It is a very tired old resort - it is dated and needs a major face-lift. It does remind us a bit like the resort in the movie Dirty Dancing.
Very clean, friendly staff, in the center of North Conway, wonderful view of the scenery, especially from the dining room. Great family facilities: indoor pool, outdoor pool, mini putt, games room, etc..
I would like to give it a higher rating, as I could picture what it must have been in its prime.

The parking is rather far away. The tv was extremely small but the rooms were clean

Room smelled musty and seems to have gotten wet at some point. Woke up not feeling well.

We didn’t stay after we checked in. We checked out and found a clean hotel.

The room smelled very musty, so much so that it was difficult to sleep. There was also a pet fee that was not disclosed at booking.

Overall a good stay. Room was clean, but needed updating. The property itself needed a total makeover. Area lights didn't work, mini golf course in total disrepair. Breakfast got the job done -very good coffee, hot food needed a few more options. Staff were friendly, always seemed busy.

The staff who checked us in were incredibly kind and pleasant- but when we opened the door to our room the smell overpowered us. I have very sensitive lungs from chemo and I could not breath in the room. We immediately checked out right after checking in.

It’s so lovely, spacious and serene - a surprise when we turned off busy Route 16.
The breakfasts are generous and delicious.
The faucet in my room 219 was extremely hard to turn on.

First walk into the building you can smell mildew. The outdoor pool was falling apart! Chunks of the pool were missing. The indoor pool had a funk to it. The jacuzzi had so much bacteria. Someone should be fired cause people and not doing their job. I would never go back.

Old old old! Hasn’t been updated since the 70’s no lie.

Overall I thought it was ok. The property itself seems that it hasn’t been kept up in a while. The road to drive up the property it’s filled with potholes, The outdoor pool it’s full of cracks around the pool also the inside of the pool has multiple cracks. The indoor pool smells bad like it was filled with bleach and the water did not look clean, couldn’t see the bottom of the pool the water was so cloudy/dirty. We left within a few second walking in the pool and did not go in. The staff was friendly and very informative, we have been coming here for a few years and this year by far it was not that great will be rethinking about going back. We really loved it there but the property it’s taking a toll and it seems nothing it’s been done about it.

Property very run down, nothing at all like the pictures and descriptions.

The property looks great from the street. A well kept lawn. A nice sign. But the trees hide the building. It’s a run down 2 story motel. Difference is motels you can park close to your room. Not here. You have to park 100 yards or so from the building. Once you get the key to your room (an actual key) you can make your way down the musty smelling hall with stains on the carpets. Get into your room to find (if you’re lucky) 2 outlets to use for your devices. Want to take a shower? Watch out for the mold behind the tiles that are barely grouted to the wall. Oh and don’t forget it’s an extra $20 per room as a “resort fee” to use the janky mini golf area and pool. Yes, they charge you to use the pool.

We absolutely loved our stay here. The only complaint we have is the hot tub needs a desperate cleaning as there was sand and paint chips in it. The water seemed dirty as well. The outside pool was falling apart as well. But overall a very nice stay.

Worked fine for us with our dogs. Our room was average. Quiet. Clean. Tv was not working properly. Breakfast decemt. Indoor pool was good. The outdoor pool needs to be redone for sure. And as soon as possible! No food on premise other than breakfast. Decent $.

The Fox Ridge Resort continues to decline from the musty odor smelling room to the shoddy “mini golf course” to the dated wallpaper and carpet. We have been four times in the past 9 years. This will be our last time. The linens and tub were clean. The carpet was nasty. The room was worn out as the sink drain needed maintenance on our first day because it wouldn’t drain. We found dead bugs two out of three mornings. The price was attractive but I’d rather spend an extra 100 for a nicer establishment. The outdoor pool needs some attention. A huge disappointment will the condition as this was a terrific family resort 8 - 10 years ago. Breakfast is offered.

Family friendly with plenty of activities (indoor and outdoor pools, mini golf). Rustic and secluded, with the property set back away from the main road. Only disappointment was the selection in the game room.

