The beds were rock hard and the pillows flat. Shower had not been well cleaned and it was probably the loudest hotel I’ve stayed in. The staff at the front desk were fine, nothing spectacular and not overly friendly.

This is a place that is “feel good” to arrive at. Nice welcome, (limited) covered free parking during a snowstorm, great lobby and social area with a Lodge feel, great value rooms, even if the bathroom was a bit cramped and a decent breakfast.

Basic room, no frills expected, but the room had a perfume odor that was absolutely horrible. If we had to stay another night it would have been awful. The smell alone is enough to not ever want to go back.

The rooms are fine. What you would expect at a best western. At night, you could hear every footstep in the rooms above you. Breakfast was very mediocre. We only needed somewhere to crash for one night so it did the trick.

We love the location and comfort of this hotel and have stayed before. This trip however, the tv did not work, the hot water in the shower made a terrible noise (not just ours, we heard it for over half an hour at six am as our neighbors used the shower), and a very loud women who insisted on keeping the door to the hot tub area open so she could have loud conversation with people outside and inside using the hot tub and refused to shut it when security told her.

Great breakfast bar. Close to a lot of great hiking and Mount Hood and Timberline Lodge. The mattress and the pillows were terribly uncomfortable. The shower head was just a rain shower from the top. Not good. The worst part was with water temperature at the shower. Only luke warm.

Clean, nice staff and did a great/ excellent job with the complimentary breakfast.
Thank you, will be back.

Was an average best western. They did not make up our room during the stay. Bathroom tub faucet was loose. Not a bad place but don’t expect much.

Everything was great. Big breakfast and comfy beds.

Good location for visiting Mt hood. They have breakfast but I slept in. Hot tub could be hotter. It was a last minute stay while backpacking and definitely worth it.

The parking garage was a stress reliever when the hail storm was predicted.

Loved the view out the window, which opened to allow in fresh air. My son liked the breakfast 👍

I enjoyed my stay and we booked because it had free breakfast which was convenient, but unfortunately they run out of everything and there is only one person managing the food. It took them 30 minutes to get more eggs and sausage and basically everything when asked. I felt bad for the guy working this area!
Free parking was also included, but they don’t have enough parking spaces for the number of rooms, they asked we parallel park on the street that connect to the neighbor restaurant….
I wouldn’t go back. The staff was okay, maybe more smiles and communication would have changed this review.

This property is older and has a lot of wear. The location is good but not easy to walk to the center of town.

Great location and nice big rooms. Front desk was not real friendly when we checked in, but the breakfast staff was great.

We needed a room for a night during our road trip through Oregon and this was in the perfect location near our next destination in Mt. Hood.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Mini fridge in our room was pretty loud and whiny, making it hard to sleep. Serving area for breakfast was also quite dirty, covered in food from messy guests. Surrounding area is gorgeous, lots of beautiful places to hike and swim. Beware the restaurants nearby. The food is ok but prices are very expensive.

The room was very clean and nice. The bed was comfortable. Check-in was a breeze. Convenient parking was easy to find. The breakfast had many wonderful options. I would definitely be there again if I am in the area.

The property is very well kept as far as surroundings and the lobby has some food items and beverages available 24/7. One thing I wish they would keep refilled was the water dispenser. Another thing to note is that the walls between rooms are fairly thin so I could hear my neighbors very clearly. Other than that, it's a good location to mount Hood and the rooms are nice and large.

If you're a sport nut this area is for you but when you’re interested in sightseeing stay elsewhere. We shortened our stay and Portland was a great option even Hood River. The staff was not helpful upon arriving with sharing little to no tips. The morning staff was better. Walk up the hill to the ski village and wow, talk about other side of the tracks! Breakfast was doable but glad we opted for Portland.

I could go on for awhile about how nice this place was. It had a hot tub, it had a quite good free breakfast, comfortable beds and all the modern electric charging options the modern traveler needs. Right at Government camp and I highly recommend it.

Very pleased with out stay. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful, room was clean and quiet, and breakfast was more than I expected. We also spent two nights at the Timberline Lodge, and if I had to do it over, would have spent those nights at the Best Western: bigger, better room for half the price! I highly recommend the Best Western in Govt. Camp.

We stayed here for 2 nights while exploring Mt. Hood. Conveniently located. Lobby offered free coffee and snacks 24-7. Would definitely stay there again.

Great hotel, close to a small village. WiFi was useless in the rooms but ok in reception area.

I recently stayed at this hotel and had a rather unpleasant experience. Firstly, the beds were incredibly uncomfortable—like sleeping on a sheet of wood with just a thin layer of foam on top. Despite putting a "Do Not Disturb" sign on my door, someone entered my room and made the bed. This disregard for privacy made me feel uneasy, as I couldn't shake the feeling that my belongings may have been tampered with.
To add to the discomfort, I had to deal with a large carpenter ant in the bathroom, which was quite off-putting. The worst part of my stay, however, was waking up to find a tick on my body. This was not only alarming but also a serious health concern.
Overall, my stay was far from satisfactory due to these issues. The lack of comfort and the invasion of privacy, coupled with the cleanliness concerns, made it an experience I would not want to repeat.
I had friends that stayed a few minutes up the road at Timberline Lodge. I went there during my stay and found the beds to be far more comfortable. I regret not spending the extra money to stay there instead of this place.
