Started a little rough because one of our rooms was flooded and very dirty, but got much better after that. The manager gave us a much better room. The staff was quite helpful. The rooms were clean and spacious. Location was amazing. Only complaint was that the rooms got very damp due to the proximity to the sea. Not being able to leave the AC on all day made it hard to get that dampness out. Otherwise a great experience.

The proximity to the ferry boat for Capri was excellent. We discovered an elevator (5 euros, but you can also take steps) to the upper town for more restaurants and shopping options.

Great location

The room was comfy, with a cute view, bathroom wasn’t that clean. Mould behind air conditioning and in shower.

Everything outside of hotels control was great (area, views, etc). Everything they could control was terrible (staff, condition of building, AC, WIFI, etc)

The property was clean, room was nicely decorated, loved the pool area and it is located within close proximity to ferrys that go to Amalfi Coast therefore, very convenient. However, the amount of steps to get down to the hotel and then to go up when you want to walk and explore Sorrento are not only overwhelming at first glance but quite a workout especially when bringing luggage as there is no one to assist or any form of transportation provided by hotel to get you down there or up and out when leaving. At night and early morning the walk up to the town by the steps is also not well lit. Also, lacked professionalism as two female employees were arguing and screaming at one another while we were in our room. It was not only uncomfortable but unpleasant.

The bathroom has mold on the shower doors. The room is clostropobic..way too small, limited storage. We were in a corner. Everytime we opened our door it was stuck and sounded like our neighbors was going to open.

Very nice small hotel. We were pleasantly surprised by the service, amenities, and value. Would definitely stay again!

Our family loved the stay at this hotel which is almost a boutique hotel. Morning breakfast was very good. Staff was so nice and helpful. Restaurants in the area were good. We liked being near the water and could get up top of the cliff easily with auto, walking, or the lift. The Skyline rooftop bar was awesome. Beautiful. Relaxing. Great passion cocktail. Raphael is awesome!

Towels were not replace 1st day nor was room made up. Air conditioning did not work until the 3rd night. Refrigerator did not work and was replaced the 3rd night.
No bell man to help with luggage and we had to walk the luggage up and down a total of 7 steps. Breakfast was very limited, but the Americano coffee and Cafe Latte were soso.

The sea view from our room was beautiful

Location was by the wharf sea views and a couple of dining options. Steep stairs to reach the top and access to town however there is a lift you can pay to use Breakfast area and selection was good. Great location for catching ferries or arranging tours

Location is great if you are using the port. Moderate hike with many stairs up to the city. Room was nice with a large balcony and sea view. Bed could use some padding. Front desk staff ok and restaurant staff very friendly and food good. We would stay there again.

Our check was terrible. We did not get the room that we expected and when we tried to change it, we were met with a very uncooperative person. It wasn’t until I reached out to Expedia who contacted the hotel and got our room changed for the remaining three nights. most of the hotel was wonderful it was just one very rude person at the front desk with a no can-do attitude. The hotel is in the main area of Sorrento. It is down by the porch, which is very hectic and noisy during the day. She gets to the town you have to go up meters of stairs. 15 minute walk To nightlife and restaurants
Overall it was a good stay

Good breakfast, near ferry terminal. Looks newly renovated. AC could not provide cool air circulation at night, we had to sleep with the window open=traffic noise.

The front desk staff were not very welcoming i don’t mind giving the key but when i’m waiting for the desk to stop a conversation after 10 min it gets frustrating, also the walls were white, but also had black marks all over

Loved the rooftop bar. Perfect location to be able to use ferries to other locations.

The hotel doesn’t let you control the AC. Our room was hot and everyday we did complain, they would go up to our pretend they were fixing and was still the same . Had terrible nights , hot and smell mold . Never ever staying there again, not even for free. They are the one who control the air and they turn off 9 am. It’s ridiculous

the sound insulation of the room that I stayed was not good. I heard toilet flushing, shower noise of the next room.

