Your private entry is down wide steps (with railing) to the apartment entry off the lower deck. The gorgeous large deck is all yours with comfy deck furniture and fire pit. All this in a lovely tucked away quiet SW neighborhood. There is free & safe street parking , and if you have a third car you can park it in the driveway. There is a nearby neighborhood park within walking distance which has a pool, pickle ball courts, picnic tables, BBQ pits and horse shoes for your good weather enjoyment.

When you enter the apartment off the deck you will walk into the great room where the fully equipped kitchen resides (full size fridge, stove, oven , microwave, dining table and chairs, coffee maker, hot water electric pot for tea that won't taste like coffee, portable dishwasher, dishes, pots and pans and everything you need to make a meal except the food itself). Coffee and tea are provided along with milk and sugar. The great room also houses a queen size bed, 2 dressers & 2 nightstands. and two large closets. There's room enough for the living room with two sofas and a big comfy chair along with a TV with Roku and cable. There's a desk with chair for any work you may need to get done and a fireplace insert for ambience or extra heat if needed. There is also a full bathroom with a shower and washer and dryer right off the great room.
A door opens to a long hallway off of which there is a second full bathroom with a new shower and tub, and 2 bedrooms. Bedroom #1 has a second queen bed, a dresser and a large closet with shelves and extra bedding. The second bedroom (#2) has a bunk bed with the lower bunk being a comfy futon that converts to a double size bed with a twin bed on top and a large closet with shelves. If needed I can provide a single cot or single blow up bed and/or a queen size blow up bed- which can fit in 2nd bedroom or great room for another person or if anyone prefers that to a futon or twin bunk. Bedroom #2 has a second TV, a microwave, hot/cold water dispenser, coffee pot, small fridge and smaller supply of dishes as well as a second door to the backyard. This lovely location provided the place for our family’s “girls” from age 15 to 80 get together’s adventures in Portland. Great choice!

I traveled to Portland with my husband, oldest son & daughter-in-law, youngest son & partner, and my elderly mother-in-law with the goal of enjoying some multi-generational family time. Julie’s apartment accommodated all of us quite well with plenty of comfy beds, 2 well-equipped bathrooms. , and an adequately outfitted kitchen. We played board games on the deck surrounded by fruit trees, walked the 2 small dogs that were with us in the yard and the pleasant, quiet neighborhood, we ate some great meals including pizza from a local pizzeria the first night & a traditional Swiss dinner of raclette the second night which we cooked ourselves in Julie’s kitchen.
Julie is an excellent host, who is easy to reach and communicate with about anything that comes up. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at her place and meeting her too. We will will probably stay there again!

This is a first rate property. Julie, the host, is a plus, the apartment is very complete, and includes a large covered terrace with pleasant views of the garden. The place is very quite and we slept better there then we do at home. Julie also has paid attention to the details like good towels. The apartment is below Julie's house down a steep slope so there are some stairs; however, the stairs are well made and not difficult to navigate.

Clean property in a great location! Julie was super responsive to our requests and questions. Great place to "work from home" as; has great desk space and WIFI

For a property listed as a 'mother-in-law', we were expecting something a lot less private. This was a lovely stay, the space was enough to fit our family easily with everyone spreading out (2teens, 2parents). The owner is lovely and hospitable. The surrounding neighborhood is quiet, but also an easy distance to get anywhere on freeways. Only downsides for us were: 1) Being COVID times, we didn't expect too much from a 'pool' or 'tennis' description. But we didn't see at all, and are curious where they would've been. 2) We found the queen bed in the living area a bit awkward layout with kitchen, etc. But, if you need the extra bed, it makes sense--and the bed is comfy!

We had a wonderful experience and stay! The house is in a beautiful area- the view from the deck is fabulous- and seemed both away from the hustle and bustle of the city but close enough to everything to make going out easy! The owners were friendly and helpful. As a group of 7 women we were thrilled that there was enough space, bathrooms, and bedrooms/beds for all of us to be comfortable! We went out one night and stayed in and cooked the second night. (If you like margaritas and Mexican food we recommend Rauls Mexican Restaurant- 5 mins away and delish!) Fred Meyer is in the same shopping center as Rauls, so close, and provided us with everything we needed for breakfast and dinner. And if you're looking for something to do we did a package wine tour (3 wineries) and it was a perfect day! We highly recommend this location/listing.

Julie is such a gracious host. Enjoyed the house. Something about how it is built that allowed my sister’s family and my family to a perfect reunion. As much as we enjoyed outdoors, our kids loved to stay at home. This is very close to downtown and the prefect central place if you need to call vet Portland in 3-4 days. Thank you Julie, and her cat and dog (whom our kids befriended in no time) for the wonderful memories!

As described on the site. Perfect size for 6 adults. Plenty of towels and linen. We didn't cook there, but kitchen seemed adequately stocked. Be advised, this is not a good rental for those who are allergic to cats. I am quite allergic and had a scratchy throat and itchy red eyes anytime we were inside. There was no visible cat hair or odors, but there are cat doors and carpets. For me, it was not pleasant.

We were very happy with our stay: the deck and trees were wonderful, the kitchen worked well for breakfasts and lunches, my teens were happy the internet was strong, and we enjoyed the friendly cats. A good setting for three generations of family.

We were a varied party, all ages including a 1 year old. Owner was very accommodating and easy to work with, responded immediately to any requests. The place was very quiet and had a beautiful deck. I think we all fell asleep out there at least once. The house is built into a hill and the apartment is on the back in the basement. It is really nice. The only problem was getting down the hill on the side of the house to get to the apt. There were big steps and lights at night but if you have problems with going up or down hills or any balance issues be really careful. We all managed okay. The little ones had a great time. The owner has a beautiful dog and cats so we felt right at home. The place was impossible to find without a gps. But once you're there it's really beautiful. No dishwasher so take paper plates and plastic utensils with you. It's close to the zoo and rose gardens.
