It was okay, the breakfast was a nice variety. The beds were hard and pillows flat. Some of the front office staff the female and the bellmen were nice the others could care less if we were there or not. Friends are small but if you used to stay anywhere in Italy from so not very much.

The hotel is right on the canals, beautiful view, nice place. Staff is amiable and helpful.

Fabulous hotel, fabulous location!

No elevator. You have to carry luggage upstairs. Room did not look like picture.

Wonderful place to stay in Venice. Easy walk from water bus (5 minutes). A great central location with great shopping and restaurants nearby. Staff was nice and very helpful, location is very safe and quiet. Would definitely consider staying again

We upgraded to the luxury room, which had a balcony and floor to ceiling windows overlooking a beautiful canal. Gorgeous! The breakfast is included and had a decent selection of cakes and the usual yogurts, eggs, meats, cereal etc. location was fantastic. Highly recommended!

This property was quirky, quaint and unique. We would like to have stayed longer because it was just close to everything. It definitely isn't a 'posh' hotel but it has what you need and the staff are lovely.

Great location on the end of a street and sitting on a canal. Loved the charm of it. Thought it was a little weird at check-in when the staffer said for an extra 50 euro (and had to be in cash only) that they could give us a canal-view room. If the canal-room room was obviously not booked, I'm not sure why they didn't just offer it. Seemed like a bit of a shakedown for a room that (for all we know) might have been what we were already assigned.

Amazing view of the canals and historical buildings.

I like the hotel location

Great location and good breakfast.
Overall a good experience. Rooms are older, musty smell (lots of air fresheners which I do not care for).
3.9
The only complaint was there is no elevator and the steps are steep. We would sit in the lobby before climbing up to our room. Breakfast was good. Staff was very good. We had a room over looking a canal and watching the many gondolas go by. Just warn about the many steps for seniors especially.

Phenomenal service from the staff, and the delux room with canal view was just incredible. Thank you!
3.9
This property is small, has a lot of stairs, and the rooms are very very small.
3.9
Great for families. Comfortable beds! Very helpful staff.

Beautiful hotel with friendly staff and wonderful breakfast. Convenient to everything.

Hotel has good location but when I had a problem with the outlets in the room only one staff from the Philipis help me the other 2 staff from Italy didnt even gave me the time to explain what was going on. It’s over price the room is so small and to get a room
With view of the canal I had to pay cash $50 more that I thought was weird. Breakfast was good.

Greeted by a lady that told us that there were no rooms available , even though my husband and i were right around the corner booking a room , wanted to make sure that the room we were booking was indeed that room, i asked if they had any rooms at all available (at least 5 different rooms available on expedia ) she says "no" , so you have no rooms with canal view ? Well yes , but it is 450 dollars cash (apparently she was under the impression we could not afford the room". The rudest, most disprespectful greeting we have ever had , and we have traveled the world and have never experienced such a rude person . So we get to the room (king suite) it is two twin beds pushed together with a big gap in the middle , the mattresses were so thin you could feel the springs in your back. 480 dollars for one night , no air conditioning , no fans , so we opened the windows to get at least some breeze, we were eaten alive by mosquitoes throughout the night , This was absolutely the worst two days we have ever experienced as far as the room and the lady we were greeted by ,(refused to give us the managers name or her name ) The breakfast room is so hot , you do not even want to eat. The young man that helped us with our luggage was very kind to us . Thank God this was not our first experience in Italy , we had stayed in maiori at the panorama hotel beforehand , absolutely gorgeous room with AC , balcony , and wonderful people ( and cheaper) unbelievable rudeness

Great location! In the middle of everything, and easy to walk to attractions. Room with a view is a must!

Quaint boutique style hotel. Our bathroom was recently redone & very nice & functional. Our bed was very comfortable.
Location is where all the high end shopping was. My wife loved it.

Broken door handle, broken lights, broken bathroom

Very clean. Well situated. No elevator which didn’t suit me but I managed. Refrigerator not functioning properly. To have breakfast, one had to leave the building and go down the next street.

