The room was clean. The area is not the best. I had an ashtray of all things stolen when some homeless folks walked through the property. The manager wasn’t helpful regarding the tv in one room that wasn’t working, and finally moved me to another room where the bathroom light was out. I asked for a bulb to replace, but he never got off his butt to get me a new bulb.

The place is so run down. Shower head was barely strong enough to wash body but having long hair was troublesome so didn't even bother to wash hair again in the morning. Toilet bowl has color stain as its seems like water been sitting there for a awhile. Kids wanted to swim in the pool that why they book the place but it was in a horrible state, half filled and dirty green water. TV was broken, AC cover was broken, no Microwave, no Coffee pot, no Towels, and all bed sheets including blankets was stained even when we ask for another bed cover. We had to keep the AC on all night because the room smell like smoke. Luckily we brought our own towels because their towels smell and not even white. Please take them off Hotels.com as we are very unsatisfied this this stay. A full refund would be very appreciated since we all suffered a horrible time not being able to enjoy a clean restfull night after a long day at the lake. Wish I could've taken more photos to document the horrible conditions.

This place advertised that it was clean and the pool was functional. We checked in late from traveling and had no other options. The rooms were all dirty, bed covers were stained, bathrooms were dirty. They offered a room with no toilet seat, I could not sleep all night and would like my refund! I would never want anyone else to experience this filth.

I got a knock at 9am from housecleaning after getting in at 3:30 am. Check-out was at 11 am. The door had no peep hole devise, so I had to assume it was really housekeeping. Th room fire alarm had no cover but had exposed wires

Room was dirty. Stains on the sheets. Not enough towels available and not washed properly. Very old furniture. Pool out if order and looking like a garbage dump. Service not available. You will sure find a better place for the same money.

The weather was pretty hot 108 for Merced, upon checking into our room we noticed the pool area rope off closed and green water and trash all in the pool! We tried to go get Ice and ice machine out of order and the vending machine are out of order!! We go to turn on our TV and No Signal TV out of order! No WiFi service either at this hotel . We went to complain to front desk and wouldn't answer the door. I went back to the room use the phone rang rang they wouldn't answer!!! We were so exhausted from our trip from Las Vegas Nevada to Merced California we said we would try and talk to them on Saturday the agent said his manager will get back to me. Never happened upon check out Sunday morning there office closed and no answer the phone either on this day . Horrible experience with this location. The only one thing I can say was they had good AC and good water pressure for cold showers! Never coming back to this property again Jorge Martinez

Worst experience, had to be switch out of rooms three times. Manager was very unpleasant, he was sleeping and seemed annoyedwhen we arrived for check in. We checked in at around 7pm. We selected this hotel because of the pool (I have pictures) Pool was out of service, green water. First room- the bathroom lights were out Second room- smoke smell, we had requested non-smoking. Third room- our final option, dirty, air-conditioner smelled weird and curtains were all stained. Manager, was very rude, was not answering our calls and lock himself in the office for hours. Other guest waited up to an hour to check in.

I went to check in and no one was at the reception desk to check me in. After getting there the pool was half empty and looked like a sewer the doors to all the rooms had peeled paint and all in all it looked run down. From the lack of personal it seriously looked like no one worked there anymore

Houskeeping didn't come in the room to clean, not once in 4 days. The waste baskets were not emptied. The shower was lukewarm to cold. The swimming pool was filthy and looked like it hadn't been used in years. The bed sheets looked as though they hadn't been changed. I should have checked out on the first day but the reservation was prepaid and I doubt I would have gotten a refund, so I toughed it out, I won't do that again!

