I have stayed here quite a few times and this was not the best stay I had. Staff that I interacted with where friendly. However, requested twice for a top in the morning while cleaning service was about. They went into the room but didnt top up the tea and coffee station. Asked again for these when i saw it and still nothing. At 11.30 at night had to take my child out on a horrible night to get milk from a local shop and they wanted some tea to help them sleep. Also requested for dust to be cleaned off the wall lights as it was effecting my allergies. Again, this was not done, despite the clearers been in the room.

Hotel was lovely but when leaving we weren’t even asked if we had a nice stay or had any problem. Plus every time we had a shower the smoke alarm with of with the steam

Terrible hotel - would not stay again. Poor service and hotel is tired and in need of a massive refurb - definitely not four stars

Couple stay. The room was spacious and comfortable however there didn’t seem to be any way to regulate room temperature.bathroom tired and could do with updating. Lovely river view. Really convenient location within easy walk of all the City’s attractions. Recommend walking the walls, tower museum, the pubs and coffee shops on Waterloo st. Decent breakfast, usual fare. Be aware the nearby Exchange restaurant and wine bar only serves drinks if you are eating there - we called in for a cocktail and were basically chucked out after one drink! Licensing rules apparently but it’s not clear when you go in. Overall loved our visit and learnt a lot. It’s a great city.

All good except that the room was too warm and I could not reduce the temperature.

Very small beds, small room, terrible pillows. Needs some freshing up with paint and carpet. Tub was difficult to maneuver for over 70s group, very high sides having to crawl over.

Everything was great, staff were lovely the hotel is lovely unfortunately we had to cut our stay short but I want to get back again to complete the experience.
Our room didn't have AC, not a big deal as it was in the cooler time of the year in NI but I believe re-furb work is in the works over the coming year for such things.

So unhappy with experience. I accidently booked the wrong night. I realize it was my fault. But they charged me premium for the night I needed and i also had to pay for the wrong night i booked. And never used it. What a waste of money.

They had run out of cooked food at the breakfast buffet and thus a large queue of people were left waiting for 15 mins for supplies to be replenished. Bad management

Derry City hotel is located in a beautiful area of the city. Its a min's walk from peace bridge, shops & Dining. Food is lovely in the hotel.. My only fault would be that when we go to the room to relax they always put us in a room without the view,, ie (wall facing wall!)in a beautiful city, but I understand that this isn't always possible.😊

Loved our break in Derry and definitely recommend the City Hotel. Marked down only because the leisure facilities and pool weren’t available during our stay as looked forward to a swim each morning. That aside the hotel is in a perfect location for exploring the city and its fascinating history, and staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was amazing and loved the fact that the toast was made as your breakfast was dished up, without having to manoeuvre a toast machine that had its settings moved with every user. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

City Hotel was very central , busy hotel with a buzz about it. Service was plesant although slow at times perhaps not enough staff at the very busy bar & lobby areas . We were able to get parked the first night in the free parking provided by the hotel. However when we returned the second evening the hotel parking was full and we had to use the pay carpark nearby. There was a misunderstanding regarding the hotel stamping the parking ticket before we got our car from the paid parking. The hotel was unable to assist with reducing the paid parking fee was disappointing as we choose the hotel because it said parking onsite...

I have stayed a lot at city hotel, have to say I love it, but for a change I'd like a room with a view, not one that suck beside Tesco making noises at 6 AM just a nice room with a view.

I stayed there with family and the staff were friendly throughout our stay.
The location is perfect and a stones throw away from the peace bridge and town centre.
The main thing with the hotel is how outdated the hotel is.
It could do with a renovation to the rooms, the lobby and the fitness centre.
They are all okay but are outdated and could benefit from this.

I had ordered a family roo. For me and my 2 sons. But i didnt selet it was a adult and 2 children. Wen i got to hotel they said i boooked to adults. But that it was no problem at all and it didnt affect our stay. The staff were so so nice. So helpful. My son is serverly disabled and he was treated with so much respect. Staff went above and beyond.
