Attractive hotel, not dated or faded as some manor hotels can be. We were really appreciative of the smaller details and how the historic details of the building were accentuated and not hidden.
Staff were lovely and happy to help, particularly a young gentleman who served us in the restaurant.
Excellent, well priced meal and I can absolutely recommend the truffle risotto - divine.
My only negative comment would be that the restaurant appears to be trying to be overly formal. It was very hushed even thought it was nearly full, there wasn’t much of an atmosphere, we felt we had to be quiet.

Great hotel with good gym and pool.
Only thing that lets it down is the limited food menu. Way too fancy even in the bar.

We had a lovely stay, that staff were very stretched and the business needs to think about adding additional staff as they came across rude. Overall, we had a lovely stay despite this.

We upgraded to stay in the main building as we wanted to use the spa facilities, the outer building rooms would have meant going outside which was not ideal. We had a lovely stay, the only disappointment was the speed of service in the restaurant, we waited a long time for the food to be served. But on saying that the food was good. we decided to eat in the bar area on the 2nd night and the food arrived very quickly. This is our 2nd trip to this hotel and we would return again. the Location to Stratford is excellent and beautiful setting. Each time the weather has not be good, so the spa facilities were ideal.

Wonderful stay. Beautiful hotel with lovely rooms we stayed in the manor double which was gorgeous and a very good size. Slightly limited breakfast options given the price. Spa is lovely, however we went during half term and had to wait about an hour to get in as it got quite busy. Otherwise nice spa facilities, great gym and stunning grounds. Very accessible to Stratford upon Avon city centre and a nice a quiet place away.

Business Trip but will revisit with the wife and the little poodle as the hotel and surrounding area is stunning.

Beautiful hotel and location. Such a relaxing atmosphere with beautiful gardens. The service was impeccable from all staff involved, nothing was too much trouble. Already planning our return trip.

I was particularly pleased with this choice of hotel for my overnight stay. The only problem was one of noise created by inconsiderate residents who could not - or would not - control their barking dogs.
However, after reporting the matter to Reception at night, it was dealt with effectively by the member of staff on duty. Unfortunately, the barking started again 06.30 - 07.00 but not in the continuous way of the day before.
I would just suggest that the hotels warns dog-owners of their responsibilities when booking and I would commend the Receptionist for his effective action.

Excellent customer service - organising a dog-friendly room. Dog enjoyed the treats. Lovely atmosphere in the bar in the evening. Very comfortable room - exceptionally clean and a good size. Fluffy white towels provided. Plenty of car parking. Would have been nice to have had a coffee machine in the room, real fruit juice at breakfast and hot coffee at breakfast (it was rather luke warm). That said, breakfast was very good. The grounds were beautiful and we thoroughly enjoyed a walk from the hotel premises. Bar prices were reasonable and room recommendations about what to do and the history of the manor, we enjoyed reading. Stunning hotel with small things to correct.

What a WONDERFUL stay. I will be back. I would love to come back for Christmas. Fantastic experience from staff to the room. Lucked out on my room. Super quiet with 2 windows. Utilized the spa, sauna, and massage, which was nice after spending the day walking around Stratford Upon Avon. Easy to find, plenty of parking, and nice little walking paths. Food was delicious! 20 our of 10.

Two night stay in a junior suite, we loved the room. Very well equipped and had Molton Brown toiletries in the bathroom. Spa was excellent, great treatments (quite expensive) lovely compact gym and pool. Just missing a jacuzzi! Had drinks and lunch in the bar/lounge was fine, good service from the bar man. Delicious breakfast with lots of choice and served till 1030am.Over all a great stay , great friendly staff a special mention to Edward the front of house porter/reception guy. A few minor details overlooked , no coffee or toilet restocked for the second day in room. Rock salt on the tables which is impossible to grind between fingers , no pepper. When I asked for S&P I was told this was it?! Strange, would definitely return and recommend. Hopefully my comments will help improve the finer details

What a beautiful, beautiful hotel - in every sense. They have done a great job of keeping all the original features but it still feels clean and in great condition. Great service, fab food. Its just so lovely in every way - I recommend you see it for yourself!

Hotel lovely and staff good and friendly.
Our room which i upgraded to was looking a bit tired, lovely big room. But wallpaper coming away near headboard bed & marks on wall. Bathroom flooring tiles grout black in places. Breakfast on first morning chaotic ! 2nd morning much improved, although buffet style. Food at other times was superb.

Beautiful historic building with an abundance of character and charm. Looked a little tired in parts. We stayed in a feature room with four poster bed. We arrived later than planned at 23:20, although we had made the staff aware of this at the time of booking and on the day of arrival - whilst being shown to the room, my husband asked the barman (we had to pass the bar on route to the bedroom) if he could order a drink and the barman informed him that the bar had just closed! The bathroom was spacious although there were cobwebs around the window furnishings. It can happen in and old property, however, we also found a suit carrier in the wardrobe which had been left by a previous guest. There is a lot to like about the hotel and the lovely setting, however, the breakfast really does let this hotel down. The overall standard of catering was inadequate. The hot food wasn't hot and looked unappealing. Sadly, we failed to enjoy the 'dining indulgence' the hotel claims to offer. Little details such as pepper pots were nowhere to be seen. When we asked for pepper, the pot brought to us was empty. We then had to take this to the server and ask for another one. Odd cups that didn't match! General attention to detail, lack of visible leadership and disappointing breakfast - we brought this to the attention of the Reception staff upon check-out and then followed up with an email complaint and telephone call....no response to date, hence this review.

