Extremely kind and they were the best on setting up our tours and transportation

Lanterna Marco Polo was situated in a central location, easy access to every thing. Room had air conditioning and a private bathroom. Would recommend!

It’s a great hotel in the City. When we checked in we were greeted by a very nice man (Michael I believe) who gave us suggestions on where to eat, and visit. The room was clean and relaxing. There is a little sitting area on the roof which has a nice breeze. We enjoyed that we were right in an active area of Venice. There is a great little coffee shop to the right of the entrance door. The room we had was on the 5th floor, and there is no elevator, but great views of the city. We loved our time there and would stay again.

Hotel is a historic building so it was old but the room is updated. The wifi in the room was very weak, I think that's the only down side on this property. Other than that it is a great hotel.

Michael was very helpful. He provided information on how to go around and good restaurants. Lanterna is very easy to find close to Rialto and the Vaporreti.
It was a memorable stay.
There was no lift so prepare to carry your luggages and go up and down the stairs.
It was a memorable stay.

The location was great. Friendly service at the front desk.
Several issues wrong with the room. The refrigerator in the room didn’t work, the toilet seat was not properly secured to the toilet and kept moving.
Pinching hazard.
The carpet was old, spotted and very disgusting. The shower was filthy and didn’t seem to be cleaned in a long time. Dirt stains on tiles including mold in the bottom tiles. There was never a mention of endless steep stairs up to our room!! When the issues were reported, there was nothing corrected. The price for our room was way over priced!! Low end Hotel!! Not fit for dog and we will definitely not recommend this hotel to anyone!!

We enjoyed our stay at Lanterna di Marco Polo. It was initially a bit confusing as there was no check-in staff for our arrival around 6pm. However, we did receive an email with instructions to help us get access into the building. The staff member the next morning was very helpful & kind—thank you! Room bedding & decor is quite outdated, but the room was clean & the air conditioning was great. There are no elevators, so if I were staying here again I would request a room in a lower level especially if one is traveling with heavy luggage &/or has a hard time with stairs in general. It’s conveniently located within a 3-4 minute walk to water transportation. Everything is fairly walkable in Venice, and we found excellent restaurants & shopping within minutes of the hotel.

It’s old but ok and in a good spot.

Office is only open until 1:00 pm but I was sent several messages from Anna on how to get in the property which was straight forward and easy. Michael and Anna were extremely helpful throughout our stay and the hotel is on the Centre of Rialto which was walking distance to everything. The Rialto bridge is a 5 minute walk. Great location and super helpful staff.

I booked a room last minute for one night. The location was very convenient. The front desk staff was lovely and very welcoming. The room had a historic look/feel but was comfortable, private and nice. The bathroom looked like it had been recently renovated - very nice. I would stay here again!

Anna was great! She communicated with us the whole time and was very accommodating to our timeframe and requests. The room was great as well! Windows for fresh air, coffee and tea options, extra pillows. Literally a minutes time to a main transportation area. Close to great shopping, and great food options! Highly recommend

Fotos and description not matching the reality. Dirty and filthy. Carpet disgusting stains. Door to the room was marked as „Privat“?? Bathroom not in the room but on the floor - extremely small. No tables in the breakfast room. Coffee machine was marked with „out of order“. Reception was never occupied therefore a personal complaint was not possible. The most horrible experience with a Hotels.com booking! I expect a full refund. Remove this hotel from your website and app!

We stayed here for 4 nights. The location was perfect, staff was friendly and the room was cleaned everyday. I really liked the decor, the air conditioning worked perfectly and there’s a fan. Only complain is we stayed at the top of the building so there were many steps however we really enjoyed our stay here.

Really charming hotel in the centre of Venice, easy to go anywhere for anything, Rialto 3 minutes walk and San Marco 6.

Great place to stay. Perfect location and very nice room.

The hotel is very old fashioned, and seems to be a traditional Venice hotel experience. However, it was very very basic, not very comfortable, shower and toilet facilities weren’t great and importantly there was no lift so had to walk a windy creepy staircase with all our luggage. The breakfast is also just a croissant and a drink. Another key issue we had was that one of our guests was bitten by a bed bug. We spent most of our time in Venice trying to stay out and just used it as a place to rest our heads. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful, but the hotel is something I wouldn’t recommend.

Very friendly staff. Anna (the receptionist) was extremely kind. Very reasonable price compare to the rest of hotels in venice.

The front desk person was very nice and friendly. The kettle made the water taste nasty:(

Great location and Anna was terrific. I’ve already recommended Lanterns MP to many friends!

Hotel was easy access to Grand Canal 2 min walk. St Marks Square 5 min walk. Very impressed with service from Anna at Front Desk. Without Anna’s help I would have never found my way around Venice.

We left a day early. We booked this place due to aircondition and location. However when we got there the AC did not work even tho it was stated in the welcome letter that cooling is avaiable from april and forward. It is also advertised on hotels.com. We visited in the end april. We contacted the front desk to ask about it, and got told the AC was turned off and wouldnt be on and asked rudely to show prove of having been promised AC. We were suggested to open the window. Which we did. We woke up with so many bites from mosquitoes and then also noticed others had had the same issue, because the walls were covered in little spots from splattered mosquitoes. We ended up leaving a day early because we legit could not sleep because of the heat, the mosquitoes and then the churchbells (which goes off often, this is not the hotels fault. But it is partly the reason AC should be available if the guest wants to).
All in all, this hotel were a giant disapointment and we left. It was not worth it.
The location as Well is in the most busy part of venice and i would not recommed this place, venice is small so staying somewhere quiet is better we think.

They are thief’s- all traveled were canceled because of Covid 19. I Ask for my refund they refused to give me my money back. I make sure they will not get any business from me, my family,my friends and colleagues and anyone I meet in my travel. I will be their worst salesperson.

Overall pretty good, the service before the check-in is amazing, both Riccardo and Guido were very nice.
Pros - service, location (3 minutes walking from St Marks Plaza), location
Cons - The WIFI is bad (seems its a problem in Italy). The city tax has to be paid in cash, no other option.

This hotel was wonderful. Riccardo and Guido were the nicest men and they were very helpful in recommending places to visit, restaurants, etc. The hotel is very old. 1490s old. But it was perfect. We fell in love with Venice. The location of Lanterna di Marco Polo is the best. The rooms are very quaint but nice. Showers are super small but did the job. Only drawback was that there is no lift (elevator), and we were on the 4th floor. It was the 3rd floor but they count from 0 in Italy, lol. WE LOVED THIS PLACE. Our group of 7 was split between 3 rooms and all of us thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Venice. We loved getting lost in the maze that is Venice and soaked in the food, wine and scenery. Such an amazing place and thanks to Riccardo and Guido who made our stay so nice and relaxing.

Ricardo was great! We felt like family there.

Perfect location in venice. Food shopping everything within walking distance minutes away from popular spots. I came from USA, and i couldnt charge my phone so dont forget to pack one. The hotel does not have usb plug either. Perfect spot to just sleep and go.

Friendly, helpful staff, great location. Fabulous dinner recommendation. We would stay here again.

Great location! It was minutes from Rialto Bridge and about 5 minutes(maybe less) from St. Marks Square. Very friendly staff at the front desk. We would stay here again.
