It’s with regret I give this hotel a 2 star review but I feel it is fair and balanced for this hotel in its current state.
Cons:
First impressions count for a lot. My wife and I had let the hotel know in advance we were celebrating our honeymoon having just married in France. The hotel confirmed they would organise something special for us. However nothing was arranged at all which felt anticlimactic and disappointing. However i haven’t let this tarnish the rest of the review as this may have been a simple mistake.
There are also no umbrellas for guests to use, even to simply move luggage into the car park.
The spa area is nice, but the hot tub was out of service for the duration of our stay. Our shower didn’t drain quickly so each shower I ended standing in still water. In addition the bathroom mirrors steam up easily due to poor extractors. Finally our service at reception wasn’t good. On check in we were told breakfast was extra which we had to challenge as we’d got breakfast included with our booking. Then on checkout we were presented a bill that included the nightly rate which we’d already paid, correcting this took 10 minutes. A few of these points standalone probably wouldn’t warrant a negative review but together it added up to be too much for a 5 star establishment.
Pros:
Excellent breakfast and good wait staff who couldn’t be faulted. The rooms are pleasant and modern with good air conditioning systems. Pleasant luggage porters. Beautiful setting. Very clean and at

The bellboy was really wonderful, he made us feel like a palace resort, he taking care of us and our luggage and we only stopped for 15 minutes because the room wasn’t ready, but when we came back later at night everything was ready in the room

Only 3 minute from Charle De Gauls airport, in the middle of a forest . The hotel is beautiful both outside and inside. Very nice staff, great bar and restaurant. Breakfast Buffet was excellent. Great gym, pool and overall amenities.

Beautiful building and high quality service.
The only thing I disliked is inconvenient transport.

We paid for a mid-grade room. It had some character in decor and was nicely appointed. We thought that charging for K-cups was a lot to ask, however. The staff is extremely friendly, kind, and go above and beyond to provide the best for their guests. The grounds are gorgeous!

Beautiful property in a quiet rural area. Nice amenities and very clean rooms. On the hotel information it says 120 Euro for round trip airport shuttle which they didn't honour it, cost 150 Euro. Restaurant menu selection a little small but the food and wine were very good. Service lacked for a 5 star

The hotel is very clean and comfortable but the spa area is a bit disappointing. The Swimming pool is very small. Also it is important to book massage ahead of time, as they don't seem to have that many slots available. The restaurants are very good

Beautiful site. Must make a dinner reservation before you arrive as there was no room in the outside casual dining when we arrived.

Honestly I was prepared for the chateau to be charming but perhaps tired. I was pleasantly surprised to find a recently remodeled hotel that was clean and modern in a charming chateau. We were greeted warmly and all the staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were very comfortable in every detail. One of our party mentioned a lack of USB outlets in the room, but that is not a complaint. We will plan to return and the location near the airport is ideal for late morning or afternoon flights.

Beautiful, small hotel is scenic setting. Wonderful staff. Unfortunately, often used for business conferences and meetings, which preempted our use of the dining room for diner. The bar menu was generous and delicious, however. The pool is indoors and small, the hot tub's heater was turned off. But the spa staff was exceptional.

Very lovely but very removed from and town to walk to. Great if you have a car.

Nice experience to stay in an old castle in an area close to downtown

The area of Chantilly is very beautiful and on arrival the hotel is a massive chateau, the overall feeling is the hotel is a little tired and need some extra tlc. We stayed in a upgraded room - the challenges are no update plug sockets, no coffee machine it was powdered instant coffe - 5* that’s a huge no. Faculties is the room, no extra cushions, toiletries were nice, the restaurant experience was okay although wrong order delivered and we asked for a table at 8pm and told no want available yet the restaurant was empty? The pool and spa was tired and also the pool wasn’t clean. Overall glad we went and saw this part of France although overall wouldn’t go back unless it had a refurb

The hotel is situated in a very lush secluded side of Paris. It’s the ultimate getaway to relax and enjoy nature!

As a wheelchair user I pre booked the Disabled Access room at the hotel. The room is large and very nicely furnished. Sadly, like so many hotels, the management deem it necessary to locate the wheelchair room near to some noisy extractors (The pool I think). The bathroom is of a good size but does not have a shower wall mounted seat and suitable hand rails. A basic necessity for a accessible room. I thus requested a plastic chair for use. A stool was thereafter supplied which was too small, thus I was forced to use my own wheelchair whilst in the shower, far from perfect. Otherwise the room was very impressive. The hotel has parking at differing heights and does not provide a dedicated disabled parking bay. We were lucky and managed to park at the ideal point. A dedicated bay should be considered by the hotel. Overall an impressive hotel.

