Absolutely appalling i want to make a complaint and get a full refund for this stay it was disgusting
1.0 / 10.0
All I can say is that the reception staff and manageress when I arrived were appalling and refused to let me check in so I had to go and book a different hotel. Costing more money and effort.
I had booked as normal with hotels.com so had a genuine paid for booking .
On arrival I was repeatedly told I had to show a photo id or provide a card for pre authorisation.
I had neither with me on this occasion and offered a bank card saved on my phone wallet . They refused this option.
The staff unswervingly relied on their terms and conditions ( which were only sent after they had accepted my booking and had my payment!) and quickly got a hotel owners card out and said take it up with the director . They would not let me stay .
Very inhospitable and very bad attitude and with a ready pile of their directors business cards I suggest they have done this before .
This really upset me and so far has cost me money with no apologies or refund offered.
I was totally surprised by their unfathomable attitude from what is supposed to be a hospitality industry.
There was zero hospitality and only repeated “ computer says no” “refer to our T&Cs “nonsense .
I have never experienced this before and it is likely that they have acted with no regard to consumer rights or laws.
I await a directors response but in the meantime :
Avoid this place like the plague .

Dog friendly hotel staff friendly close to beach parking was nightmare but we was lucky big family room comfortable bed
3.0 / 10.0
Good location, parking is limited and at £20 per day which seems a little steep. Staff are friendly and helpful. Our room was super tiny, didn't have room to put our luggages, couldn't open bathroom door when wardrobe is open, barely had room to walk really but the bathroom is very nice, clean and new, lovely showerheads. Unfortunately we had very noisy neighbours who used the landing as extended part of their room at 1am, even after being told off by hotel staff, so we got zero sleep..

We had a lovely stay. The breakfast was great and the staff were friendly. The room had a comfortable bed and the rooms were clean.

Not impressed!
Not a particularly friendly welcome and the ladies English was not great.
Hallways smelt, our room smelt, bathroom smelt and even the bathroom cabinet smelt!
Extremely shallow shower tray overflowed after 1 shower, imagine the state of the floor after 5 of us had showered!
A rickety old bunk bed had been plonked in the room, some bright spark decided to put it with the ladder on the far side only a few inches away from the window making it tricky to climb the ladder and to get behind to draw the curtains. Every time one of the children moved it made an awful noise.
The coving was coming away from the ceiling and paint chipped off the wall in places.
The duvets didn’t seem to fit their covers.
Not what we would expect from a 4* hotel or for the price we paid, disappointed.

Staff very good and professional,
Hotel very clean
Bathroom very tied, shower screen needs replacing, shower head needs replacing, floorboards really noises, breakfast really good but should be included in price, parking is a ripoff £20 is a bit much should be free

The hotel was very nice.. The staff were very nice but there is no where to park. They have a small car park and if your lucky enough to get a space it will cost you £20 for 24hrs but if you leave to go anywhere your space is lost and no refund. And stillno where to park.

Fantastic hotel. Unbelievably vvean, and extremely nice staff. Breakfast was pretty darned good too. I thought I'd booked a 3 star hotel but this musy be a 4 star. If not then its a travesty.
My only grumble would be that we stayed on the 3rd floor so I left with minor concussion from continually bumping my head on ceiling when getting up to use the toilet during the night.
Will definitely be staying here again.

First impressions not great due to absolutely zero parking within a good distance. Arrived at the hotel and room was ready slightly early so we could check in straight away. Room itself was lovely beds were comfortable. Bathroom is what let it down. Plug was blocked with so much hair you couldn’t have a shower without having a bath at the same time and shower screen was too small for the shower so bathroom flooded. We weren’t given many towels either.
Good nights sleep overall however we were woken at 6.45am by another guest knocking on their door and using their mobile on the corridor. The room doors do not block out any noise.
Breakfast was ok nothing to write home about but satisfied everybody. Bacon, sausage, egg, beans and mushrooms alongside some very undercooked potatos. Toast and pasties also included along with fruit juices, cereal, fruit and yogurts.
We waited for the lift when we arrived but it took over 10 minutes to get to us. It is very slow so if you are unable to climb the stairs I would request a ground floor room as there are a lot of stairs.
All in all a good stay but I’d say the overall cleanliness and noise let it down

Hotel was average although quite expensive compared to others we’ve stayed in that have been far better. The swimming pool was filthy, hairs everywhere and were getting stuck in between fingers when swimming and stuck to feet when walking around the pool. The sauna was nice however, the steam room wasn’t, towels left on the seats and on the floor. Breakfast so expensive for what it was, better breakfast was had in the hotel express and premier inn. Signs around hotel stated that breakfast was £11 pp but when we got there, we were told it was £16 pp. No small toiletries that you would expect being quite an expensive hotel. Parking situation isn’t great, lucky if you can find a parking space 3 streets away.

