Good location close to town. Staff friendly and helpful. Very clean and comfortable. Good buffet breakfast.
Very hard to get a sunbed by the pool as people covered beds in towels at 7am and no one else could get near them. Other sunbeds available on grass around hotel so were other options.

The staff, very friendly and helpful, the view from our sea front room
Food is not very good, breakfast was ok, we ended up having dinner at a wonderful close bye Tavern. apparently the hotel is a favorite spot for German tourists. This influences the atmosphere. Front desk is not available at some of the times

The pool.
The pools edge, if you have a cut finger and you touck the edge of the pool, it will reopen the cut.

Nicely laid out. Not high rise. Close to beach. Near enough to restaurants to walk. Nice and quiet.

The Seaview
There were lots of small flies in the bathroom all of the time.
Food could be better.
There were green lights permanently on above exit door which made it difficult to sleep.

Second time we have stayed here. Not as good this time though. The staff, except for the man behind reception, is lovely. The pool is beautiful but quite cold (compared to the sea)
Athena at the pool bar is so obliging and friendly.
The room was fine (sea view) but the air conditioning didn’t work and we had a problem with mosquitoes. The quality of the breakfast was certainly far inferior to last year. There seemed to be lots of tour groups staying.
Quality of the breakfast.
Pool too cold.

The hotel is in a beautiful location, with gorgeous views of the sea. I enjoyed every minute of my visit!

We loved the location of the Hotel. Its away from the main street, so a 5 minute or so walk to there and the main harbour. The staff are truly fabulous - they work so hard, are so friendly and helpful, and make you feel at home right away.
Personal preference, but the main pool area was a little too crowded for us. But, we also appreciate that comes as part of being a bigger hotel.

Nice hotel with a very good location nearest the beach and the tavernas
Even if the hotel doesn't look too big, there are a lot of people. Do not come if you are looking for a "human-size" hotel.
People put their towels in the morning to book the sunbeds at the swimming pool so you do not find ANY available sunbeds all day long.
If you want an espresso for your breakfast even if your breakfast is included, notice that you will have to pay.
Not at all the kind of hotel we are looking for.

A special shout out to George for his hospitality throughout our stay! Thank you we won’t forget it.

Breakfast was good but very often difficult to find a table. Hotel too crowded and restaurant too small.
Damp bed linen every day. No documentation in the room. No DO NOT DISTURB tags for the doors. Broken hair drier. Shaver socket inoperative. No tea/coffee facilities in rooms. Shampoo not replenished

Excellent breakfast, the man at the reception was very kind. Clean location ( not only the rooms) but the common spaces and the area around the hotel. Attention to the guest. Top.
All was nice and comfy

Sea view
There was not hot water in our room very often, so we couldn’t even take a shower :( it is not normal for a 4 stars hotel, I guess?
Coffee is awful during the breakfast :( but when you ask it in the bar (for extra price), they bring you a very nice cappuccino. Why do they serve such a poor coffee at breakfast?

The location of the hotel is far away from the airport and the historical sightseeing.

Hotel is clean and tidy, daily housekeeping in the room, fresh towels in the room every day. Nice sea view for extra fee.
Killed one roach in the room and one near pool.
Food in the restaurant is not good.
Breakfast is ok.
To few beds near pool - need to reserve them early.
For 2 days AC didn't work but was repaired. Laundry closed due to pandemic.
20 mins walking from the sand beach. At nearby beach water is still - no waves, and a lot of rocks.

Spa run by Erin, the massages were perfect.
Garden is beautiful
Sea view and surroundings are nice
Close to Malia with nice beaches ⛱
This hotel was cheaper than others with breakfast and dinner included.
Close to the Heraklion airport (35min by car)
-Check In process, you need to send an email while at the reception to the receptionist your are talking to with booking confirmation.
-At the restaurant there are not as many tables as guests so you need to wait for your table most of the times for 10-20 min. There are very nice restaurants in Sisi like Mike's place with regional food and nice nice wine produced by the restaurant.
-The food was good but with all the fresh vegetables, cheap olive oil and other regional delicious food, the food served at the hotel restaurant was poor.
-There are 2 nice pools, but you will not be able to enjoy it with that many people.
- Beer costs 4,2Eur for 0,4, there is a shop near the hotel so it is ok.
-We had room 203 on the ground floor with sea view tarrace, the room was OK but not perfectly clean ( I mean you could see big stains on the door and some blood on the wall) and it was close to the kitchen or some prep rooms and we could hear staff yelling at each other several times per day.
-You have an info in booking that there is a free 15 min massage but it is only when you buy 45 min session at the SPA.
We have been to 2 other hotels in Creta in Chania and Balos with less stars but the quality was better.

The location in the small town of Sissi is ideal for those who are looking for a quiet location. The pool area is lovely with pleasant sea views. The staff are friendly and always helpful. On arrival we were unhappy with our room and the receptionist was able to offer us an alternative room immediately.
I was disappointed to find that the hotel was not offering a laundry service 'due to covid'. I had checked the hotel facilities prior to booking as a laundry service was high on my priority list. It would be helpful if the hotel mentioned on their website that they are not currently offering a laundry service, then guests can make up their own mind whether to pack more clothes or choose an alternative hotel.
There was very little storage space in the room.

Spent 8 nights at the Martimio Beach Hotel. Very attentive, helpful and welcoming staff. Very good breakfast and dinner selections. Very clean and nice rooms. Appear to have dealt very well with Covid precautions (e.g. covered buffets with individual servers). Supermarkets, shops and restaurants nearby. Will miss the early evening swims in the old port just by the hotel.

The layout of the hotel is brilliant. You get space, not everyone congregates in one area and nothing feels stressful.
The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and I also liked some of the entertainment in an evening.
I also like that there are 2 pools, a main pool (which is super deep in the deep end) and a kids pool to seperate the splashers from the rest.
I would appreciate more designated no-smoking areas. Next to the main pool and pool bar, people can smoke anywhere which is off putting if you are a non-smoker like myself and my family. There is a no-smoking policy next to the children's pool but a few people smoked there and I don't think the staff knew about the policy there either to enforce it.
I would also have liked a little more variation in the food or focus on local cuisines however, I do understand there is probably a requirement to feed the masses and you can't please everyone all of the time.