The hotel rooms were incredible along with all facilities. The food in both the terrace and formal restaurant was awesome. Great choice of wine in both locations. The team at the hotel are very attentive, however providing you enough space not to feel rushed about. The train to paris was very easy, however the taxi ride booked by the hotel was not cheap (20 euros for a 5 minute drive). Highly recommend and we plan to stay again.

Horrible experience. This hotel should never have been rated as 5 stars and touted by Expedia.
Reasons:
The air conditioning was permanently fixed at a low of 22 degrees centigrade despite a call to the front desk.who said she could do nothing about it. I had to sleep on top of the covers and still sweated..
We wanted to go into a close village, Chantilly(10 miles away), and was told there was no hotel shuttle despite references to a shuttle by the hotel literature. The receptionist said the only way to get to Chantilly was for the hotel to call and independent Mercedes car and driver who would take us there for 50 euros. We ask about a taxi and she said she could not order us a taxi because the hotel had an exclusive contract with the car and driver service. I asked if there was any other way to get to Chantilly and she said try Uber. Uber does not operate in the area of France and she knew it. We rode to town in the Mercedes and paid the 50 euros. Coming back from Chantilly, we used a taxi which only cost 30 euros.
In preparation for checkout and transportation to the airport via hotel shuttle, we were told again there was no shuttle. We would have to take the Mercedes vehicle for 90 euros. We made arrangements for Mercedes pickup for the next morning and the Mercedes and driver were 25 minutes late.
Expedia missed the ball on this hotel.

My family (husband, myself, 13 year old son) recently had an unexpected stay here. We traveled to Paris for the day from London on the Eurostar. When we arrived at the rail station that evening to return to London, we discovered that all service had been cancelled and they couldn't rebook us for 3 days. We had to get back to London, so we made plane reservations for the next morning. We weren't the only ones to do this, and all the hotels near the airport were booked. The closest available was this hotel. We booked, and arrived around 11pm. The front desk staff were exceedingly courteous and sympathetic about our plight. As this was a day trip, we had no belongings at all. They gave us all toiletries. Expedia had told us that the room we booked (the Royal King) could sleep 2 adults and a child, but this seemed to take the staff off-guard. They had to spend a few minutes finding a cot to bring into the room, all the while apologizing profusely. Our flight out the next morning was at 6:20, so they arranged for a taxi at 4am and gave us a wake up call at 3am. When we arrived down at the lobby, they gave us each a glass of orange juice. All in all, we were at the hotel for 4.5 hrs, and never saw it in the light. I wish we had. The photos are amazing. Later, I wrote to the hotel telling them about our experience and how wonderful the staff had been, and they gave us a partial refund due to the circumstances. Truly wonderful service.

The room was big and super nice.it was quiet and relaxing for us, especially after a 9 country backpacking trip. Pricey but well worth the splurge. The food was a little subpar.

Lovely hotel! It was worth the price for a romantic weekend away for my wedding anniversary. the staff were all very helpful and friendly and spoke English (which was useful as I don't speak much French). The grounds were beautiful to walk around. The leisure facilities were enjoyable. And, breakfast was a wonderful experience - the works and plenty of time to enjoy it all!

The hotel is really good and the staff is very courteous. They take care of all your needs and are very polite. Pros: 1. Free breakfast buffet. The breakfast was extremely delicious. Eat as much as you want, but get there early. The breakfast bar closes @ 10:00. You can ask your server for an omellette and he'll gladly make you one! I found that a really nice touch. 2. Indoor pool if you want to swim. 3. Free stuff in the fridge - replenished daily. 4. Free car park. Cons: 1. Really far from downtown Paris. So, if you are looking for a place to stay and also visit all the sites in Paris, you'd need to rent a car. Hiring a taxi is not recommended as it can get really expensive - really fast. The cars are small (compared to US standards), but the steering is on the left side and you drive on the right side of the road (just like here in the states). However please note that the French are not as strict when it comes to lane discipline. You'd also have a tough time navigating the round-abouts. 2. Do not order dinner here. The food was mediocre, but pricey! Also, since you're in the middle of nowhere, you're out of luck. There is a middle eastern restaurant in downtown 'Le Chappelle en Serval' which is the village in which this hotel is located. The food here was better and cheaper than the hotel food.

Every thing that a 4 star hotel should have. Several small business seminars on premis.
