Fantastic hotel. Great attention to detail, very comfortable, staff excellent, room lovely, very good meal at restaurant.

Our room did not have air conditioning, the unit was broken and they did not have another room to accommodate us.

We enjoyed our 4 night stay at the Regina, and especially loved our time in Biarritz. I wouldn’t consider this a 5 star hotel (especially after staying at the hotel du Palais down the street) but it was a nice boutique hotel with generally friendly staff. As far as areas for improvement- the pool was quite small and our room was very basic for a “premier” room. The hotel also did not acknowledge our recent engagement we were celebrating, which all the other hotels on our trip did with enthusiasm.

Very nice hotel but expensive with limited facilities for the price

Beautiful. Nice rooms and quaint.

Had an amazing stay in this design gen. Service was great as well, very friendly.

We went with an Ocean Deluxe room and many features of room are extremely impractical or badly designed. In fact many areas of the hotel just seem to be badly designed from eating in the atrium restaurant being uncomfortable, to the pool beds having the most manual lift and the cabanas completely blocking out sun for both users.
The service was mostly fairly unwelcoming and doesn’t go above and beyond, this might be cultural but with it being a so called 5 star hotel it mostly should be better. Fairly apparent when we sat by the pool and 4.45 staff came over and told us “as a reminder the pool closes at 5pm for a private function.” This was not a reminder, it was the first we heard of it and we were there all afternoon, something like this on what was a good day in bad week for weather should have been over communicated.
Finally, the prices within the hotel are a complete over priced and whilst this is same in all hotels the Regina seems to have gone even further especially given the food quality and options are poor.
This is a 4 star hotel at best. Look forward to coming back to Biarritz but certainly not to this hotel

Absolutely fantastic location, beautiful hotel, fantastic staff.

The property is gorgeous. Whoever designed this hotel is a genius! Just beautiful. The staff is very friendly and efficient. The food and drink were delicious. We highly recommend staying here.

I booked a room overlooking the ocean and the room was nice. It would have been a nice experience if the customer service was not so terrible. It was to the point where I felt very uncomfortable. I am a widow and booked a trip with my two young daughters. I booked an upgraded room that stated it fit 3 people. When I checked in the people at the front desk wanted me to pay extra money for one of my daughters even though I showed them that the room stated it would accommodate 3 people (which I booked and paid extra for to accommodate our family of 3). They were very dismissive and rude.
The next morning I asked if I could check out an half hour late and they would not give me any extra time despite it being a Tues and the hotel being obviously empty.
Also the food was extremely overpriced for what it was. Not great or every that good.
I had stayed across the street at a 4 star hotel for a couple nights prior and the stay and customer service there was incredible. Unfortunately the “customer service” at this hotel was so bad that I felt very uncomfortable staying there and regret the booking.

The staff who met us by our car, after easily entering the lot to park, was professional and informative and even joyful. The front desk arranged our dining. The restaurant and bar were lovely. We won’t bother considering other accommodations in Biarritz in the future!

Service at Regina Experimental was excellent - the staff are extremely friendly and genuinely happy to help with any thing!

The staff are out of this world at the Regina. Truly above and beyond. We ended up dropped off on a bus stop outside of town with no directions at taxi and site. They sent a car for us without question and we’re completely helpful warm and knowledgeable for our entire stay. I had the Regina 22 years ago and never forgotten it. My family and I have fond memories of it from 2002 and could not wait to get back there. It’s now been renovated in a very cool style with flickers of the grand Budapest. hotel and still very unique, and one of a kind. you did not disappoint. I won’t wait so long to come back the next time. And a grand merci à toutes et tous.! c’était vraiment magnifique

Very stylish hotel with very comfortable beds.

Beautiful art deco building with sympathetic, classy renovation. Incredible sea views, a little out of the main town with killer hill on return which didn't detract from our enjoyment.