Beautiful hotel, great breakfast. Only small issue, it took an awfully long time to get served in the bar!
I stayed in the barn, room was large and had a wonderful shower

Near Stratford and very pleasant setting with helpful staff.

Great 2 night stay. Easy check in, but once we entered our room we here a continuous humming which we felt was being caused by the spa/pool machinery. However, the reception had no hesitation in moving us to a quieter room. The issue was very well handled without delay. Restaurant and other facilities were great, would certainly return for another stay.

Lovely setting, let down by limited menu in restaurant which was over priced, spa being fully booked all weekend. Barking dog that was left alone in room for 90 minutes on Saturday night. Reception staff on arrival helpful and polite however on entering and leaving the manor house I would have expected some sort of acknowledgement by the gentleman on reception ie good morning, good evening even a smile

A beautiful building with well-kept,pretty grounds. It should however be made clearer that there is no lift and no offer is made to help with luggage. Room 4 was lovely if lacking in touches (particularly soft furnishings) to lift the dark-panelled room and the unadorned wooden four poster. Nothing to put a suitcase on to access its contents was an irritation. The room seemed generally clean but there was confetti all-too-visible under the bed. The hotel seemed short-staffed: the one person at the bar was often absent serving drinks in the dining room, and fish and chip plates served in the bar on Friday night were still there at 11 the next day. A small group of post-Cheltenham guests sung their hearts out in the bar until late, without staff intervention, disturbing both other bar patrons and those trying to sleep. Dinner was generally good but expensive: the £30 credit when booking half board will not buy even a non-vegetarian main course - unless you want it without potatoes or vegetables. Our main disappointment was the pannacotta desert which show no signs of panna (cream) or being cotta (cooked). It was milk set with gelatine and was tasteless and an unpleasant texture like the worst school blancmange. Our complaint was not addressed - save that we were left entirely without service thereafter and not offered coffee - and we eventually just asked for the bill. Could be lovely, but could do better, especially for a one-night stay costing approx £450 for two people.

Spent 5 nights with my partner, we enjoyed our stay and booked one of the junior suites which was comfortable. The building is old and as expected maintenance is required however the grounds are stunning. The staff are very friendly and helpful throughout the hotel.
We used the spa facilities which were good and treated ourselves to the treatments which we thoroughly enjoyed.

Absolutely beautiful building with decor to match. We were in room one in the Main House which was huge & had a bathroom to match, but was straight over the front door which meant we heard all the comings & goings, we also had very noisy guests above us who seemed to be awake all night. The room was very hot & we did turn the radiator down, but the windows had restrictors so we could open far enough to get some air through.
Pillows were very annoying as one was too low but two were too high so overall a very poor nights sleep. Would have expected a better shower as well, not very good water pressure.
Bar was a stunning panelled room, & the staff worked incredibly hard, but drinks were ridiculously expensive & the bar menu was limited
Breakfast was buffet style, but excellent.
Enjoyed the spa, but overall not good vfm, we will not be going back
Overall not good v

I went to Billesley with a group of girlfriends for a weekend catch up. A stunning venue with lots of areas to hang out including a swimming pool, steam room and sauna and a lounge, bar, restaurant and library. The food in the restaurant was delicious. The rooms were modern and spacious. Would 100% recommend

Was on a business trip to the area and spent a lovely evening in this beautiful hotel. Great history and location. Excellent service from very friendly staff. Pool wasn't available when I visited but given a credit to use in the bar which was welcome. Only slight criticism is that the bar menu was pretty limited in the evening

In our room we found a dirty sock covered in literally coats of filthy grey dust , my bed side table top had a sticky fruit drink ( the presumably) circle in it. Waiting to be served a drink or meal took literally forever and I had a large black hair on a buffet breakfast fried egg in case I was still hungry .. the breakfast plates were all gone so we asked for some and the lady brought them holding with a towel .. she needed to because they were literally dangerously hot .. I actually burnt my fingers and dropped the plate .. she then said oh yeas , they’re red hot , you need to hold them with a cloth …pretty awful all around to ge honest .. we’re VERY unhappy and will never stay again … we will advice others in our circle not to as well to save them from our experience…

A beautiful Manor house which could be so much better! The cold weather seemed to catch out the staff. most rooms were very cold, meals in the evening were served cold and aside from one or two areas next to log fires the social areas of the house were all freezing. After complaining, the staff did provide discounts/refunds but it is such a shame for what is a fantastic manor house, we will not be in a hurry to return.

We stayed in one of the Manor rooms which was superb, king size bed and modern bathroom all the facilities you need, kettle, coffee, iron etc - great views over the gardens and fountain, the gargens were lovely with shaped trees/hedges. The staff were attentive during our stay and nothing was too much trouble, highly recommended and the real test is would I go back again? Yes definitely - well done LeighAnn on reception and to the bar and restaurant staff.