Yer the bedroom was good and ok to sleep £300 for 2 nights was abit much and also no free parking
Paying extra £50 wasn’t my plan,
We chose this hotel as said to have a relaxing spa,
It’s the worst spa I’ve ever been too, pool water was dirty, sauna didn’t work,
And let in to many ppl at one time for such a small pool and also kids bombing in the pool wasn’t relaxing, great location to get to the beach, would I stay again probs not, spa was really a disappointment

Only stayed for a night, not a cheap room at £150, parking available…at £20 a day, not a coffee shop in the surrounding, coffee machine broken at the hotel. Not working shower and no shower gel been refilled! Squeaky floor board everywhere, not just in the room, noisy! Worst room I ever booked!
3.0 / 10.0
Expensive, but friendly within walking distance of the beach and town, the aged building could do with a bit of loving, reception staff could not be more helpful, could do with a good lick of paint and not patched painted with different colour/shade of paint.
Cleaners could do with putting more effort in, dust everywhere on light and plug switches and dead insects on window sills that do not look like they been dusted in months. Huge spiders web above bed.
Staff stood outside front smoking is not a good sight.
Breakfast £11 if bought in advance but extra £5 on the day.
Had to ask for towels as no towels left after the room was serviced, the towels were like sandpaper and were not big enough to wrap around an average sized person.
Would we use again? No
Would we recommend? No

What i saw, was what i got! Child friendly! Staff were professional and polite. I'll definitely recommend and visit again!

The property is dated but the bedroom was clean with a comfy bed and the air con was very much needed and welcomed.
The property is an old building and if you require a wheel chair or walking aids I am not sure this would be a suitable accommodation.
The pool was very small but pleasant.

Discovered that there was a charge of £20 for parking which was not made clear at the point of booking

Single room for work trip. Small but functional and clean.
8.0 / 10.0
Parking expensive £20 for 24 hours and you’re not guaranteed to have a space if you go out for the day.
Hotel was nice, quiet and clean.
We like Bournemouth very much. We have been coming here for years.

The bedroom was too small and was not cleaned to a high standard.

Just what I expected, decent price point and location good. Parking a nightmare in the whole area. Car park was full and street parking rammed. The hotel is clean, decent breakfast. It’s a little tired but that’s ok.

Room was spacious and could accommodate 2 adults and 3 children. Any issues we had were addressed by the staff
Good location for the beach

Great location! We stayed in the premier room. The bed was lovely and comfortable. There were no toiletries, despite saying on the website there is a selection.
The breakfast was very nice!
The pool was run down, over crowded and the water was not clear. They used lots of chlorine to balance this. Not pleased with the pool. But overall we had a great stay.

Lovely one night stay, we all had a great time. Reception staff were lovely and friendly. The two rooms we had were good size and clean. Very close to the beech. Thank you 😀
6.0 / 10.0
Reception staff were patient, helpful and calm considering how busy it was at times. Bar staff were helpful too. Air conditioning excellent in a large family room. Good power shower. Convenient for walking to Durley Chine beach. Lift available if needed. Wi-Fi available as well as normal TV. Not smart TV so no Netflix etc.
Flaws: parking area at the back of the hotel way too small considering the size of the hotel. Street parking available nearby if you look carefully. Small area in front of hotel to temporarily park in while you offload/on load luggage. I didn’t notice any ramps for disabled guests. Swimming pool was very small. I had to reactivate my key card six times for my room which was really annoying.
Overall the only thing stopping me from staying here again is the parking difficulty at peak summer times.

Lovely hotel, close to beach, friendly staff, good breakfast buffet
6.0 / 10.0
This property is in a wonderful location. Short walk to the beach and prerty close to Bournemouth pier.
However, the rooms although dated could just been cleaned better. On arrival there was just lots of dust floating around the room. Not great if you have asthma.
Behind the tv there was thick layers of dust that hadnt probably been cleaned in months.
We found a pait of earing on the bedside table that was probbaly the previous occupants. House keeping should have removed this, im guessing they did a very rushed job. Its a shame it just needs a good deep clean.
