This is a secluded resort in the mountains. A significant amount of snow had fallen prior to our arrival making the scenery beautiful and majestic. Staff are accommodating and friendly. The main lodge overlooks the lake and offers beautiful views of the mountains. The food was well prepared and delicious. I heard that the cabins had been updated but that was not the case for the one we stayed in. Our king bed was very comfortable . The cabin was clean with a wood burning fireplace but bathroom and other areas could use a refreshing.

This property is definetly well used, chipped paint on door frames, missing grout in bathroom floors,stains on carpet in our room. The walls and connecting room door allow for alot of noise, we heard a group of guys talking next door and their fire crackling as well as a dog barking so not a place to go and get a good sleep, we heard a baby crying above us late at night and early in the monring. We went to the front desk to get earplugs and they offered to move us but it was late. We left our luggae at he front desk as they said they would deliver it but when we went to our room it was not there so had to go back to the desk and poick it up ourselves. The food and drinks along with the service was fantastic. We will visit again but definetly will not stay overnight again.

This is a magical, quiet getaway. Tucked in Yoho National Park. The rooms were very cozy with gorgeous views of the lake. The dining room in the main lodge had excellent food. I highly recommend this place if you are looking to disconnect from the online world and connect with whoever you travel here with. We also got engaged on the hike around the lake making it an extra special trip

The staff were terrible. It seemed like they were all hungover because they were partying the night before. They didn’t seem to take their job seriously or care about the hotel guests. I got married at emerald lake in 2018 and it seemed like the service went downhill a lot. The rooms also didn’t seem as nice and needed to be updated. I don’t think we will ever stay there again. Sad.

Do not eat at the restaurant. Booked a table for 6.45pm 17th September. Was sent 4 emails to make sure you turn up. So turned up 5 minutes earlier and was told water was off so no dinner come back in 30mins. So we did and was told to go off the property and get so food 37kms one way. As this is the only restaurant in the area we had to do this. In short no plan B from staff was initiated so we got back to the hotel after eating at 12am. No compensation was given the next morning. If the staff had called us before we arrived I could have made different plans for that night. So as you can imagine I was not happy with this experience. And the manager could not care less.

The cottages are dated but nice. The views of the lake are spectacular. Parking is a pain and everything is an uphill walk. It’s very expensive but the lake stay is one of a kind. Still would recommend it because of the lake.

We absolutely loved staying in a cabin at Emerald Lake Lodge. Such a quaint and serene setting! We loved walking around the lake in the evening and also at sunrise when all the day visitors had left. We also had a delicious dinner at the casual restaurant, Cilantro on the Lake.

Staying at Emerald lake lodge was a bucket list for me. The remodeled lodge area, restaurant, etc is extremely nice. The rooms however charming they are need to be remodeled. But after they remodel you won’t be able to afford to go. Location is spectacular

Very dark rooms. You can tell that buildings need to be better maintained as our balcony had peeling paint and the stopper for the bathtub was broken. Loved the quietness, tranquility, and beauty of the lake.

The property was beautiful but it was very busy and hectic. It didn’t feel relaxing . The dinner was delicious in the dining room but the waiter was overwhelmed with too many tables. Also we couldn’t park close to the hotel and had to be shuttled in which was inconvenient. I felt like everything was so hectic that no one really took care to give personal attention. Although the area was beautiful I wouldn’t return . We stayed at Lorraine lake lodge and service was ten times better and it was also very beautiful. They had many special touches that made our stay amazing . Here I felt like just a number.

The location is incredibly beautiful. The lodge itself is dated by rustically charming. The best part about staying at the lodge is being able to enjoy it at night and in the early morning before the thousands of day trippers arrive. The food options are pricey and could be better for the prices charged. The newly renovated outdoor hot tub was excellent.

Beautiful lakefront property. We stayed in Room 122 which has a beautiful unobstructed view of the lake and the mountains. The location gives it a 5 star rating. However the condition of the rooms could be better. The property is clean, but it’s way overdue for a coat of paint and basic maintenance jobs.
