Lots of party noise during the night. Great for vacation. Not so great for working man.

The room & front desk staff are great. The kitchen staff can NOT cook steak. Go some place else. The hotel is dated, but has beautiful architecture throughout. The water preasure is horrible and it is beside a busy street, so noisy.

Very old to noisy customer service wasn’t that great

A lovely, grand hotel with gorgeous inner courtyard filled with hanging plants. The rooms, however comfortable, are tired and needing a bit of updating. That being said, parking was secure, our pooch had a good place to do her business, and we could walk 12 minutes to a mall where we had beers and dinner at Beer Box.

Wonderful people but it's noisy. Ask for a room away from the Main Street.

Abandoned building around the hotel.

It is a beautiful older hotel. The central atrium is amazing.
The staff were very nice to us. The only improvement I would suggest is more soundproof windows facing the highway. I had no problem at all sleeping but if you are a light sleeper you might want to request a room that is not facing the highway.

Lovely property and staff. The only thing that we didn't like was there was a sewage smell in our room that was overpowering at night.

The hotel staff is very professional, polite, very attentive and attention to detail. The Hotel is so beautiful and is kept clean at all times. Anything you need they are there for you. This was my third time I stayed at Hotel Baez Carrizal and the staff remembered me and my family. The second time I stayed was for my honeymoon and it was an amazing experience. Gracias a todos. Thank you to all.

It was pretty good.

The room was a little dated but it had everything we needed. The restaurant had good food but no English. I have been here twice and was given a highway side room twice. I am wondering if the Hotels.com lower rate means that I get the less preferred rooms?
Thanks
Larry

The hotel was nice, but the location was not good. It was not near any of the sites and a taxi was needed to go anywhere. One other restaurant besides fast food were near the hotel.Staff was pleasant, but spoke little English.

Traffic noise. Somewhat of an old industrial area.

The hotel is old, very old, and desperately needs updating. The exterior paint is peeling, the bathroom had quite a bit of mold and the mattresses were worn out. The hotel bar was closed for renovation but management made no provision for the very small restaurant to serve beer or wine. We were originally assigned a room on the highway and when I asked for a different room, the desk clerk told me that nothing else was available. When I pressed, a room suddenly appeared. In the elevator, the bellman told me that the hotel had very low occupancy at the moment.Unfortunately, it is all too common in Mexico for the owners of service businesses to treat customers as a nuisance, a necessary evil required to generate money. This hotel exemplifies that attitude.
