This was the second time staying at Ridgecot House in the last 11 years and it didn't disappoint. We enjoyed the tropical landscape, overall house condition and fantastic location.

Owner is very responsive. Stayed here before so knew how everything worked. Has all facilities we needed as a family of 4. Would definitely stay again. Thanks.

The villa was just as I expected from reading the description before booking and previous reviews.
There is a lot on offer for a reasonable price and I would definitely book again (already checked for next year but someone’s beating me to it).

First impressions were excellent and continued throughout our stay. House and gardens were immaculately presented and everything had been thought of to make our stay as comfortable and convenient as possible. Difficult to find anything negative, I guess the pool is fairly small if you intend to use it for exercise (we didn’t), otherwise the garden/pool space is beautiful and we spent many hours in the outside covered area. Nikki the housekeeper was excellent and she kept the place spotless. We had a few problems with air conditioning in the last 48 hours which was just unfortunate and can’t blame anyone. Certainly wouldn’t put us off returning. If you want a great house in the perfect location for the West coast then don’t hesitate to book this, you won’t be disappointed.

A lovely well kept property. Walking distance to the beach club where you can use the sun beds at the Fairmont. Ideally need a car to make the most of your stay on the island. Holetown is a 20-25 minute walk and part of the walk there are no footpaths. Kevin the gardener and Nikki the housekeeper are both lovely and friendly and go about their work in happy friendly way. I would certainly recommend Ridgecot House.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this property. The property owner provided a fantastic contact to arrange airport pick up and drop off and everything went smoothly. The property manager was always accessible if we had any questions.
The house is spacious and perfectly located across the street from a wonderful resort and the beach. Guest access to the resort and amenities were provided with the property rental (thank you!) and we enjoyed relaxing at the resort almost every day.
The house was very well maintained and cleaning service provided by the housekeeper much appreciated. There are several great places to eat within walking distance and transportation when a taxi was needed was a breeze. My friends and I stayed for a week and had everything we needed to relax and enjoy all Barbados has to offer. This property is definitely a place I would like to stay during my next visit!

A superb property well cared for and in excellent internal condition, set in well cared for grounds. Stunning location just a short walk from the beach, Lone Star and, although some distance, manageable to Holetown as well. Housekeeper is brilliant and keeps the house spotless but does so with a smile. Pool at rear is perfect for the house size and is quiet which we loved, untroubled by racing children or noisy neighbours.

The house is great. Plenty of space. Feels private. Location is perfect for beach + Ju Ju’s / Lonestar. Bus stops right outside. Would definitely book again.

My wife, 2 year old and mother-in-law stayed at Ridgecot House recently and had a wonderful stay. The home is large, modern and very conducive to relaxation. The pool and grounds were great. The home is well managed and maintained and we felt well taken care of and pampered by regular housekeeping and concierge type assistance.
It’s very close to the beach with use of the facilities at the Fairmont across the street and very close to Holetown where we did our grocery shopping. The only issue that arose was some confusion as to where beach club members are allowed to occupy chairs/umbrellas and swim vs the hotel guests.

The property was beautiful. So relaxing and private. Nikki and Kevin were nice people and kept the house and grounds top notch. The beach and Holetown were great and there was a lot to do.

Had an excellent stay at Ridgecot House, Communication from the owners was excellent, the property is ideally situated had everything we needed for a fantastic holiday. Enjoyable walk along the beach in to Holetown. With all its fabulous restaurants. 7 minutes stroll to the Lone Star restaurant which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner.
The staff were very friendly and made sure the house was in top top condition throughout our stay.
Lazy days were spent by the pool or enjoying a cooling breeze whilst sat on the covered terrace enjoying morning coffee and of course evening cocktails.
Will definitely return

We had a very enjoyable stay in Ridgecot House. The house itself is beautiful and very comfortable, we felt at home immediately. The kitchen is extremely well stocked and this extends to the bathrooms with hairdryer & hair straightener for those who succumb to the humidity like myself. Beach towels are also available and the icing on the cake is the use of the Fairmont Beach Club passes where enjoyed many days lounging in the sun. Lastly the hosts, agent and housekeeper were fantastic to deal with. Overall we would highly recommend this villa as a great base for any vacation.

