It was clean friendly staff and close to where we had to go , could not fault it in anyway.

We didn't check in till after 11pm but our welcome was warm and friendly, the whole hotel is really clean and the room was lovely, our beds were made up very nicely with a choice of firm or soft pillow which is great as I use both. We had a cup and mug for all 4 of us. Breakfast was open till 10:30 on a Sunday and check out at 11, so a nice lie in. The room had a really easy to controll thermostat so we could set the temperature just how we like it.
4.2
Great location, friendly staff, nice room, carpark charge always irritates me at a location like this, albeit stated, I would rather it be incorporated in room rate, however would stay again
4.2
10 on 10 from Room 301 very cosy , accessible shower etc nice and warm once you mastered the instructions for the electric wall heater, friendly staff ie Elina the manager and belil…….we had a tasty breakfast ( only negative is insanely small plates they provide but Brek is included so that’s welcome) , oh and beware the £5car park charge but it’s safe and well lit so worth the cost! Overall well happy and will deffo go back again when I am down burton way!!

Enjoyable stay - like that breakfast is included.

Very clean and comfortable hotel
4.2
Very impressed with the breakfast service for a coeliac duet thank you

This was a stopover while travelling. The hotel was easy to find, the car park was large although shared with another hotel, whilst two electric car charging bays are marked there no facilities yet and it seemed reasonably secure. The hotel was clean, bright and cheery with all the basic facilities needed, bar, restaurant and lift to a small but well equipped bedroom All in all, a moist acceptable night, thank you.
4.2
Noise was the problem here. Having in the end to move 3 times to different rooms due to faulty equipment making noise and no heating in one room. Not much fun moving rooms at 2am in the morning though. All we received was an apology.
Would I stay again. No I would not
4.2
Only disappointed because of the £5 parking charge. You have no choice in the matter. Pay or get fined which I feel is unfair.
4.2
Easy to find, lots of parking and excellent check in from lady on reception who was warm, cheerful and very informative: with an event cancelled she recommended an alternative which proved to be excellent. Room clean and a good temperature and an excellent breakfast to start the day. Thank you!

We did an overnight stop, it was perfect for us, it would have been better for us to have a room with 3 beds as the boys are bigger than me deapite being 11 & 12. The staff were feiendly and helpful and the fresh coffe was a godsend to set me up for Alton Towers and the day.
4.2
Very happy with our stay here
4.2
It was fine, nothing out of the ordinary. The bed was comfy. The only real negative was they charge £5 per day for parking which isn’t mentioned until you arrive
4.2
Not enough staff to run it properly, but a good stay for a festival run, enjoyable breakfast, easy to park, and very comfortable bed.
4.2
Great over all vibe - friendly staff all round.
4.2
Room was very very hot
4.2
Not happy about a car park charge not mentioned when booked just dont like hidden extras
4.2
The location is was great. Friendly staff again great and very helpful. But our room was very dusty, noisy ac and uncomfortable bed.
4.2
Easy and very affordable 1 night stay for business in a spacuous double room. Late check-in was a great benefit and the complimentary breakfast is a great addition.
4.2
We stayed for 2 nights for a wedding that was close to the hotel:
The staff welcomed us and couldn’t have been more helpful throughout our stay with anything we needed - nothing was a problem.
The hotel was spotless even though it was under re-development and that didn’t cause us any issues.
The breakfast that was included which was very nice- fresh and plenty of varied food options.
We would not hesitate, if we passed that way, to stay again.
4.2
Immaculately clean, fresh smelling, comfortable bedding, good quality toiletries. Yea and coffee provided
4.2
All good. The parking was limited due to some renovations going on outside but wasn’t disturbed.
4.2
There was some building works going on but no noise disturbances thank you!
The staff were great and helpful. Room was very clean. Main bed was good but the pull out bed wasn’t very comfortable unfortunately. Breakfast the next day was delicious thank you
4.2
The staff were very friendly and helpful, going above and beyond to help us.
The rooms are quite small and would definitely benefit from having a small fridge.
Although there was construction going on next door, we were not disturbed and it was quiet.
4.2
Staff at the hotel were lovely. The room was nice. For £70 a night, including an adequate breakfast you really can't complain. Breakfast items were continually replenished and the breakfast area was kept clean. Would recommend for a short stay.
4.2
The family room was not a family room. It was extremely small and very uncomfortable for 2 adults and 2 children. Also the hotel was recently built and felt unfinished, mud in the corridors , filler still in walls.
4.2
Very good links to main roads, Morrisons in walking distance and dining only a very short drive away.
4.2
The rooms were all brand spanking new! Had stayed in the Hilton the night before and the rooms here were just as nice! Lovely comfy bed and pillows, would recommend
4.2
Lovely clean hotel, friendly and helpful staff, dog friendly, nice breakfast included, great price.
4.2
Staff friendly. Place clean. Breakfast included was limited but decent. However there was no safe or fridge in the room. Bed was bizarrely very hard. Has no Aircon for cool air - summer heatwave.
4.2
Great location for travel from the north and onward access to the Birmingham area. Clean hotel with good size rooms.
4.2
We were surprised how good this hotel was.
Very clean, helpful staff, good room, enough food for breakfast.
Shame we had to pay for parking.
A nice one night stay.
4.2
Great Hotel, perfect for a few days base with a dog. Breakfast is simple, but fresh and most welcome as included in the price. Free parking is an added bonus, as is the pub next door for good value food and drinks, especially with 20% off showing your room card.
4.2
Needs air con. Far to hot
4.2
We usually enjoy holiday inn express but this one was unbearably hot, no one could sleep and no alternative was offered other than an electric fan. The air con/ comfort cool system simply did not work and we were on the 3rd floor. The breakfast was not very edible, we understand that it is an express breakfast but there was no juice only very weak squash, the coffee was undrinkable as it was so bitter and the hot food tasted horrible.
4.2
service from the night manager was excellent. he was very courteous. Also the day staff sorting the breakfast were very friendly.
4.2
It was an Excellent stay
4.2
Abysmal service throughout the whole stay and customer service was non existent!
Had of known I’d have gone to a hotel for half the price and been guaranteed better care and service.
Started with being being told room wasn’t ready when we arrived at the correct check in time… Havering to stand around and wait when 6 months pregnant isn’t very appropriate nor fair, no apology or explanation given. Then upon seeing the room which was smaller than a double bedroom at home (specifically booked a twin room due to pregnancy and was given a tiny room with two single beds pushed together) when I ask to change rooms was told no! No air con in a heat wave but a shoddy fan which I had to carry up stairs when they knew I was pregnant!
Then spend the night with staff laughing and smoking below our room window (we were first floor) and then the following morning woken up again by staff smoking and chatting below room window, not only unprofessional but inconsiderate!
Breakfast was terrible! Cheapest quality goods that was clearly been handled then returned by loads of kids that were staying at the hotel clearly seen by staff. Coffee was undrinkable … the whole experience was disgraceful and the fact we paid £220 for two nights is shocking !
4.2
Easy to get to and well placed for getting to the surrounding tourist spots. Hotel was clean and staff very friendly and helpful.
One down point - our room was not serviced on 1 of the days we stayed.