Beautiful like a postcard.

Clean and conveniently located hotel. Excellent option in Venice

We liked how closed the property was to Saint Marks Square. The room was very large. We liked the continental breakfast and the friendliness of the staff. What we didn’t like was, there was a strange smell in the hall to our room and we found the bed uncomfortable.
3.9
Check in took a long time and we were starving. Unit was in a different building which was kinda of difficult but the view of the canal was gorgeous
3.9
They should make an update in the rooms. Old is different than old and kind of dirty and damaged.

Well located hotel in Venice, faces one of the canals which is very convenient if you take a water taxi from the airport. If you take the vapor erro it is also convenient, just a short walk. Excellent shopping around, piazza San Marco really close.

We spent 4 nights at Hotel San Moise in a family room (2 adults and 2 kids). The room was located in an annexe around the side of the hotel and across the pretty courtyard. The room itself worked well for our family (1 double and 2 single beds) and had a great view across a small canal which was a main thoroughfare for gondalas. Unfortunately it was also the main thoroughfare for the refuse collection barge and several delivery boats that would noisily arrive early every morning :-). The hotel is excellently located 3 mins walk from San Marco Square. It had a lot of character, was charming and traditional in design, but it was very tired and in need of updating.

Good location and service

We booked our stay at Hotel Moise, but we were taken to its sisters hotel around the corner. The family ages ranged from 6-81 years old. There were both pros and cons to our stay. The Pros was it was very close to all the shopping. High end stores and etc. It was also a few blocks away from the central square. The hotel waa very close to so many restaurants . We choose this hotel because it was close to a dock and we could get water taxi to pick is up with all our suit cases. We only spent two night there and it was okay for us. now the cons...The rooms smelled of mold and neesed to be aired out. We seemed to have no control of the a/c . Your room was either cold or hot. The sinks and tub water took forever to go down. Some of the rools were roomy while other you barely had room to walk around your bed. The breakfast was okay.

The Location was a centric, the staff was nice and the breakfast was good. The rooms def need an upgrade. It does have an italian 80s feel. My biggest disappointment was the AC barely working. Although they responded quickly and put in a portable AC, due to the high ceilings and window open for the exhaust, it barely cooled. The front desk explained it was because of the heat but it was not. They need to put in a new AC system or get it fixed. It was VERY hot during this time but I stayed in other places in Italy and in Airbnbs and I did not have this problem because the AC units were more updated! We had a canal view that we’re unable to enjoy since we had curtains closed due to preventing the sun from coming in due to our lack of AC. My family stayed in other rooms and their AC wasn’t very cool. We paid about $300 night for an old room with musty AC and a fire we couldn’t enjoy. Not to mention that every morning at 6am, all vendors will dock by that canal to unload their good therefore you will hear all the work happening all the people talking /yelling ….

Was decently clean- comforters or room seemed a little dusty. Front desk woman was semi helpful. Wouldn’t have wanted to stay more than the 1 night. The breakfast and breakfast crew were amazing though!
3.9
Great location and nice staff. Great outdoor terrace to relax.
3.9
No elevator and room was on second floor. Not too bad…right? Wrong. 48 steps to our second floor room. The hallways had a bad smell, the room was the size of a closet, dark and clostrophobic. Very disappointing…but, very clean! Bathroom was nice. Amazing location close to St Marks, elite shops and great restaurants with water taxi stop right out front door! Sara at front desk was a DOLL and AC was fantastic!

It was clean and it was cheap. Got into venice late and just needed a place to crash. Did the trick.
3.9
Very friendly personal. Clean and comfortable. Close to everything.

Our room was perfect! The staff were accommodating and so nice. We would have loved to stay longer. The courtyard was lovely and it is so convenient to shopping and San Marco square.

The charm was perfectly picturesque, the canal, the view, the seating area and all the details in the room. Our balcony room was stunning. We would return in a heartbeat and wish we could have stayed longer. Thank you for a pleasant stay.