A wonderful home from home
I booked this villa as a base from which to attend a family wedding (so, no pressure!)
On our first full day we invited family and friends for an informal get together, and their reactions on entering the vaulted great room were as ours had been the day before - "WOW!"
The covered terrace was a great place to eat, drink, relax and take occasional refuge from the fiercest sunlight or occasional spectacular downpours, and the pool - which we imagined would be merely "a nice extra" - was absolutely invaluable, and hugely appreciated by kids and adults alike.
The house had absolutely everything we needed, was kept spotlessly clean by Nikki, is brilliantly located for Holetown, the beach (Kerry at the Fairmont makes a mean Bloody Mary, and thankyou to Doctor Cool for slathering us in Aloe Vera...), and more restaurants than we had time for. But whilst impressive, the house is also welcoming and homely (we never felt like impostors!), so much so that on our final night we cancelled our table at Tides, preferring to spend it "at home".
The garden, discreetly maintained by Kevin, is as beautiful as the house, if not more so. Apart from the regular frog chorus from dusk onwards, visitors included hummingbirds, dragonflies, lizards, a family of green monkeys and a litter of kittens.
Suffice to say we are as keen to return as we were reluctant to leave.

Beautiful house in a great location
House was perfect for our needs, with lots of space to chill out and be comfortable.
Short 2 min walk to the beach where sea was so delightful. Walkable distance to three good restaurants, 10 min walk to a local shop and a short bus journey to Holetown (on the Reggae bus, always interesting) for more excellent shopping and yet more restaurants and lovely large supermarket.
The very kind hosts left us a welcome hamper to get us through our first day at no cost ( thank so you). All the local people were lovely and so friendly.
In short, a great break and I would definitely recommend.

Amazing Luxury Home
Mother and 2 sisters spent a fabulous week at Ridgecot House. Villa is spacious, well appointed and immaculately maintained by housekeeper, Nikki. Gardens are truly beautiful and pool crystal clear. Mother is elderly, so the AC inside or the cool breeze on the terrace offered wonderful respite from the hot afternoon sun. Access to the beach & restaurants at the Fairmont across the road allowed us the perfect balance of "resort" and the comforts of our own space. There are world class dining experiences (Lone Star, The Tides, Lobster Alive, Fairmont) a short walk or cab ride away. We loved Barbados and the Ridgecot House.

Great House, Great Stay !
Just spend 10 days at the beautiful Ridgecot House. The property is in a perfect location, a 20 min walk or 5 min bus/cab ride to Holetown, and a 3 min walk to the beach (Fairmont beach club passes included are a great bonus). The house itself is stylish and very well looked after (thanks Ester) with lovely gardens and small pool to cool down in if you're not at the beach.
Would definitely recommend !

Happy days in Barbados
Fantastic holiday in a wonderful home in Barbados. The villa had everything, and it was lovely it was a home rather than just a villa. The owners were very very helpful and made it easy navigating the Covid rules, and Ester kept the place tip top whilst we were there.
The beach passes were an added bonus, with daily visits to the beach to snorkel on the reef, just off the beach, or just watching the sea. Couple of nice restaurants nearby JuJu’s and Juma to watch the sunsets, and fantastic meals at Tides, The Fish Pot and Champers a little further away.
After a difficult couple of years with the dreaded Covid, was just the tonic to completely switch off and relax - unfortunately back to the grind stone now, with the memories keeping us all going, until the next visit. Would recommend to anyone.

What a beautiful villa!
We have just returned from a truly amazing holiday at Ridgecot House. We (2 adults and 4 older teens) were in quarantine for the first week, but it wasn't a hardship at all as the villa has so much space and a gorgeous little pool, and Yonette kindly arranged for our shopping to be delivered. The kitchen has everything you need, and al fresco dining with the birds and the tree frogs was very special. The villa itself has 3 beautiful en-suite bedrooms and a huge vaulted living room - a real wow factor. The location is great and the use of the Royal Pavilion Beach Club was a super bonus. We hired a car, but also used the reggae buses which passed by and were great fun. Esther, the housekeeper, looked after us wonderfully. Thank you so much, we would LOVE to return one day.

Perfect location on the beautiful West Coast. The pictures do not do this villa justice. Tina and her management team worked tirelessly and efficiently to ensure our stay met all of our expectations. Would highly recommend staying here to anyone planning a trip to Barbados.

Great property in a great location
We did have have issues with the fridge breaking down but this was sorted within a few days.
As for Barbados the island is not ready for Guest’s we have been the island on several occasions with no issues but this trip due to the covid situation we would say that only 50% of Barbados is open, most of the hotels on the island are closed until further notice this caused us a problem as we were unable to use the fairmont beach club passes, we did manage to hire some beach loungers elsewhere for $20 per day each.
Restaurants can also be a problem with some only open weekends & others very intermittent
This is a world wide problem and in no way any fault of the owners.
For us this was a very different experience to our previous times in Barbados.
We look forward to returning back to Barbados when the world returns back to normal.

