Excellent in every respect-will be back.

The entire hotel was very warm, uncomfortably so. We opened our windows in our room but it did not help. No thermostat in the room.

Checked in online - don’t bother, it doesn’t make the arrival process any easier. Stayed in [executive) room 212, which overlooks what appears to be the a/c unit for the hotel, which seemed to turn out every few minutes all night. Had to shut the windows, but it didn’t shut out the noise. Lovely hotel apart from that, breakfast pricey.

Staff was wonderful. Car park right next to Reception. But only dining option at the hotel was in the bar. The food and service were very good. Unfortunately, on the evening we were there, we had a very loud, boisterous group of young folk in the bar. They were in a joyous mood, and we couldn’t hear ourselves think. It was a bad setting for an otherwise nice evening.

I have stayed there many times.

Fantastic hotel, beautiful location, a short walk to village and marina. Staff were extremely helpful and welcoming, room was spotless, bed very comfortable, towels soft and fluffy, cannot fault it at all. Wish we could have stayed longer. Thank you

We had a very enjoyable 3 night stay in the Grand Hotel. We ate two nights in the bar which was very nice. The only thing I’d mention is how warm the bedrooms were. As there was no climate control or A/c we had to leave our room door open to allow some cooler air in for a lot of the time as did most of the guests on our floor including our friends across the hall.
The bedrooms were however very comfortable in every other way and very clean. I would definitely visit again.

Liked everything about it and were it is situated.Don’t like pre cooked breakfast. Our first morning was just lukewarm and second morning breakfast was even colder, plate was also cold.It was also very expensive at €23 euros, definitely not worth the price. I also had to pay this as extra. I thought when I booked it, it included breakfast but that may not be your fault. I know that the majority of hotels precook their breakfast but some don’t and it makes all the difference.Room was very good and had plenty of space to move about, also very clean.Other than the complaints about breakfast we still enjoyed our stay.

Bad experience from check in. No resolution offered by staff because we booked through Expedia.

Fabulous place to stay before flying out of Dublin Airport. The staff is great, the food delicious, and the rooms spotless.

Excellent location but like other older hotels the air flow in certain areas can be limited. this is especially important during the warmer months of summer.

The location can’t be beat, for sure, but the hotel is a little past it’s prime. Needs some updating, but all in all a decent stop over.

Very nice visit!
It seems that hotel and breakfast was two different business! The communication did not work 100 percent ( my breakfast payment for the last four days was not on the list at breakfast counter desk, I payed in the reception)

Disappointed with staff

Had a lovely stay but was ruined when I accidentally left an expensive sleep aid/eye mask behind. On contacting the hotel when I got home I was told nothing was handed it. Very abrupt email. Obviously housekeeping must have found it and not handed it in. Could not have been overlooked!! Not very happy and left feeling housekeeping were not very trustworthy.

We stayed over a weekend and had a very enjoyable stay. Close to the shops, Dart station and lovely walks around the estuary. Would definitely stay here again.

A beautiful hotel within a few minutes walk to the Dart Line and into the city within 30 minutes but able to enjoy a walk on the beach first and a quiet night out of the bustle of Dublin

Great location and very nice hotel. Breakfast was not up to the hotel itself. Cold eggs tough bacon. Seemed like what was left over from previous day was put in fridge and taken out next day. Staff in restaurant was delightful.

On the past two occasions we have not had a seaview. One room looked out at a blank wall and the most recent room had a touring coach parked at the window.

It was wonderful to be so close to the waterfront, but yet have no noise from traffic and to be able to walk to the city center and the castle!

Susan and Taylor made us feel welcomed and important. Both were kind, attentive and served us beyond expectation. The breakfast was fantastic, and the location was magical. The grounds were well kept and the amenities were superb. Well done!

Our stay was lovely. The only thing the hotel misses is an area to sit outside especially in lovely weather.
The new rooms are lovely, modern but my sisters room was very dated.

We arrived at 4 pm and were told that no rooms were available at that time. Check in was 3 pm. We waited for about 30 minutes and eventually got our room(s). The rooms are terribly hot and there is no way to cool them down. No thermostat available.

Because of illness I had to cancel on Thurs 7 December and so did not check in this time.
The above assessment is based on my experience of a previous visit. Out of courtesy I let the hotel know so that the room could be sold to someone else.
I wonder if any refund is possible if the room was let to another guest?
