Rooms where clean and comfortable in general. Bathroom was a bit outdated, but everything worked OK. Food was very good and varied each day - plenty of choice for everyone. Also despite visiting during high season queues where rare and short - resort was well staffed and organised. Location was OK, nice cozy town by the scenic sea, but for longer stay you probably want to rent a car for exploring the island.

The hotel was clean and beautiful and rooms great size.
The entertainment was unfortunately terrible apart from one guy who did the table tennis there was no active promotion of activities and the ones that did run weren’t set up well one member of staff just set up then sat on her phone and let the guests crack on
One of the bar staff was totally rude and inappropriate giving underage teenagers shots even questioned my 13 year old why he didn’t want alcohol on holiday but it was only her all the other staff were great
Biggest issue is lack of shade there is none the umberellas didn’t do their job and definitely need updating
Sissi is a beautiful place

We loved the location, right on the sea. The local bay was gorgeous. There was a good variety of pools - some active, others quiet. The food was absolutely delicious and we loved the all inclusive option. But the best part was the staff. Shout out to Andy, Antonia, Manod and Manolis… these guys made it for us. This break was exactly what we needed.

staff very friendly and helpful!
I had a private swimming pool, but there were plenty others wherever you wanted. Healthy delicious food.
Would strongly recommend using spa, after every session I felt revitalised and 10 years younger, staff in a spa very caring and kind.

Spacious hotel with pool close to the shore in a beautiful little village!
Most of the restaurant staff was not really friendly nor customer-minded, petty...

Staff very helpful and kind. Room was very clean. But, i dont really think it's a 5 star hotel. The breakfast wasnt a highlight, the same each day.
Must say a good word about the GYM. great

We had a great time at vasia resort even with the covid restrictions in place. Olga was particularly helpful explaining the regulations & informing us of the happenings around the resort, even gave us a complimentary a la carte meal even though we were only staying for couple days. Good selection of food during meal times, severs are bit too gemerous with the portions (due to covid food at buffet is served). Especially liked the fresh squeezed orange juice during breakfast & the selection of food & ice cream at the snack bar. They also have a free shuttle service to a beautiful sandy beach but we also enjoyed the swimming experienced at the port next to the resort. The only thing lacking was an entertainment program, probably due to covid, but they had a kids club to keep kids entertained & the odd yoga, voleyball. Overall a lovely experience but wouldn't classify it as 5star, but got a good deal through expedia so well worth the price

It was supposed to be an experience of a lifetime. Two best friends visiting Crete. I did all the right research and chose Vasia Resort as it stated it was a 5 star resort. Nothing is further from the truth. Since my reviews are always objective here is the Pros and Cons
Pros:
1. The lobby of the resort is gorgeous
2. They had us in a beautiful villa with a downstairs room overlooking our own mini pool and upstairs overlooking the balcony
3. The resort is situated in a nice village that you can walk around and see shops. There is a supermarket across the street.
4. I did enjoy the SPA facial. That was good.
Cons:
1. I booked the resort only to learn afterwards that the 5 restaurants they boast on the Internet was not available in November as its their winter season. Huge disappointment
2. It was buffer style banquet and each day was the same food with no variety
- The coffee and tea was always lukewarm
- The foods were never hot - always lukewarm
- The food was extremely bland
- The bananas were frozen
- The bacon tasted like rubber
- No specials of the day. IE. Omlette or pancakes...
3. Cats were running around the entire resort. The resorts reasoning is that the customers feed them but it was awful. I have never been to a five star resort where cats were everywhere
4. Internet was so bad that I had to go work in the front lobby. I never figured out the Internet
5. The SPA.
- Closed on Sundays
- They do not used sheets on the massage tab

The hotel is amazing. Staff are so friendly and the food is beautiful. Everything is so clean and precise. I can’t fault it. Second visit this year and plan a third next year! Can’t recommend it enough. Sisi is a quiet place but a taxi to Hersonissos is worth it should you want night life. Sisi and this hotel is so relaxing, love it here!

My husband & I stayed 2 nights (way too short) at Sentido Vasia. We chose the all-inclusive option and were pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness, resort size, F&B options, service and location of the resort for an unbeatable price. The food options are plentiful, although it could be repetitive after a while. The drink options are satisfactory, with local Cretan beer, red/white house wine, soft drinks, & a decent assortment of liquor for mixed drinks. The service is EXCELLENT - everyone is so friendly, attentive, and quick to help. We received a free upgrade to a huge 2 BR suite with our own semi-private pool, which was lovely to have for some peace & quiet R&R.
Note that we did rent a car from Heraklion Airport to drive ourselves to the resort and back (~30 min each way). We also left the property our 2nd day to go to Agios Nikolaos & Voulisma Beach. In all, we spent about 1.5 days on the resort property in the pools, eating most of our meals, and enjoying relaxing nights. 2 callouts - we were not provided with a map of the property and didn't discover parts of the resort until our 2nd night there. I realized right when we were checking out that the spa menu has a map of the resort, which would've been helpful on Day 1. The biggest pain point is that (being in Europe/Greece) smoking is allowed everywhere outside. I was 5 months pregnant and we had to make an effort to move around during pool & meal times to avoid smokers. All in all, we had a wonderful time!

The General Manager took a personal interest in ensuring we and other guests were happy with what was on offer and was quick to assist with and resolve any concerns.