Ridgecot house is is a perfect location only a 1/2 minute walk to the beach . The house is beautifully furnished and well
Stocked with everything you could possibly need. Having a housekeeper is an address bonus. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this property - it was excellent and the membership of the Fairmount beach club was the icing on the cake

Lovely villa lovely location
Thoroughly enjoyed our time spent at this wonderful villa. Housekeeper Ester was a joy to have around. Weather could have been better but coming this time of year it's what we expected. Beach Club great....look out for Ryan. He was so welcoming. Sad to be going home.

Amazing Property & Owners!
We stayed here for 2 weeks with multi generational family group. With the BA strike, that impacted our group, the owners were incredible, so helpful and accommodating us in any way possible. Any questions that arose they dealt with swiftly and promptly. The house itself is very homely and well designed with less than a minute to what felt like a private beach.
I couldn’t recommend them more if I tried.
Simply loved it.

August 2019 vacation
Two families stayed in this property located near Holetown. The house itself has 2 bedrooms on the 1st floor and a BR on the second floor, each with a full bath. Kitchen is very spacious as well as the LR/ dining area. All rooms are equipped with separate A/C units. Everything was kept clean by the housemaid, towels were provided daily, except Sundays. A nice addition is the deck (we had long breakfasts every day) adjacent to the pool that everyone loved, particularly the children. The entire property is very private since it has a gate and walls around the yard with nice landscaping.
The property is located at a main road. I was initially concerned about the traffic noise, but it was actually quite in the house and the backyard. Across the street is the pavilion hotel, which has restaurants and a beach club (3 mins walking distance from the house). The beach is great, water is very shallow, and although there is some reef, there are also sand banks, that our kids loved. The reefs are great for snorkeling. Water sports are offered by local vendors. During our visit in August it was not crowded at all. Only a few days there were more people, but there were always covered sun lounges available. The staff is very friendly. In general, the people in Barbados are very friendly, considerate, and helpful. There are really nice restaurants in the area, particularly in Holetown, It can be pricey though, but food, service and locations are exceptional. Overall we had a wonderful vacation and I don’t have any hesitation to recommend this property. The owners contacted us prior our visit, gave valuable advise, and answered questions in a timely fashion.

Wonderful family holiday!
My wife and I have just returned from a wonderful family holiday at Ridgecot House with our two sons. We knew before we arrived that we were heading somewhere pretty special as all the reviews for the property are excellent and justifiably so. This really is a beautiful property in a great location and the beach club membership is a real bonus. We were looked after by the lovely Esther, who keeps the villa immaculately clean. She also cooked us a delicious Bajan dinner one evening!
We hired a car for the duration of our two week stay which gave us the opportunity to explore the island (also came in handy for the shopping trips to the Massy supermarket in Holetown).
The villa is just a few minutes walk to the lovely Lone Star restaurant, if you want to head somewhere a little bit special. It is also great for a morning coffee after a stroll along the beach. We also loved eating a Ju Ju’s beach bar for both lunch and dinner - great shrimp and also killer rum punches! Top Deck is also good for dinner and great cocktails.
We have no hesitation in recommending Ridgecot House for the perfect Barbados holiday.

Beautiful house
We had a wonderful week at Ridgecot. The house is beautiful and spacious and kept spotlessly clean by Esther who is delightful, and very friendly and helpful. The location of the house is fantastic too, close to beautiful beaches.
We didn’t spend a huge amount of time by the pool as we had a car and wanted to explore the island during our days here.
It was perfectly situated for that too.
We very much enjoyed our stay and would thoroughly recommend Ridgecot for a lovely holiday.

Beautiful home, in a great location
We have just returned from a wonderful family holiday at Ridgecot,it was our second consecutive Easter. We tried to book for Easter 2020, but it came as no surprise, that someone else has managed to book this fantastic home for next Easter, they will not be disappointed. Esther, the housekeeper looked after us so well, as did Donald & Suzanne, in driving us around. We will return to Ridgecot in the future.

Home from Home!!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay st Ridgecot beautiful house with garden and pool right beside the beach. The house is exactly as described. We loved the beach club membership, had lunch there several times and also JuJus beach bar a few metres away.
As a Sunday treat we enjoyed a fabulous lunch at Lonestar also a short walk away. Having the barbecue and spacious outdoor terrace meant we could also relax on a few nights after shopping at Massey’s supermarket for all our supplies. Had an amazing time would definitely return. Thank you again to Esther for looking after us so we’ll and to Tina for helping with transport etc with very quick and informative responses. Unforgettable holiday!!

