the front desk on Wed 15th November at 645pm, and the young lady working the desk at Friday 17th November 5pm same young lady on Saturday 18th November 1130am . I have to day the two were very pleasant and helpful. The young lady from Fri and Sat went out of her way trying to get a car rental for me at the last min. I want to say a heart felt thanks to the two of them.
Rooms:
Had room 333, the room was very clean, with a great view of the sea. It was on the other side of the restaurant. However, it was not a problem as the walkover was just about 1 minute. The building that the room is in seems to be a little dated hallways, feel a little small , however, with some additional lighting, it can feel a little more open.
On-site, there is water activity. If you are doing the tubing or sailing, you will need to book. Snorkeling, paddle board, and kayaking are first come, first serve but seem to always be available.
Food and drinks
As much as the food was a constant supply for an all-inclusive and the drinks never stop. I have to say I was a little disappointed in the opinion.
Breakfast
I was hoping for a lil of the Barbados breakfast experienc

Property is old and very tired. Things like the water to wash off sand and salt at beach exit not working. Food was average at best. The staff was not very friendly in the restaurant. Front reception staff were excellent. I know property is due to close in April 2024 for renovations, so it should get the upgrades needed. However they need to have better trained staff, and the people working there have to have a better understanding of the business their in and need an attude adjustment.

Thoroughly enjoyed our fortnight stay.. Sophia and her staff ( too many staff to name!) couldn’t have been more helpful and attentive.

Staff were good for most part however some staff were extremely unfriendly and almost rude . It’s a shame because some were excellent. One restaurant is a negative and the same foods at breakfast everyday get a little boring.

I am a woman that decided to take this trip solo for one week. Food was great, every night I felt like I was having something different and it was tasty. Rooms are clean and room service shows up on a regular. My only complaint about this hotel is majority of the staff. There was only literally a handful of staff members that were genuinely nice and helpful but the rest of them were rude as ever. A lot of eye rolling and I even experienced 2 people actually raised their voices at me. I had a very difficult time calling room service up to my room because they did not answer the phone and there was quite a few times I had to walk downstairs to get attention just to place the order. I made sure I tipped and even when I did you can tell no one really wanted to do anything still. This place is good for a one time visit, won’t be coming back.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. My room was spacious and very comfortable. I liked the three different pools and there were always enough lounge chairs to relax in. The cocktails were delicious and there were different food options daily which was great. I was only disappointed that I didn’t get to go to the spa during my stay as I couldn’t get through to them on the phone.
I would definitely stay again, for longer.

Our room was very nice with a lovely view of the sea and we could enjoy the stunning sunsets every night
The dinners and service at the hotel were also excellent and the staff were friendly and welcoming.
3.0 / 5.0
This not an all inclusive package. Limited options on meals , boring and repetitive , terrible options for lunch, extermily limiter dinner options. Odor in room washroom when tap is used.No entertainment other things

The reception, bar, dining and beach staff were all naturally friendly and full of Caribbean joy. Special mention must be made of Mikaela and Astrid in reception Well Done !!! The 3 bar girls by the pool for the delicious drinks and tons of laughter. Thanks Ether for the fantastic breakfasts and your bright morning smiles. Our room was heavenly comfortable and clean, food for good...Iralian dinner in Positano's was outstanding. 5 out of 5 rating for our vacation Thanks Tamarind !!

Made to feel welcome from the minute I arrived. The property is lovely, the staff excellent and efficient and the food was good. I had a wonderful week and will come back here. My only suggestion - put a USB port in the rooms please!

It was a great experience. We stayed one night but got a free upgrade! The staff was amazing; both friendly and courteous. We couldn't ask for a better experience, I only wish we could have stayed one more night!

