Very comfortable and well appointed room. Friendly staff and excellent breakfast. Dog friendly. Many deer outside the hotel and pigs wandering around the grounds. A very enjoyable weekend

Amazing location. Friendly and attentive staff. Relaxed atmosphere and beautiful surroundings. Easy access to the village and new forest. Also near Ringwood, Christchurch and several other great places to visit like Lymington, Milford on Sea etc. parking and access ideal. Facilities all perfect. Will definitely be staying again. Also recommend the drift which is part of the same hotel collection which we enjoy as it's right in the beautiful new forest. A highlight was seeing the pigs and deer up close #AMAZING

Booked two rooms for me and my mother as we were celebrating her 80th birthday the next day with an afternoon tea party in the hotel. Our rooms were at the top of a rickety flight of stairs and there is no lift. But worse than that the rooms were disgusting. I’d booked cozy doubles and one room had clearly been the site of a water leak. It smelled damp and the walls were stained and paper was hanging off the walls and ceiling. The other room was filthy with stains on the walls and cobwebs everywhere. Reception said they couldn’t do anything as the hotel was full. Let them know again in the morning and also by email and no one has got in touch so I want to warn others about this.

The views and grounds are incredible. Pet and child friendly. Amazong costumer service. Highly recommended!! We will definitely be coming back.

My friend and I had an absolutely lovely overnight stay here. I was a little apprehensive having read some previous reviews but I was pleasantly surprised! The staff are really lovely and friendly. The setting is beautiful and our room was great! We will definitely come back!

Everything was perfect apart from breakfast options. The quality of the food didn’t match the price.

The Burley Manor is in a beautiful area, the vast New Forest national park is within a few minutes walk. Theres some lovely local eateries and shops within 5 minutes walk from the front door. Everything is very clean, you can tell they have high standards for housekeeping. the staff are faultless. They are so welcoming and helpful. My only minor improvement would be that parts of it need updating, the carpets leading upstairs in the main building don’t look so good. And the fittings are a bit old (not old style-old) so if you are someone who needs modern fittings then you need to see if they have rooms with that. It may well be the case that newer rooms are different. The outdoor pool was lovely in the afternoon sun, it’s not big enough to swim lengths but it’s perfect for relaxing in after a Spa treatment!
I wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again. Thank-you Burley Manor for a wonderful weekend :)

A very nice enjoyable stay with brilliant staff all round.

Lovely hotel stay. I stayed there with my husband for the night in July 2024 and had a really lovely time. The hotel and grounds are beautiful. We could see deer running across the grounds from our bedroom window - absolutely gorgeous. We did not eat in the hotel for dinner or breakfast based on previous reviews on trip advisor.

Fabulous quirky hotel with excellent room (we had a suite) which was very nice. The hotel was excellent but we had a terrible meal on Sunday night. The roasts were obviously left over from Sunday lunch, the veg inedible. The fish was watery and also inedible. The staff did apologise but we weren't offered any reduction on the bill. Breakfast was very nice.

Loved staying here and definitely coming again

Well kept. Breakfast was nice. Beautiful ground. Good parking space. Sound insulation was not good in a period building, we could hear neighbouring guest’s snore!

It looks perfect…deer park/views from reception are beautiful. Peaceful location. However, rooms need to be cleaner, and flaky paint etc needs sorting out.
NO Wi-Fi in bedrooms, and poor connectivity within other areas.
Poor TV signal too, and lounge area smelt of dog urine !!!.
Breakfast area was relaxing and lovely views.

Everything excellent. Suggest however that the baths are fitted with wall mounted grab handles. Baths deep and difficult to get out of for the aged and not so fit

The check-in was quick and easy and very friendly. The room was clean and tidy, perfect for just myself and my dog. I loved the fact that we had a door from our room straight into a garden area

The hotel and the staff are really nice but unfortunately the experience of staying at such a nice hotel was ruined by the standard of the food. The meals and drinks were expensive (£120 for 3 courses with a glass of wine each) which would be acceptable for a hotel of this status but the meals (mainly the main course’s) were not very good at all. My dauphinoise potatoes were nothing like what I know dauphinoise potatoes to be… I’ve even googled it in case I’m ignorant of a specific dish. My partner had plaice which was so thin there was hardly any meat. We were both so hungry as our main didn’t fill us that we had the dessert as well. We don’t normally have 3 courses but just one, however we were both still so hungry, we went back to the room to eat our complimentary biscuits. I would recommend anyone staying here should just eat at one of the local pubs! Don’t waste your money on a poor standard of meal.