Wonderful stay at a beautiful house in a good location.
The house and gardens are very well maintained. The rooms are large and the facilities good. There is nothing we could have wanted that was not available. The housekeeper kept everything clean and tidy but we did not see her very much as we were usually out when she came . The beach passes were a particularly great asset. Thank you for allowing us to stay

Beautiful property with all the amenities of home
The Ridgecot House is truly a beautiful home with even more beautiful plantings/trees that really enhance the tropical setting. We stayed as a family of four with two little boys (2.5 and 4 years old). They each had their own bedroom which they were thrilled with. Each bedroom has its own bathroom which was a plus and the house was much more spacious than we thought when booked.
The grounds outside and around the pool rival any of that which are found at a 5 star resort and the house and appliances have been thoughtfully updated. The boys enjoyed the walk to the beach across the street, the pool in the early evenings, eating meals outside, playing in the yard, swinging on the swing, the green monkeys in the front yard, giant snails on the walkways at night, and the frogs that sat on the front steps at sundown. They were in heaven!
The house is centrally located and everything is a short drive away (Massys supermarket, fish market, gas stations, shops, etc). Esther kept a good eye on the house throughout the stay and worked every day from about 10am-2pm, she is truly an asset to the property and does well maintaining it!
Thank you for everything!

Excellent stay from start to finish
We stayed here as a party of 5, 2 couples and 1 teenager. All 3 bedrooms and bathrooms where a great size and no one felt they had to compromise. The house was amazing, very spacious. We stayed over Christmas and new year and the house had been decorated with a Christmas tree and other ornaments, this was a lovely touch and made our stay more magical. The pool was perfect, we used it mostly of a morning, you could follow the sun around until about 3pm ish. Esther was really friendly and helpful, we loved our occasional chats.
The location was perfect, a short walk to holetown or a 5 minute ride on the Rasta bus, highly recommended. A very short stroll across the road led to the beach club where you have free access to sunbeds.
Tina was a great host from my first contact over a year before our stay to us arriving home. The welcome grocery pack arranged was excellent and really made a difference.
In short I would definitely recommend Ridgecot House and would stay again if I was ever back in Barbados.

Ridgecot House - sheer class
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Ridegcot House - we stayed there 12 years ago, and the property remains in pristine condition, wonderfully looked after by Esther. A welcome addition has been the membership of the Fairmont Beach Club just across the road, which we used liberally. You have a wonderful home, thanks for sharing it with us. It is a class act, we were left wanting for nothing, and were able to relax and enjoy Barbados.

Beautiful property, fantastic holiday and perfect location
This is the first time we have visited the Island and stayed in a villa and it did not disappoint! Firstly the location is perfect with a really short walk to the beach. The addition of the beach club passes really made the trip, especially with two young children. The staff there were great and very accommodating.
The property itself is beautiful, it was the perfect size for our party (4 adults 2 children) The kitchen was well equipped and the house had all the amenities you would need. The master suite is massive and luxurious! The house far exceeded our expectations.
The whole process from booking through to coming home has been seamless and Tina has been so helpful and quick to respond to questions. Esther was fantastic with the house and built a real bond with the kids so much so they were sad to leave her!
We absolutely loved it and would really like to return soon.

Beautiful villa in a great location !!
9th - 23rd July 2018.....
We have had many holidays in Barbados over the years, but this was our first in a villa and on the West coast and we couldn't have chosen a better home / area !
The villa is as spacious and spotlessly clean as it looks in the photos, the gardens are lovely and everything you need to make your holiday go well is there. We even had occasional visits from a local green monkey family which added to the fun (they don't trouble you at all).
To be honest we didn't make as much use of the Beach Club membership at Fairmont as we could / should until later in the holiday, but the beach / sea was lovely and the turtles are right there, if you're lucky ! Amazing sunsets too (weather permitting).
Esther is a fantastic host / housekeeper and nothing is too much trouble, she is a credit to the owners and to the island.
We had the use of a car that allowed us to get around the island and visit several restaurants that are out of reach by foot (it's too hot anyway), but the Limegrove area where there are several good restaurants / beach bars is only about 20 minutes walk if you feel the need. Zaccios and The Mews were amongst our favourites here and going north the fantastic Lone Star is only a 10 minute stroll along the beach, or road.
We will definitely return in the future - many, many thanks to Tina, Esther and Barbara for arranging everything, taking care of us and ensuring we had a very memorable holiday !
Keep up the great work !

Lovely villa
This villa is as lovely as it looks in the photos and the daily maid service is hugely welcome. The location is only two minutes walk from the sea and the use of the sun loungers at the Fairmont Hotel is an added bonus. There are bars and restaurants only a short walk away and Holetown just five minutes down the road.
