We stayed several nights and attended a friend’s wedding which took place beachside at this resort. Beach-inspired decorated large bedroom, clean bathroom and lovely partially covered patio area with lounge chairs, dining table/chairs. All rooms were just a short walk to the beach/pool and dining areas. Perfect resort for a wedding!

The hotel is under ALOT of construction!! Blue tarp walls/fences everywhere and construction noise!! Main pool not open either. I’ve heard so much about this hotel and was really looking forward to staying..Got an email about the issues AFTER i booked!

We only had 1 night booked here before our return to the UK & it was not enough. The rooms were top class and the resort had so much to offer & not enough to to use and enjoy to the max. We will have a longer stay here in the near future.

Really nice hotel. All staff we interacted with were excellent and couldn't do enough to help make our stay enjoyable. Only negative was all the building work going on,but I'm sure that's only temporary and will make the hotel even better when finished

THIS PLACE IS VERY NICE AND ALL WAS GOOD EXCEPT FOR THE CONSTRUCTION/RENOVATION THAT IS GOING ON. HALF OF THE PLACE IS CLOSED AND THERE IS EARLY MORNING NOISE FROM RENOVATION, HAD I KNOWN I WOULD HAVE STAYED ELSEWHERE. WHEN I MADE THE RESERVATION IT DID NOT INDICATE THE CONSTRUCTION. ALSO THE PIER FOR FISHING IS CATCH AND RELEASE ONLY, JUST FOR THAT I WILL NOT GO AGAIN.

Staff was fabulous. We stay there every year for a dive trip. They have remodeled and honestly liked it better before. They took down screens on patios, so you can’t sit outside without being attacked by mosquitoes. Miss the little kitchen area, there’s also no counter space in bathroom with new sinks that sit on top. They put decorative stools and other stuff in rooms that just takes up space, nobody is going to sit on them, they are hard.

It was an amazing place with a spectacular room but half of the resort was in construction which affected the stay. Elements restaurant was great. When remodeling is done this will be a place to not miss.

The staff is the friendliest I have experienced in a long time. It made us feel pampered and we could not say enough wonderful things. From Moe greeting us at the guard gate to both people at check in to the bar tender and server at breakfast they are there to make your stay special

Wonderful place however website advertises amenities of beautiful pool and hot tub but are under construction. Resort fees are expensive and high and unfair if not usable. Also there is no microwave in the rooms making it difficult to warm up food and leftovers. We’ve never stayed at any place without a microwave in the room.

Clean and well appointed rooms. Warm and responsive staff. Currently underway with renovation in several sections, so onsite food options were somewhat limited, but breakfast was yummy, and good area restaurants abound. Beautiful setting. Will definitely return

It’s my second time here for reason. Absolutely beautiful private resort with beautiful villas. Love it here despite having rude kids jumping on the ocean raft that my daughter was on getting her phone wet with no apologies. Wish there would be a kids area where rude kids are not allowed.

Loved loved loved this hotel! I would stay again. The room was very open and beachy and the pool and beach area were beautiful. We also enjoyed the drinks we purchased from the hotel bar as well as a chicken Caesar wrap we shared.

The place was great, most staff were excellent although cleaning crew couldn’t leave coffee or clean cups even after being asked…but…the daily taxes, resort fees and some puzzling misc charges added an extra $500 to our 5 day stay.

This place was awesome and we will be returning! It was under construction (the restaurant) but they managed that well. We were in an updated room and it was lovely, spacious, and very comfortable and there were wonderful little touches in there upon checkin (snacks, beverages from a local brewery, slippers and a beach towel and bag). Super thoughtful. Beds were very comfy and AC worked well. Swim up bar would have been awesome but they offered drink and food service while hanging out in the pool so totally taken care of. Beautiful grounds. Feature request - snorkel rental or loan at sports hut would be great. Sounds like they are adding a bunch more fun stuff so GO! It's a great place.

Beautiful place. Very challenging to get pool towels. Asked for shower gel twice and never got it. Kid activities at the hut sounded great but went over and they weren't happening. Great place just things that are basic didn't get done. Very friendly staff though.

Clean room, great property and an easy walk to beach or restaurants, great staff. We had an older room and only negatives was the door seal was torn allowing bugs to enter room and shower had hair still from previous guest.

This place never disappoints. We visit the Islander every summer and we always have a pleasant experience. We are looking forward to see what the new renovations will bring to the guest. We must say that we missed the small water park for our little ones. That was always a big plus for us. Hopefully it gets replaced with a better option. The service is great, always with a smile. We had a great experience with the waitress at Elements. She was very nice and knowledgeable. The staff at The tides was great too. The only thing was that we had to call for our room to be serviced. Otherwise everything was amazing as always. Best of all is kid friendly.