The Hotel and. Rooms were faultless and the staff could not be more friendly or helpful.
As someone that stays in a lot of hotels 80+ per year.
My only criticism would be the menu is quite limited and side orders are very expensive £5 for 3 small flat mushrooms and £5 for a small portion of fries.. however the rump steak I ordered was cooked to perfection and the taste was amazing.
My main issue was the breakfast charged at £17 per head.
It was disgusting, to the point of inedible, and had I not been in a rush, I would have certainly sent it back.
1 sausage that looked uncooked or had been cooked in a microwave.
1rasher of streaky bacon, again nearly cooked.
1 rasher of back bacon again only nearly cooked
1 soggy hash brown
And the smallest portion of scrambled eggs I have ever seen.
Like 1 egg small.
All in all the food was expensive even by hotel standards and the menu limited.
Would definitely stay here again, but not eat here.

Beautiful setting in a country house right in the village of Burley. Walk past green pastures, along the driveway and you are there. Sit on the front patio and watch the deer walk by, and eat right in front of you. Two comfortable lounges, and a Bar, really nice Dining Room. Full Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner menu's. Rooms were very comfortable and clean. Tea and Expresso, complimentary water and sparkling water.

Great little hotel in the New Forest.
Room was in the eaves, so styled but not high ceilings.
Lovely bed and bedding and the most helpful staff.
Fab stay for one night with friends. Will stay again.

Excellent old property, everything you’d want from an older place. Lovely gardens, variety of comfortable indoor and outdoor seating. Great bar tender, great cocktail . Topped off with a hhherd of deer wondering in the garden.

This is a lovely hotel in a beautiful location. Unfortunately the stay was ruined by a party taking place at the venue and the noise was way too loud. I have stayed at the hotel before when they have held wedding receptions and they do forewarn you when these are happening, but it was never as bad as this. It was impossible to relax in the room, let alone sleep so I decided to leave at 9pm

Great location. Bathroom smelt of damp wood. Some stains on carpet. Some Restaurant seats torn and stained Generally ok, but would expect better for the price paid.

Nice hotel, a little shabby around the edges in places but nothing serious, just an old building. Room was lovely, overlooking gardens, bathroom was great, lovely a spacious, bed was comfy and huge. Breakfast was delicious and drinks at the bar were good but expensive. Two things let it down for me, one the soundproofing between rooms was shocking, the people in the room next to us were not being overly loud but we could hear them all night. It's not the hotel's fault that they talked and laughed all night, literally all night, but it did not make for a relaxing stay. Other thing was the availability of general items at breakfast, no yoghurt, no pastries, no bread, no glasses for juice. The cooked breakfast that was ordered was delicious but sometimes you want a slice of toast too! Considering everyone is asked what time they would like to have breakfast, it was disappointing that they weren't more prepared. Otherwise it was a nice place

Beautiful old building and stunning location

Lovely stay, staff were very helpful. Beautiful hotel. Breakfast was excellent - tasty and varied. Dinner was good, albeit quite expensive. Only slight negative was that there was quite a lot of noise from a wedding party on Saturday evening, until midnight.
Would recommend and would definitely come again.

Lovely hotel in beautiful setting. Shame you have to stipulate breakfast time, fit you in when suits them. Woke up early and had to hang around. Restaurant not good lovely staff doing their best but not enough of them. Long waits for food which wasn’t good when it did arrive. Even cheese & biscuits wrong - stale crackers!

Beautiful hotel I would recommend to stay there but I stayed in room 23 and a few doves have settled on the flat roof above I was up with doves at sunrise. I did recommend the hotel staff maybe stay in the room to understand the disruption this causes to a paying guest… but got quite a blank response - highly recommend this hotel do not settle with room 23! Also book dinner we got there and there was no room for dinner.

Went to stay for a family wedding. Fabulous service from all the staff. Hotel rooms a little dated but far outweighed by wonderful catering and venue.

Burley Manor is great location for exploring New Forest. The manor is a grand old building with great views. The decor is a bit tired in rooms but the setting more than makes up for this.

It was incredibly peaceful, comfortable and welcoming

Fantastic staff, lovely venue!

A great location and beautiful grounds. The accommodation was excellent and the staff extremely friendly and helpful.
1.5
The room was spacious, if a little mixed up decor wise. Modern electrics, great coffee maker, nice bed; but Victorian wardrobe and hideous purple paint in the bathroom! The staff were very good, but the restaurant over lit and characterless. Food was good and again service was fine, but wine list didn’t make sense price wise. I knew several of the wines on offer, and some had a mark up of 2.5 times which you expect, but others had one on 4 times supermarket prices.
Nothing wrong with the place, but we would not go back.
