HORRIBLE cigarette smell. SO strong!! Cigarette smell is one of my migraine triggers, so I’ve been sick since last night (stayed one night and checked out right away this morning). I can handle staying at a run down looking place, which this was, but the potent cigarettes is unacceptable.

After we were settled in our 2nd floor room, we discovered that a lamp was already broken, and one of the windows could not be closed completely (during temps of 28 - 38*F). A half-inch gap remained. Also, the dripping faucet & drain of our kitchenette was annoying for the light sleeper. . . Their cheerful maintainence people came promptly the first morning. They fixed the lamp, cracked the UPPER pane of the stuck window, and had no parts for repairing the dripping faucet. After our visit of 4 more nights, the window was still stuck (+ the upper pane cracked) and the faucet was still dripping. LESSON: Fully inspect rooms before accepting them.

There was spilled kitty litter with feces at the rear entry/exit of the property for days from guests staying at the hotel. I witnessed staff walk right by, did not clean it up. This was present for the duration of my stay (4 days). All guests needed to smell, look at, walk through this coming in and out. Unacceptable.
There was garbage, debris, and Cheez-Its underneath the armchair provided in the room. Aged, dirty, smelly.
The bed was well used/soft.
The 'breakfast' options were terrible.
I will not stay here again.

We was sick hold time mold was in our room and shower. Also the front desk wasn’t nice we told them someone left cat litter waste on the floor by the door to the rooms . Needed new towels when we got there. The ones that was in the room was already used . Nasty room had spots in the bed . Had to sleep in a towel.

It was dirty

Room was dirty. Floors were sticky, smoke detectors didn't work and had a towel over one of them. Walls need to be painted, windows have duct tape on them. Towels were dirty as well as the shower. Random stains everywhere, food and other garbage under the bed.
Overall it needs a deep cleaning.

The room smelled. The gal who checked us in wasn’t interested in working or something-she acted like we were bothering her. It took a very long time for hot water. The counters were dirty.
However-the bed was so comfortable so we slept fantastic!!

The check in employee was not welcoming at all. Getting into the elevator to go to our room we were overpowered with the smell of weed and there was trash on the floor. The hallway to our room was full of trash bags and laundry all over the floor. Our room smelled awful. The toilet was dirty, the sheets were stained, and there was a possible blood stain on a lamp shade that had the light fixture inside ripped out. The bed was so uncomfortable. There was no "grab and go" breakfast. The parking lot was full of trash as well. The worst hotel I have ever stayed at.

Hotel was at good location 10 -15 minutes away from most of the attractions like zoo, mall of America. Rooms were okay, but didn't like the furniture and also hair dryer was not working. Free breakfast was included but when we get to the reception where the breakfast was could not find much.

Although it’s nice for them to allow pets it’s not good when pets have torn up the chair in your room so you really couldn’t even sit there.. I’m sure they don’t shampoo the carpets in between guests either because the corner of the room smelled like pee. When we first got there we had zero towels and wash clothes so had to go to the front to ask for them.. the kitchen sink constantly dropped.. the bathroom fan was loud and sounded like a race car taking off.. stove and microwave dirty and outdated

Our kid got sick and exorcist spewed milk all over our bed at midnight. The night gal at the counter was quick to bring me new sheets, a bag for the gross sheets and offered to wash our clothes in the hotel washer. Being we had a flight to catch and had to leave by 330am, I used the pay washers instead. (Baby was better and slept after that, atleast some one got sleep)
The gal at check in was not so friendly and seemed she was eager to get back to her phone. The room needs updating but worked for the 6 hours we were there.

Filthy room. The bed had been made to look as if it had been changed, but the sheets were wrinkled, dirty, and had hair on them from the previous guest. The room clearly hadn’t been cleaned.

