What an amazing little hotel!! Views, service, lovely room and bathroom, comfortable beds, clean, incredible breakfast!! We will be back or to their sister hotel next door the Belvedere. These are well run and we can’t say enough good things !!

Right by the water and steps away from the castle and everything you wish to experience in PortoV.
Staff was exceptional and so helpful.
Room is very simple.
Would stay again.

Great location. Room was large with a nice view. Bed was comfortable, but I could have used an extra blanket. Breakfast was good

I had a really nice room towards the beach. The street light was close to my window. Light was bright for my room and one other. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Manuel and giuseppe.

Well located. All ocean view rooms. Beautiful hotel with very nice staff. There is hotel shuttle service to train station in La spezia. Taxi from La spezia station to hotel is 40 euro.
Bus is cheaper but takes very long time. Italian bus!!
I definitely recommend this hotel. Very lay back and comfortable place.

Fantastic 2-story room for our family of 4! The loft was awesome. The ocean view was amazing. AC worked really well and we slept comfortably. Great location, near downtown, various beaches, restaurants, shops, sights. Hotel staff was fantastic, kind, helpful, efficient. Would return for sure. We

Stay here! You won’t be disappointed. It really is paradise. Much better than staying in cinque terre. I traveled with my 80 yr mom and teen daughters. All of us loved it. The views are incredible. Lots to do in the town and easily walkable. Went swimming in the grotto by St. Peter’s church. We toured cinque terre because I thought we had to see it but couldn’t wait to return to Portovenere. It’s quiet and laid back. The breakfast was very good. Our room was big enough for 4 and had 4 twin beds. The staff is very helpful! This is probably my favorite place I’ve ever traveled. Truly spectacular. Would return and stay here or the sister hotel, the Belvedere.

Beautiful location and view; very helpful staff; excellent breakfast; all at a reasonable price. This is my 3rd (or 4th?) trip to this hotel. It is consistently wonderful. Thank you!

Disappointed that restaurant was not open. Hotel is not luxurious but great for families

We booked this the date of our stay Wed. Dec 29, 2021. When we arrived during the designated check in hours all the lights were off and the doors were locked. Phone rang repeatedly but went unanswered. A lot of surrounding hotels were also closed. Call and confirm that this hotel has reopened before arrival!

Our room was smaller than expected but we made the most of it and initially they could not find our reservation 😳 Otherwise the service was excellent!

Views from room were beautiful overlooking ocean

I liked everything but the sound insulation between rooms 234 and 235. First I heard running water and after a couple of hours I went down and reported it to the front desk. Somewhat reluctantly the person in charge followed me up and checked room 234. Turned out that the water in the toilet was running. Easy fix of an irritating problem. Worse was that the occupant of that room was snoring so much that he kept me awake. Not an easy fix!

Great little old-world hotel and restaurant near the center of town and right on the shore of Porto Venere. Super helpful and friendly staff. Great breakfast spread. No pool or rec facilities, but it’s walking distance to a couple of beaches - both free and private.

Portovenere is a nice quiet town away from the Cinque Terre villages,. A lovely hotel a step away from town, the restaurants, pier, great views from room and close to the hiking trails. Staff at hotel were great. Will recommend highly to friends.

Lovely location at the foot of Cinque Terra. Room had a perfect view of the harbor and the morning sunrise. Great breakfast.
Only negative is the cost of taxi from the La Spezia train station...40 euros! and on the way back to the city the hotel would not let us share the hotel van with another couple without paying the full 40 euros...(:
We chose the bus which unfortunately does not stop at the station. A hike if you have more that a light bag.

This was the most beautiful Hotel in a lovely setting, Lucca is a great city to visit. The team at the hotel were fantastic and everything was perfect. Beautiful gardens, stately rooms, wonderful views and countryside. We will be back for certain

The room’s furniture was very outdated, the bed and pillows extremely firm to the point of being uncomfortable. The bathroom was truly small. The WiFi never worked. Considering the hotel is quite expensive, there’s much room for improvement.

Great stay. Fantastic location

A nice hotel close to the beach but away from town centre.

This is a gem of a hotel. The town is charming and the hotel is well run and absolutely beautiful. It could be a challenge for the elderly with all of the stairs as it sits on a hillside, but other than that I would enthusiastically recommend this hotel to anyone!
4.0
Very pleasant stay, in a good location. Rooms were simple but comfortable, bathroom very small. Many good restaurants nearby and good location to catch the ferry or bus to La Spezia.

We found ourselves unable to find a room in the Cinque Terra. Booking in Porto Venere was the happy accident we will always remember. Whereas the Cinque Terre was touristy and overcrowded, staying at Hotel Paradiso was exactly that, paradise. Quiet, clean, incredibly helpful and friendly staff, we enjoyed our time in this beautiful hotel in a beautiful port with its own incredible charm; food, sites, shopping and swimming.

Portovenere is a hidden gem! Compared to it, Cinque Terre villages are over-crowded, over-hyped and over-priced tourist attractions. Portovenere has everything - a marina, a small beach, a bunch of restaurants, remains of a small fort, windy streets and souvenir shops. I cannot recommend it more. Getting there is a bit of a problem: a car is recommended but parking is tight.Hotel Paradiso was awesome. On the first line, with great views from the terrace, nice breakfast and friendly staff. Id certainly stay there again.