Nice place, good location if you’re ferry hopping and there is a lift that takes you right into town for about a euro each way. Breakfast was decent. I wish I had stayed here the whole time I was in the coast and just day-tripped everywhere instead of paying a fortune to stay in Capri and Positano. Next time.

Wonderful sea view room!! The roof top bar was great for evening cocktails. The location was perfect for taking the ferry to and from Naples and a date trip to Positano. The bed was comfortable. It can be a little noisy at night, but that would be my only complaint. Great accommodation. I would recommend!

Pros: Location near port for excursions
Great staff and free breakfast
Cons: Stairs, but there is a lift nearby that takes you to the main area
Would highly recommend this hotel!

Excellent location within 60 seconds of the main pier which can take you to Capri and other islands.
The staff were friendly and helpful with locating local taxis etc.
The room was okay. We booked a sea view with balcony and the view was incredible. A full panoramic view of Vesuvius and various other islands.
Cleanliness not so good. The floors are all tiled which look amazing but they were filthy. Lots of black dust everywhere which transferred onto our shoes feet and anything left on the floor. The bathroom was really unclean. The shower head is encrusted with limescale and mould. The walls were also very mucky. It’s a shame as overall it’s a great hotel with amazing views.
My advice to the hotel owners would be to concentrate on deep cleaning the bathrooms and floors and this could be a 4 star hotel easily.

Good hotel, Not ideal if you plan on staying here to party or are a younger crowd. They take your key and don't seem the friendliest when coming back late in the evening or early mornings.

Great time at Il Faro

An all around great option for a family of four. The air conditioning seemed to struggle a bit with the summer heat, but it was better than nothing. The breakfast was a great option. We didn’t use the pool but it looked clean and people enjoyed it. It was small, but served it’s purpose. The restaurant on the ground level is delicious. The staff friendly all around. Very convenient to many beaches and the port. A little bit of a hike to reach the top of the cliff and main shopping area of Sorrento center. There is an elevator to reach the top for a Euro per person. Overall good option for families or travelers on a budget.
There is a parking service that costs €20 per day. No issues there either other than you have to wait about 40’minytes for the car to arrive once you call for it.

The location is @ port, which was convenient to go to other places. The hotel is old & clean. The sea view rooms are Gud. It however needs renovations, it’s @ a prime location for beach holiday. It is bottom of cliff, u can walk up the stairs or walk abt 10 minutes take lift. The parking is €25 per day

The hotel was in the best location right in front of the pier that takes you to Positano, Capri, etc.
There are beach clubs and restaurants at your doorstep, as well as an elevator in front of the beach clubs that takes you up to the top of the cliff and into the main square where all of the shopping and dining options are.
At night, nice and quiet. Much better than staying in the center of town.

Great location. We booked the room late and the front office was very accommodating. Walkable to the port.
2.5 / 5.0
The staff were friendly and very helpful during our stay. I highly recommend the hotel as it is away from the center and the ferries to Amalfi Coast. The Manager, Pasuale Boccia should be commended for taking time to provide added information about the area and travel suggestions.

Great location 😀 to be in front of the port. Breakfast was good. The roof top sunset is amazing !!!!! Don’t miss out.

Don’t be put off that the Faro appears to be perched halfway down a cliff in the middle of nowhere…. it’s very easily accessible from the elevator a nice 500 yd stroll along the beachfront and it’s right next to the port for your trip to Capri.
The rooms are recently refurbished in bright clean tiling and well appointed. The addition of a rooftop bar and plunge pool is a great addition… fabulous for sunbathing by day and drinking by night… and they play great music. Just try not to be in room 405 if you like going to bed before midnight as the party is virtually in your room

Central to everything you want to do, eat, or travel to see....
Their Vela Bianca Restaurant is on our list as "go to" must in a city with some of the best restaurants in the region...and the hotel staff can't do enough for you...
The Sea View has Mt. Vesuvius directly ahead and Marina Piccola off to the side...and their roof top "Skybar and Pool" is a must for cocktails before dinner......with Rafaelle; a true "Mixologist" serving up the best French Martini's in Sorrento...
