Wonderful hotel for a special treat. So comfortable and friendly staff who went the extra mile. Delicious food both in the evening and breakfast. Love the shortbread! Fully recommend!

This is a beautiful and peaceful property. After a long day of travel and the desire to delay the more busy Edinburgh, this was the perfect place to relax and rest and renew before continuing on with our travels in Scotland. The property is perfectly maintained, the staff is excellent and every detail has been thought through with care. We would have loved to stay a second night.

Excellent stay from start to finish, and made to feel very special by all the Cromlix team. Food was exceptionally good too. Nice touch having the wellies we could use to go explore the lovely scenic grounds as well.

From the moment we entered the hotel we immediately felt special and taken care of. The sign in process was a joy, and the room did not dissapoint! The bed was divine, and the attention to detail in the room was impressive. We had a fabulous meal at the onsite restaurant, and it was reasonably priced as well. My wife and I cannot wait to go back.

Spur of the moment visit for me (and my dog), the experience right from entering the grounds was lovely. Everyone was extremely welcoming, with a glass of fizz and the hotels signature scent (newly arrived candles) which smelled amazing I felt right at home.
My room, Lavender Cottage, was spacious, very clean and had everything needed. Bed was very comfortable (firm mattress). Nice selection of teas along with family recipe shortbread.
Great offerings for breakfast with a nice view of the garden. A quick visit of the grounds (which the dog enjoyed) and beautiful chapel and my stay was over. I will defiantly return.

Beautiful and restful. Staff was gracious. Restaurant was truly excellent. A bit hard to find and a closed bridge (under repair) made it even more difficult.

From the moment we were welcomed through the front door to our car being driven to the door and our case placed in the boot, the service and care was faultless. The staff were so friendly and attentive. The food was exceptional and Cromlix was a very peaceful oasis to relax in.

The stay was exceptional. The staff were second to none, the house lovely, the food fantastic and suite so clean and comfortable. Special shout out to Emma. Only niggle, not so keen on the restaurant decor. We didn't mind it being modern but it was no where near the standard of food. Felt like a leisure centre.

Beautiful property and house. Very cozy. I wasn’t aware of a 25 GPB tour credit. This may be because we had a brief stay and didn’t do any activities.

Service and staff were amazing. The room felt a bit tired and dated. The light fixtures and fittings weren’t in keeping with the rooms and the bedding was dated. The bathroom needed up dating to.
We were also very disappointed with the food it was over priced and nothing special. The vegetarian options were uninspired and not what you would expect from the Roux name.
I would struggle to recommend this hotel to my friends and family.

We booked in for a one night stay with dinner for my 70th birthday. On check in our
reservation could not be traced although luckily I was able to show e mail confirmation . Some mix up between hotels .com and Cromlix had caused the issue but all was fixed and on hearing it was a special event we were upgraded to the Bowes Lyon suite which was much appreciated and very special.
The hotel is in a lovely location in the middle of spectacular scenery . It is a late nineteenth century country house and retains the character of the period with decor and furnishings to match . Our dinner and breakfast were of a high standard the only negative being the portion sizes for starters and dessert at dinner which whilst looking great and being tasty were very small .
Overall it was a great treat and thanks to the lady at reception and the deputy manager the upgrade made it memorable.
The staff at the hotel are fantastic and a credit to the hotel.
We highly recommend a visit.

Great night spent at this special place. Warmly welcomed on arrival to the car park by George who helped with our bags and then greeted by Sharon and swiftly helped to our room. Service was attentive and professional whilst being friendly. Dinner was amazing - truly memorable.
Look forward to a revisit!

Room was very clean. Food was amazing, and staff were absolutely fantastic.
A great place to stay.
We went for a special occasion and had never stayed in a 5 star hotel before, and i was perhaps a bit nervous regarding my preconceived ideas about a hotel of this stature. However, from the moment we walked in we were given the warmest welcome and nothing was too much trouble for the hotel team.
Fantastic place to go!

The Cromlix was an excellent experience. The customer service was outstanding and the menu although limited the quality served was first class. The selection of beers were very limited.
In the room I was surprised there was no full length mirror.
Overall a first class three day stay where the weather allowed us to enjoy the grounds.

Loved the traditional aspect and the decor in the bar is lovely. Room was fantastic and comfy. Overall could do with some ambience, maybe some background music in the bar or restaurant and more choice from the menu.

Lovely dog-friendly boutique hotel - we had the 'small double' which was actually very spacious. The hotel is beautifully decorated, the staff were excellent and attentive, and we really enjoyed our meal at Chez Roux. We hope to be back!