The value of this hotel is a hidden gem!! Clean, quiet, super great staff. Didn’t use the pool(s) but the kids seemed to love them.

I stayed here two times and both rooms had plumbing issues with slow draining sinks. The outdoor pool didn’t have water in it and the mini golf course needs repair work, but they still charge $20 a day amenity charge for their use. No daily maid service; yet, there is a tip envelope in the room. The toilet was dirty under the rim and smellled.

Old and dated- but a pleaseant experience. My biggest issue was with hotels. com while booking. The hotel charged a $20 per night "amenities" junk fee per night- payable at the hotel... which WAS buried down inside the fine print of the hotels. com listing- but not readily apparent when the booking was made. This is what ticks off travelers. I would encourage the listings CLEARLY state extra fees will be charged when you check-in- not simply have that disclosure buried deep within the listing where you can easily miss it.

Rather disappointing. The lodge is situated on prime property. Amazing location, amazing view. But the place has been forgotten in time. Extremely outdated, wallpaper peeling off walls, old fixtures, old everything. Very worn out. The beds were some of the worse mattresses I’ve ever slept on. My entire family was in agony each morning from them. They really need to put a lot of work into bringing the lodge into the 21st century and make beds suitable for humans. I will say for a place that allows pets, it was very clean. Didn’t smell bad or have any stains or marks at all, so that’s one thing they have going for them.

Outdoor pool not available yet, and new resort fee? Was not there when i booked room.

The property is very well maintained. You can tell the staff and maintenance really care about keeping this place in top condition. It reminds me of a national park lodge.

In years past we have stayed at Fox Ridge several times, back then the hotel was a Red Jacket property and was very well maintained and was always very nice. The hotel is no longer a Red Jacket property and the level of maintenance and attention to detail has dramatically decreased. The upside was: The hotel was clean and bright, the desk workers were friendly and efficient. The room was large enough for the 4 of use and had a mini fridge and a tub which came in handy with 2 small children. The breakfast was better than the average hotel breakfast but definitely not the grand buffet it used to be, but we were happy to have to take the kids out early in the morning. The downside was: The outdoor pool was closed and empty, the mini golf course was in disrepair with much of the green carpet torn. The front lawn where there were several lawn games was overgrown and I assume no longer used. The play area behind the hotel was very small and only consisted of a backyard sized swing set.
Overall this is a nice place to stay of you have small kids but I fear that if they don't do some serious upgrades they will be forced under by all the new hotel construction that is taking place all along the road this hotel is on.

The weather was just turning hot, the view was amazing from our room from the sitting balcony. The hotel room is fit for a short or long stay. Mini fridge and coffee maker no microwave. They have drink machines on the floor but no vending. They do have some snacks and games at front desk. Amazing breakfast every morning. A indoor swimming pool and jacuzzi it closes at 9pm a mini golf course on grounds. Close to all shopping and restaurants. Overall we really loved our stay and went back a few weeks later to stay the night same great experience in another room.

Property is a bit dated, but clean, quiet, and suited our needs. I was surprised that our room had no microwave ( I went out and bought an electric kettle for my nightly Tea). Parking lot was a short walk across the property, quite a ways from our room...I prefer closer to the bldg., but it wasn't raining, so we survived. Comfortable place for families...pool looked nice. The Continental Breakfast looked reasonable, but we have our favorite breakfast spot , so we just got coffee. We would return again.Very reasonable price.

They definitely need to upgrade some areas. Stairs are dangerous and should definitely be updated.

My daughter and I had a mother/daughter get away weekend and we had a great time. Everything was perfect, especially the snowstorm on Saturday that left 25” of snow. Will definitely be returning.

Great stay.

Area around the property was dismal but that wasn’t really the hotel's fault- at the end of winter, everything looks grim, muddy, and needing a clean-up.
Very friendly staff. Room was super clean. Fixtures needed some updating. The hotel is older and could use a bit of a facelift in hallways, doors, etc. Adequate breakfast (included), bright breakfast room. Overall, I might stay here again because of the positives and reasonable rate.
