Our room towel rack came off the wall. Room was noisy. Main restaurant food was excellent. Grounds were clean.

Great location to Big Bend National Park, especially for how rural the area is with not a lot of hotel options. The bed was very comfortable and the room was spacious. The room needed a good deep clean and some TLC, but would stay here again for the location.

The property is surrounded by mountains, it’s so beautiful!!! It had everything that I would need, from beautiful surroundings, pool, laundry facilities, & more. You feel like you’ve gone back to a time in the old west. I would highly recommend going to the resort.

The grounds are beautiful! I would suggest going in the summer months. It’s extremely hot. I’m sure September or October would be perfect!

We had an amazing stay at the resort. Everyone was nice and friendly. The golf course was beautiful. Will definitely be returning.

We loved the property. The only issue we had was the air conditioning unit in our room was extremely loud and woke us up every time it came on and went off. We stayed in the main hotel building.

No electricity for about 8 hours.
Beds are not comfy, not sure if the bed frame is broken or the mattress are really bad.

Pretty grounds. Clean. Pretty room (we stayed across the street from the Badlands check-in building). Comfortable bed.
There were still a few steps up to our first floor room. The sidewalks are like stepping stones with missing pieces, and very uneven, raised mortar between them, so could be a tripping hazard. The sink is right in the room, so easy to disturb a sleeping partner. The bed is very high (I'm 5'5"), so had to use a step to get up into it. No microwave. High prices for food (but you are kind of in the boonies). If you book through Expedia, like we did, the address showed Terlingua, but it's really Lajitas. GPS took us to the wrong place. Also, Expedia didn't describe that the second floor rooms, with no elevator access, really meant a very tall, steep, narrow staircase. They have a porter that they say will schlep your luggage for you, but just even walking up and down those stairs would have been scary. We chose to upgrade to a ground floor room.

Luxurious for being secluded. Although we did lose power the first night due to a county power outage. The hotel moved us to a room with an outside door so we can get a little crosswind. They also were kind enough to refund one night. My only concern was that we were never able to talk to the manager. The counter was always trying to the them with no luck. Put I praise the staff for their executive decisions

Comfortable bed, nice room, great shower. Close to eating places. Wish I had known it was upstairs with no elevator beforehand, but otherwise we enjoyed our stay during a very non-peak time.

The property has a Confederate soldier prominently displayed in the middle of the property so be forewarned. The room doors had cob webs on the outside and they weren’t fresh webs. The property has stone pathways throughout but the stone is worn out so it makes for dangerous walking. It’s a beautiful oasis for a preopety but they were tearing down part of the hotel so it was loud very early in the day. I wish I had been warned prior to arriving to make alternative accommodations. Call ahead to find out if they are doing construction.

Billing is not to the standard it needs to be. They tried to over charge me for the reservation and again when we checked out.

Such a beautiful property with several food options all walkable on site. We enjoy this place so much as a family.

This resort was incredible! The property itself was GORGEOUS, and very well managed. The room was very clean and the property was an absolute dream. The views were breathtaking, and the activities on the property were great as well! Not only was the room amazing, but the staff was all so kind and hospitable to us during our short stay, which makes all the difference. They were very accommodating and personable to us! We even had the opportunity to do the five stand clay shooting which was definitely worthwhile if you have the chance to do so! I have no complaints, and hope to visit again in the future!! I’d wholeheartedly recommend staying at Lajitas.

This is a wonderful resort. We stayed in the Cavalry Post. The room was big and rustic. It for right in with the Southwest motif. The staff was friendly and responsive. The restaurant was excellent. The food was very good and the waitstaff was friendly and helpful. When we come to Big Bend next time, this is the place for us.

If you are looking at a place near big bend I can’t recommend this place more. Had anything you could really need on site which was convenient because there isn’t exactly a grocery store close by. The staff was friendly and the grounds were very well kept. Would absolutely stay here again if I am ever in the area.

This resort is absolutely amazing! I have played a lot of great golf courses and Black Jack’s is my favorite. Just an Oasis in the middle of desert. If you stay at Lajitas golf resort you will want to come back! Friendly and welcoming staff. Thanks for a great experience.

Lajitas golf resort has beautiful grounds and an excellent golf course. Mind you the price is a little steep for the rooms and the golf and amenities. The rooms were ok. Beds a little too soft . Felt like I was sinking . However, it's a nice facility and Big Bend and Terlingua are very close. The pool was refreshing. The sunset horseback ride was very enjoyable and overall had a very nice time.

Best golf of my life

The hotel staff did not give me the type of room location I needed. My wife and I are both handicapped and the clerk gave us the most dangerous and hardest to get to room. The sidewalks getting there were worse than a sand path.
I ended up falling down and scraping both elbows and hitting my head on a large rock. Then they changed our room to a better location.