There was no bellboy at check in and the elevator from the parking to the lobby was not working so the 90-pound lady receptionist and yours truly had to become weight lifters. The air conditioning didn’t cool the room at all. We received a small refund at check out but that didn’t make up for our disappointment.
8.0
The positives are the staff who were all very attentive and helpful. Our room was very nice and comfortable as was the bed. The hotel is five star, it looks lovely, especially the atrium where they play music until around 10pm. It is very well presented, despite ongoing work on the upper floors and the grounds. Nobody mentioned this.
The negatives are many due to the concentration on form rather than function. These are all little things but they add up.
The cups in the rooms have no handles so you can’t touch them when hot; the cups for breakfast are very small but the staff are happy to refill; the shower has to run for a long time to reach “warm” not even hot; the bar and stools have nowhere for your feet to rest on, and they don’t have the right glasses for g&t or cocktails which, given the prices, needs correcting; the cutlery is very strange with its “patina”; the sun loungers are very comfortable but even moving the back or putting up the shade is not for the faint hearted.
It’s a 10-15 minute walk downhill into the centre or the beach. The beach was very, very busy. The walk back always seemed shorter.

The interior design of this place is horrible. Don’t expect to feel luxurious, it’s very tacky despite the beautiful architecture.
But the people are very nice.

Beautiful ocean views.
Walk into town a bit far and steep.

Great location
10.0
Our room was nice and well-appointed. The hotel puts a beach bag and two beach towels in the room, so you are ready to walk to the beach. The lobby is beautiful, with plenty of space to eat, drink, or relax. On some nights, there is music in the lobby. Biarritz is hilly, but as long as you don't mind hills, you can walk anywhere you need to go in the city. If you have a car, parking is available on-site for a small fee. The pool is nice, with plenty of seating, and a staff member periodically comes out to take your order. The staff is eager to help answer any questions.
Negatives were a very leaky shower and an in-wall, not very powerful hairdryer, although I believe you can get a better hairdryer upon request.

Nice hotel although I don’t know if it warrants the price. It’s a bit out of the way from the town but just a short 25 minutes.
There was no top sheet on the bed, just a comforter which I found a bit gross. No bed turn down at night.
Staff was really nice and helpful.

I liked everything about Hotel Regina, especially the friendly and helpful staff. The restaurant and bar are exceptional. The rooms are comfortable and immaculately clean. We had a lovely stay and would recommend Regina to anyone visiting Biarritz!

Great view of the lighthouse and the ocean from our room. Staff was very nice and professional. Location is a short walk from downtown, but it’s a nice walk by the seaside. Lunch at their restaurant was ok.

Ideally located , this beautiful hotel offers all what you might ask for. Rooms are very elegant and spacious , some with a large terrace. The staff is very helpful and friendly and the food served at the restaurant is really tasty. Unfortunately We did not have time to enjoy the gym or the spa

Wonderfully accomodating service by reception staff and lovely manner by all staff. Great location to walk to the beach and see the sunset from the lighthouse
5.0
Elegant and stylish, yet with everyone wearing masks (proving style and safety are possible together). The staff, mostly young folks, were competent, meticulous, and very nice — kudos to them, and to the boss that creates their authorizing environmeny.

Luxury motel feel, little disappointed with room, meals ok. Location 2 minutes walk to township. Asked to see the much touted pool but flatly denied because it was closed during winter.
4.0
The staff was friendly, the hotel is centrally located and the room was very clean, newly renovated and freshly appointed (and with a Nespresso machine). There is a very bad mold odor throughout the hotel but thankfully didn’t notice it in my room. It really needs to be remedied.
2.0
Receptionist at the front desk was not helpful and rude.
This should be 5 Star rated Hotel!!

Bed a little too hard. But that is our personal opinion. Lovely situation looking over the bay. Restaurant was first class. Hotel rather beautiful inside. Car parking a bit tight for a big car. The walk to the town was easy downhill. Made you puff a bit coming back.
3.0
The hotel was beautiful and located across from a gorgeous beach. The front desk staff was friendly, efficient and helpful. However, the food and beverage staff was terrible. Not friendly. Slow service. And seemingly didn’t know what they were doing. The “free breakfast” included in the price of the room ran out of eggs at 9:20. Service ended at 10:30. I asked the manager and she said we’d have them in 5 minutes. 30 minutes and 2 more proddings produced nothing so we left.Dinner was expensive and produced the same bumbling and the quality of the meal was not up to the price.

Only issue was lack of room choice after I arrived after midnight. Excellent hotel though.

Great venue and restaurant. Excellent service and friendly staff

The room was lovely but the breakfast was disappointing.

Excellent hotel in nice area. However, it is expensive and slightly inconvenient to the center (although walkable).

Wonderful! The staff was outstanding. They were friendly and helpful in providing us advice and support to discover Biarritz.

Flies swarming around buffet breakfast. Should be classed a 3 star hotel.
