The location of this place was perfect. Easy access to the freeway and plenty of food options. The service of checking in was great also.

Traveling with pets, had to pay extra for them which was no problem. The problem had to do with the lengthy pet agreement. No pet poop bags in the pet area. Wasn't allowed to leave pets unattended. So going to dinner at a local restaurant was out of the question. The room had old nasty carpet and could smell the pet urine. Had to wear my shoes in the room at all times. The bed was hard and uncomfortably. The small table was rickety. The staff must have lived on site as they were in the stairwells, hanging out on the benches outside etc. And then theres the empty lot behind the place where some strange guy had his creepy old motorhome parked. I love Fruita and know it well. Staying here to save a few bucks and to believe its rating was better than Laquinta was a terrible decision.

After four night on the road, this was the worse hotel. The room was thilthy!! See pics. Under the microwave had not been cleaned in weeks. Cobwebs in the window. The window ledge had not been cleaned for a long while. The Kleenex cover had black marks, obvious blood on it. Again not cleaned in a long while. We were late and tired when we got in. I had some wipes with me, otherwise would have left. The pipes kept us awake from our bathroom most of the night. Need I go on. Don’t know how this hotel got the 8.2 rating. Cleaning woman’s name was Sheila from the envelope she left. Did not tip as we usually do. Who is supervising the staff. Does management not do checks on rooms once in a while?

The room assigned to me appeared to have evidence of bed bugs with red stains on the mattress. I was able to obtain another room, but I spent a very restless night due to the worry that bed bugs might be rife throughout the hotel. Luckily, I didn't receive any bedbug bites.

The room was fine, check in was fine as well. The breakfast had no protein other than yogurt, but that's what we expected w/the rate. The attendant in the morning was not very attentive. We asked him to clean a table off for us, and he wiped ours, and not one other of the five dirty tables. From there, he went to unstick a waffle from the waffle iron, and just left the dirty table towel in front of the syrup dispenser. All in all, it was a great place to lay our heads down.

Primary reason we stayed here was due to the price; it was next to nothing! So based on the price, it was well worth it. With that price comes neglecting certain (minimal) things such as the bathroom fan. It sounded like it was about to explode anytime we turned it on. The worker that helped us check in that night wasn't great. They weren't terrible but it left much to be desired. Maybe smile and say "thank you, have a great stay"? Beds were ok but overall it was a great deal and value. We would stay again. Hopefully get a better checkin worker next time.

We chose to stay here because the reviews were so good. We won’t stay here again. When I opened the door I was hit with strong chemical smell that I think was supposed to be air freshener but was overpowering. It never went away. We asked to change rooms but were not able to. The carpets were stained and gross.Maybe that’s why they used so much air freshener? The beds were rock hard. The good- other than the carpet stains the room was clean. Staff was pleasant. Breakfast was standard for this type of hotel, toast, yogurt, instant oatmeal, bananas. Parking was ample.

VERY nice assistant mgr at front desk. Suggested many great places close to facility. Breakfast was nice. Pool area was clean but not very inviting. The fan was SO VERY LOUD that we could barely have a conversation. There were numerous windows with open screens so the fan was completely unnecessary. Mgr said it could not be turned off. Hot tub was cooler than the pool and you needed to request it’s use ahead of time so it had a chance to warm up.

There was a recliner in the room, but the back didnt recline. It was difficult to sleep in the bed. The room was clean but a bit outdated. Bed could have been better. Staff was great. Breakfast was good.

It was not clean in the area outside the facility. Tables and area around needed a good power washing. Our room was very clean but also very worn. The sink was cracked and looked dirty but was not. The biggest downfall was the noise. The room above us and beside was were extremely noisy and there was much crashing and thudding. Also we were right beside the door to come in or go out. The staff were very courteous and kind.

A quick one night stay. The hotel is very dated and the room could have been way cleaner. The arms on the chair were sticky from just being old and there were food or drink spots on the wall. The carpet was old and had a few pieces of fuzz on it leading me to believe it may not have been vacuumed. I always check for bed bugs and when I lifted the mattress, the mattress pad and sheet were not pulled on tightly, again leading me to question whether they had been changed. They looked and smelled clean though so we accepted it as ok as we were tired and wanted to rest. As a positive note, it was very quiet at night! East highway access and close to downtown.

It was a good place to stay while traveling. Showed up late at night and staff was there waiting, everything was good as far as getting into the room and getting some sleep. And it's right next to i-70 so it's convenient to just get back on the interstate.

Reasonably priced and a decent property. Breakfast is pretty light with just the whaffle maker, then cereal begals. Property is clean and generally good repair, but it does have some age and wear & tear with carpets, older toilets etc. Nothing bad bad, but soon time for some TLC. The value in the reasonable rates allows for some compromise in expectations. Overall however it was a great stay for 2 nights. Resturants and some sightseeing are literally steps away, and the Rimrock Dr and Colorado Monument National Park is 5mins drive up the road.