The good things was the food was good and the dining staff were helpfull. The beach has a corral reef that is excellent for snorkeling. And the area was quiet in the evening.
The bad is that the rooms were in disrepair (bathroom ceiling leaked, toilet flush was almost falling off) and the King Size bed cannot fit three people because the bed is uncomfortable in the middel. The beach cannot be entered without water shoes because there are too many corral rocks . Lastly, we paid via Expedia in US dollars and the hotel charged in Barbadose resultig in an extra $150 charge!

My stay was absolutely horrendous and shocking experience as a Travel Agent from the United States. The staff was very rude and unwelcoming. I noticed the staff was very nice to their UK guest visiting for holiday. I was wearing a jogging suit and was stopped by more than one guest who thought I was an employee. The female employees outside of one Food and Beverage manager wouldn’t serve me. They talked amongst themselves and made rude gestures and comments. I was the only guest visiting from the US. I was visiting only for one night in hopes of finding a new property for my clients. What a waste of time and money to fly so far away to be treated as if my business doesn’t matter to their business. This post won’t stop here, people should know outside of the US Marriott properties aren’t friendly at all.

Beautiful scenery.. Some Lovely staff... But as a whole for Barbados.. rudness.. Slovenly attitudes, terrible service really really terrible. Food not great.. But some staff make up for it... Paradise makes you less upset.. However marriot needs to take a look in the mirror for repeat guest l am not going to be. Despite the scenery.. I advise a huge no for the service.. But a huge yes for everything else..

I booked based on ratings for a 3-night stay.
Rooms were ok, but my bedding was rather musty. Television didn’t work, and I asked for that to be remedied right away. Never did get someone to look at it, even after 3 requests. Plumbing ventilation was poor, so every now and again it would wreak in the bathrooms. Coffee maker did not work.
Meals were decent, but overall underwhelming. A portion of the sea wall at the property was damaged, so a good chunk of the property was closed off.
All the ‘little’ things sorta added up enough in my head to leave an informative review.
Service personnel were great overall, so that was nice to see. Wi-Fi was good.
All in all, I feel that this is a property that needs some TLC, and perhaps a slightly better menu.

We were very disappointed. The staff was very unfriendly. Made us feel like everything we asked for was a choir on their part.
We chose this location before it was "kid friendly" we were told there was a kid program, there was nothing set up for her to do. We have a 12 year old, and there were no daily activities for her to do, which was okay, but it was false advertisement. They didn't even have the water trampoline which she was looking very forward to. The "sister locations for restaurants, she was only allowed at 1 of them, the other are over 18. There are birds all over the on-site restaurant, flying all over the dishes and food, the staff does nothing to keep them off.
The wall at the beach is broken and roped off.
They do have the water sports which are advertised and the men that run them are very helpful.

Great Hotel with brilliant views, spacious rooms, friendly staff. You get access to services (restaurant pool) of a bunch of "sister" hotels along the west coast too.
Part of the seafront had collapsed and was awaiting repairs.
The staff was very friendly, although reception was a bit messy with the bookings at times. The Restaurant is often magnificent (the a-la-carte menu especially).

The property is okay. The rooms are subpar. I can’t complain too much. I got what I paid for, an $1100 trip including flight for 3 nights; quick cheap trip.
Please eat at the Italian restaurant for dinner EVERY NIGHT, outside of that you will be dissatisfied. Breakfast is okay. Flies everywhere. Some food covered and some not.
The rooms are a “NO.” Dirty sheets, tiny insects crawling throughout the room. AC linkage. Cosmetically the property is an eye sore.
I had an encounter w/ a staff that was beyond obnoxious. However, the property manager handled my complaint with grace.
I don’t recommend this resort.

Pictures are very deceiving! There is no beach area really and the pool is very small. Another disappointing fact was the food, it is not all inclusive type - they have a continental breakfast and a la cart options for lunch and dinner. Food was tasty but very limited for an “all inclusive”. I wont return there!

The location and hotel building was excellent and the staff very professional and friendly. The reception team at the hotel made the checkin easy and we’re always available for help and advice. Will definitely return to this hotel.