Although cheaper than some other hotels I would like the hotel to check their rooms more thoroughly when customers leave. My telephone was not connected as a previous guest had stolen the wire. The guy at the front desk says this happens often also with the TV wires. Very nice and helpful people at the counter. However, 3/4 times I needed someone at the front desk no one was there.
My shower was broken, luckily the maintenance guy was nearby and he replaced the head. However, he left the broken shower head on the counter in the kitchenette area. The cabinets are poorly designed and can get stuck if not opened correctly. The maid did not service my room between stays even though I told her she could come in. I think besides maybe some re-design of the rooms these are things they can easily fix. I hope they are fixed but if I have to get a hotel in the Twin Cities I will be looking to stay elsewhere.

The property was dirty. I had 3 rooms reserved and all 3 was dirty. They moved my mom and brother to another room and 1 of the beds was broken. The shower in my room had a hole in the wall inside the shower. the carpet in the hallways were filthy. The staff were nice.

Booked 5 hours in advance showed up 2 hours after my flight landed! Showed up in the lobby up to check in the lobby was full no chairs or anywhere to sit! Was told they could not check me in as me and the lobby full of people needed to wait for the hotel manager to come from his home and clean the rooms before we could check in! Waited 2 hours for the manager to get there! He showed up handed us sheets and said we're not cleaning the rooms you can make your own beds! WORST hotel experience EVER. PERIOD. there was also some drunk guy walking around the lobby drunk mean mugging everyone while carrying a fifth of alcohol! The hotel itself was disgusting the rooms were the wost though. Zero star -5 star

The property is pretty old and while the bathroom had been re-done the exhaust fan was very loud any time the light was on. The kitchen-ette had 2 forks & two coffee cups that did not match. Nothing else like plates or spoons etc.
The fridge worked and made ice which was helpful.
Breakfast was listed as 'included' but it was only a breakfast bar and muffin (and many days they were 'out' before the breakfast period ended.) We left at 7 AM on Sunday and no breakfast was available, so I think that should not be included on the search. I specifically searched for 'breakfast included' to make my selection.
As far as I could tell we had no room service for the four day trip. We did have all the needed items like soap and shampoo, so that was not a big deal for us, just fyi for others.

Incredibly dirty, hair clumps over the room, nail clippings on the floor, stained sheets, carpet.

I admit it--I'm spoiled by nice convention hotels.
We needed a pet friendly (options limited) place in our community for 3-4 nights while our home was out of commission for remodeling--already spending a bundle on that stuff, would rather not add excessively to the total--options limited again.
First off, booking process thru expedia is wierd, had to update app twice, re-register with different email, it was clumsy to have to make changes through the app vs directly with the desk...
OK the property...you walk in and there is ... an aroma... oh yes, Minnesota legalized weed last year. But isn't this a non smoking property? Hmm...perhaps someone didn't get the memo?
Check in at desk--staff utterly disinterested.
In the room, it was passable. TV was small by 2010s standards. Wifi was ok, easy login and free. Adequate outlets, on one side of the bed at least. Lounge chair had an old cigarette burn in it. Furniture and cabinets looked old and tired. Bed was comfy enough. 35E out the window and the bathroom fan (see below) provide a nice backdrop of white noise.
Bathroom fixtures...yuk...towel rack was bent...fan (at least there was one!) was loud and ran whenever light was on--only one switch. Soap & paper products were tiny and cheap.
Included breakfast was...stale pre-package muffins, nutrigrain bars, or instant oatmeal. The coffee was adequate to allow me to function long enough to get to a place where I could get something decent.
Final word--any port in a storm, I guess.

Front desk staff not happy to see us, made us feel like we were interrupting her phone surfing. The breakfast is pretty much non existent. They ran out at 730am though breakfast ends at 9am. The room we got was very rundown And who charges $1 for every call made, whether it connected or not?

The staff were rude. My door would not lock and they didn’t show any concern at all.

The room smelled really bad and I look under the bed and there was a moldy apple or tomato I don’t know!! I grabbed it and it was black and the floor had it indented into the floor!!! It also had about 20 wrappers from various food. When I brought it to the desk they had an attitude and just told me that they didn’t have adequate staffing. I had Expedia cancel my stay