We checked in and checked out within the hour,we had a very low wi-fi signal, the pool was empty and full of trash while it’s 110 degrees out, should have had it ready for summer! The room itself was clean but definitely not what you see in pictures, there’s just enough space in the room for you to walk in, not comfortable for two or more people, bathroom door wouldn’t close, and in a room that small you definitely need the bathroom door to close, definitely a two star type of hotel for one person

I expect a Travel Lodge to at least be clean. Sheets and towels were not white and had smudges of light brown on them. Bugs in room. Check in man was Luke warm at best. I would not stay at this one in Merced again. 😢

So upon arrival the office was closed & a sign stated “Closed” I’ve always stayed at this hotel since my son began attending UC Merced almost 4 years ago. This time was different, the hotel was dirty but most importantly UNSAFE. My son & daughter were with me & there were a few people walking around the parking lot, a guy looked in our room as he walked by, knocked on a room door upstairs & then proceeded to walk back by look in our room again. The room smelled like smoke, I asked to be changed but then a homeless woman tried to go in the laundry woman with her bag of clothes & the office clerk had to go and kick her out. I went to call the front office & there was no phone cord it was just the phone which tells me that if I did need help I wouldn’t be able to get any. My kids & I immediately got out of there. The young man, i believe the owners son, cancelled my room. I’ve never had issues but this time it was completely unsafe for me & my family.

The pictures showed something completely different from what we got in person we asked why the room look different from the pictures and said if we came earlier we would’ve gotten the rooms in the pictures. It was basically like a first come first serve but they never stayed it until the booking or else we would’ve came earlier. The too we got was extremely small and the bed was a full, we had booked for a queen. We called the front office and they asked for 20$ extra for one of the rooms we originally booked for. False advertisement don’t recommend.

The Pool is not usable (never been cleaned) Either clean the pool or take it off the web site. Stayed three nights with no maid service. Hotel is clean and not any trouble at night. Ok for a stay on the road.

This property was unclean and had no hot water. I had to take freezing cold showers during my three day stay. The person at the front desk was no help. He moved me to a different room and I still had no hot water. They should not even be allowed to have people stay there. Definitely a safety issue with the cleanliness of the rooms.

so after we arrived we could see very clearly that this place was nothing like the photos you have on line. The pool was green, the paint was peeling off the building. The service was kinda rude. So at the end of the day we canceled our room and went to another hotel.

Booked this place because its easy access towards Yosemite. But let it be known this place was a little dirty, Internet is ran off a Hotspot so yea it just didn't work at all even though they will say it does. Just stay at the motel 6 down the st. Wifi works and Clean rooms cheaper price

My family traveled to Merced this past weekend. We were visiting The University of Merced. We had the worst hotel stay ever!! I've stayed at other Wyndham properties before and never Have I had an experience like this. No 24/7 front desk. The front desk person had no customer service skills. Very unprofessional. The room has a very horrible stench. The lights don't work. The phone doesn't work. The television doesn't work.m Towels are paper thin. Pool is green. It is clear that there are people that live here. When trying to ask front desk to rectify these things they just shrugged it off and said sometimes they work sometimes they don't. This is not a very good representation of a Wyndham property. I'm wondering if this is one of the hotels They turned into a homeless shelter during the pandemic because it's definitely giving off that type of vibe. Avoid this place at all costs!!

My bed had stains on it and there were no towels when I checked in. I let the front desk know and they told me to go find the housekeeper to get towels…. So I asked where she was and they told me she was actively cleaning rooms and I needed to go find her…I could see if I had been staying there and need my towels replenished but I checked in to this.

This property should not be on your website! The pictures that are shown is not correct and lies! It was very dirty! Sheets, bedspread, bathroom, doors everything you can possibly think of. Upon arrival we noticed graffiti on the building and when we parked next to the pool it was green water I’m sure lots of bugs. I will never get a room from your website again, very disappointing.

When we rented the room we were told that the sound on the TV did not work, we were OK with that. HOWEVER they did not tell us there was NO cord for the hair dryer, no pot for the coffee maker, and also the phone in the was not active since we attending a family baby shower and had the room for 2 nights this caused alot of inconvenience!