Amazing place, people, food, drinks, pools, entertainment & location...!! We couldn’t have asked for a better holiday destination. The staff is Greta and always ready to assist. The location of this hotel is beautiful, a quiet village with a vibrant atmosphere. “Everybody knows everybody.” The beach isn’t sandy, but stony, but a 5 minute drive takes you to Potamus beach which is beautiful & picturesque. The abundance of food & flowing of drinks, leaves little to the imagination. Great variety in all buffets & there are snacks at tea time too like hotdogs etc. Lots of entertainment & a selection of swimming pools that would leave Tom Daley shy for choice.! All in all, a wonderful place that we would love to visit again & again. My 10 year old daughter loved it too and that’s the trophy for me. Lots of excursions can be booked from the neighbouring offices, at a very good price. We went to Santorini on a Catamaran for a day trip, which was amazing.

The hotel had great pool areas, never over crowded and not a problem getting a sun lounger as always plenty spare. Our family room had two seperate bedrooms and a living area and was perfect for a family of 5. There was a Nice shady area to sit outside in the morning for breakfast and the food was a good standard. We chose to eat out several times and enjoyed excellent seafood. The hotel was in a good location, we enjoyed walking into Sissi and exploring the surrounding area by car.

Misleading Expedia description. Paid more for suite as described as lounge with sofa, but actually separate room with 2 unmade beds and a minibar only stocked with water despite being all inclusive. Had to pay extra to have other drinks put in the minibar. Toiletries hardly designer as described. Little privacy on balcony and walls thin so if next door have lively children or bellowing voices you will hear them. Can’t close balcony door from the outside which means mosquitoes etc can get in. Relieved not to have booked room with a pool as they were on a shared terrace and have no privacy outside on the balcony or pool at all. Definitely not 5* as described. Hot drinks in room consisted of Nescafé sachets and cheap tea bags chucked on a tray by the kettle. Dressing gowns and towels were tired and frayed. Cocktails on all inclusive not ‘nice’ cocktails, think Cuba libre (rum and coke) and tequila sunrise (tequila, still Fanta from a post mix gun and grenadine). Hotel was very close to many other bars, restaurants and shops. The beach involved a climb over some rocks. Breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets had a good selection and always something for everyone, though more meat off the bone would be good (ie chicken breast, steak, pork chops, etc not already covered in some kind sauce). Always some kind of food available so never go hungry, and hotel in general was well kept and clean with pleasant staff. Would go again but wouldn’t book a suite and might even go half board.

Went here with my Wife for a relaxing week to escape pressures of work. The trip achieved exactly that. We stayed in the rooms with the row of small private pools which was a nice touch. Unfortunately there is no view at all from the windows/balcony of these duplex apartments. Daily maid service was unexpected but welcome. All inclusive is of a good standard but as with many such arrangements got repetitive after 2-3 days. There are local supermarkets, restaurants and bars but Sissi is a relatively quiet small town. Short ten minute stroll to the nice little harbour for the occasional off site meal. Staff all friendly and very helpful. Some drinks/beers in the room mini fridge would be a welcome addition.

Excellent service from the hotel staff. Very comfortable stay in a very nice hotel.

Very disappointed and not a five star standard or ambience. Not impressed with the Spa and charging guests 50 Euros for the heated pool.
Not for solo travellers. Busy and noisy with families and animation events. Some staff were friendly and helpful, especially on reception. Excellent location. Sissi is beautiful.

The hotel staff were excellent - friendly , polite and helpful.
The food was average at best and often luke warm due to standing in serving bowls. Menu lacked variety with no wow factor at all.
The entertainment team were poor. There were some activities but no effort or enthusiasm shown by the team , hence by the holiday makers. The evening shows were embarrassingly poor.
There are only a couple of the bars open in the evening with no atmosphere what so ever.

Fantastic hotel for family holiday. Great and helpful staff. Do note that the hotel does not have own beach but provide shuttle to a nearby cobble beach which is not suitable for children. Need to take taxi or other transport to beautiful beaches nearby. Can be a bit noisy if not lucky with neighbors that party on their terrace and in an older room with inadequate sound proofing (old windows).

Good hotel. Staff great and courteous. Food decent but snacks need improving. Facilities decent with good kids club

The two bedroom apartment was superb
Very narrow spiral staircase.. So not suitable for everyone, but we liked it.
All inclusive was good. Large variety of dishes.
We were confused by the 5 star quality of rooms, foyer etc, in comparison to the outside feeling which was much more like Butlins. Very loud around pool.. Not what we expected.

not a 5 star bottom 4 maybe. Didn't have simple things like toiletries slippers dressing gowns thought this was a norm in 5star hotels. we had a deluxe suite hate to see what the standard rooms where like nothing deluxe about this or any other part of the hotel
Cant fault majority of staff but did have a few miserable ones. The manager was very helpful in every way made our stay very welcome.
internet is not wifii in rooms as made out on advert and is very slow in the reception area. There is not much happening around here if you are active and want to visit places do something this isn't really the hotel for you.
Indoor pool can only be used at a charge of £40 per usage. there is no hot snacks during the day only could sandwiches some cake ice-cream and melon.
The hotel is for families with little kids not for adults or teenagers. the swimming pools are full of kids jumping in and out just not the place for a quiet swim
