DO NOT STAY HERE! This hotel is disgusting. The rooms are extremely dated and the hallways look like you stepped into the NYC Projects. Our bathroom walls had large cracks; a dripping faucet; and dirty tub. The main lobby of the hotel looks grand, but please know that this is just a facade. Once you step off the elevators you’ll quickly see the poor conditions of this hotel. The floors are dark (very poor lighting); have dirty carpet full of stains; and cracks throughout. Many airline workers seem to stay here and I do believe that the executive rooms may be of better standard, but regardless, this is a 4 Star hotel that resembles a 1 Star. We complained to management and had our room changed. However, the next room on another floor was no different and had brown water coming out the sink. The pictures that I’m sharing don’t highlight it fully. Stay at your own risk! Thank God we were only there for 1 night.

Great stay. Paid extra to have an updated and larger room.

No hot water in shower. When I complained to the front desk. They did not apologize or respond. Just have me a card to email management. Not close to being worth $600.O0 which included their hidden$35.00 facility fee.
FYI, I generally love this hotel because of it's proximity to Penn Station and it's gym

We have stayed here 4 years in a row and love the New Yorker! My only concern is the lack of space to put ANYTHING in the bathrooms. Other than that, the New Yorker is wonderful!

I stay at the New Yorker every time I see a show at the Garden, several times a year. The staff is awesome, its very convenient to restaurants and overall I always have a good stay.

It was a great stay although there were a few strands of hair that did not belong to me in the bathroom and on newly washed towels. EEEK! Other than that, a small coffee pot could have been a great addition but otherwise great stay, close to MSG which was a winner.

Great location in relation to Port Authority Bus station, Madison Square Garden and Bryant Park.
Walls were thin, heard the neighbors talking and got woken up early by their shower. Room was little, but the locaton to where we wanted to go was perfect. Room was outdated, but clean.

Ok stay, not the best not the worst. Didn't like the pushy sales people in the lobby trying to get you to be more involved in Wyndham. Honestly would try another location next time, rather than another stay here.
Hotel bar was hilariously overpriced considering how many $10 bottles of vodka they stocked.

The room was kept very clean while I stayed there.

There are parts of the hotel that are a little tired and in need of renovation. My room had a faucet that fell off - many paint dings and old materials..... BUT it was spotlessly clean - the staff were wonderful, the place has tons of old school charm (a renovation would need to keep the period character) and the location wonderful. Really enjoyed my stay.

The room was a bit small.

We didn’t have a refrigerator as we did on our last trip, this was one of the reasons we booked here

Did the job for a night going to MSG for a concert, seemed a little old and small inside, couldn't stay there for a week. Really good water pressure however would spray out of the tub.

Had a very nice stay. The room was small but comfortable. Hotel elevators worked fine. Maybe there is info about parking accommodations on the website but I assumed the hotel had parking - it does not. $72 / night. I called the hotel upon arrival, I was on 8th and 31st to ask about parking and the person on the phone said such-n-such parking lot has a discount to hotel patrons but she could not tell me how to get there. After going around the block I picked the first parking lot I encountered and they do not have a discount agreement with the hotel. Too bad so sad! The hotel is so close to MSG it's within a short walk.

Extremely pleased with my stay at the lovely New Yorker! In town for shows at MSG and Broadway and the location was perfect—walkable! Appreciated feeling very safe with staff and security.
My Only issue was there was not wifi connection in my room, so I was unable to research the city as needed on my phone or relax with television at night.

No hot water, sink was clogged, room was worn down. Probably will never book a room through Hotels.com again.

The hotel needs a major facelift. It looks dirty because the paint and tile is so old. The line to check in was so long (over 30 minutes wait) that we were going to miss the start of a sporting event we came to NYC to see. As a result, we checked our bags so we could get to the event on time and check in later. They charged us $5.

Horrible. Was discriminated against as a lesbian couple.

The room we had shared a wall with the elevator system. It was very noisy and we didn’t get much sleep. It was very loud and would shake the room.

Miguel did a great job checking us in, making sure our upgrade was granted. Our room was spacious. Our stay at the hotel was great from beginning to end. Thanks for a great experience.

Hotel was great for MSG show, almost right across the street. Clean, large enough room given it is NYC. Not inexpensive, but not crazy either.

Great hotel fantastic location service was wonderful. TikTok restaurant has great meals for breakfast lunch and dinner and it’s located within the hotel. There’s also bar area for those that need a nightcap. The bathroom was pretty small, but I do realize this is an older hotel. it has a lot of character and cool decor.

Super convenient location a block from MSG. Just a quick overnight, and everyone was pleasant and helpful, and the beds were really comfortable!

We had a great stay. The front desk was amazing. Proximity to MSG was phenomenal for the concert. All the staff was pleasant and very helpful. We also enjoyed the Tick Tock diner, great food. The rooms were very clean and neat. The balcony was amazing with a great view. If youre ever going to to a concert at MSG this is the place to stay. 1 block away from the venue. Will definitely stay again.

This hotel is old, out dated and has the most unprofessional and rude staff/ employees
. I could never book this hotel again.

Everything was nice but the food was not great. Greasy and not much flavour. I would go again if the food was better. The The housekeeping staff were amazingly wonderful.

Great stay. Great food at the diner and steakhouse.

Stay was fine but check in was questionable. Upon booking, I requested a fridge because a fridge was available upon request. When I checked in, the guy at the front desk wanted to charge me $30/day for the fridge and he also mentioned there is a charge for the coffee maker! I never heard the like before but then, after I questioned it, he told me no charge, like he was doing me a favour! I just finished checking in and went on up to my room. Funny thing was he called house keeping to get me a fridge and there was already one in the room.
The rest of my stay,5 nights, was fine.
Great location!

Very dated and need if refurbishment. Be careful when booking.

Excellent for business. Rooms are small but functional - this is an historic hotel and you’re in the middle of nyc. Your room will be steps from the elevators and that’s well designed - not much waiting
