The location of the hotel is great, literally right across the street from Copacabana beach. The downfall is that the area is not the safest as a solo traveler safety is something that is important to me. The hotel itself is not what I expected from photos or previous reviews. The hotel is older and you can tell. The room was outdated and not very clean. However, the view from room was amazing. For the price they charge I would have expected more. The complimentary breakfast was ok nothing over the top. The rooftop pool is small and the gym is small as well.

Perfect location across the street Copacabana Beach. Minutes from restaurants. Great breakfast with wide variety. Would definitely stay here again.

I was extremely disappointed how I made paid an additional fee for breakfast, my stay was 6 days out of which I had breakfast 3 times. On 2 of my visits I realized that the food was not being replenished and finished fast due to amount of guest. I asked for eggs n they refused to accommodate me n my daughter by saying they were out of eggs. There was no orange juice the staff at the restaurants did not do anything. I had to place a complaint at the front desk and thanks to them they gave the order to the restaurant to give us wanted. Also on day of checkin we arrived at 8 am to the hotel, I requested for an early check in, I would have gladly paid bc I had been traveling overnight, they couldn’t accommodate I requested breakfast and they said I had to pay for it since my reservation was starting after 2 PM and technically I had missed breakfast. So I paid for the breakfast which I felt was not called for and poor customer service as it turned out they didn’t have our rooms ready till after 2:45 PM. I do wanna complement the people at the front desk and Security especially Felipe for doing an awesome job. The restaurant food was not the greatest. There was no housekeeping on our last day, housekeeping never refilled the soap dispensers.

My wife and I stayed at the Arena Copacabana hotel (Suite, Sea View) for two nights in October 2024. The location is perfect, and the hotel is very modern. The Suite we stayed in was spacious and had everything we needed. We really enjoyed waking up to the wonderful view of the Copacabana every morning; the view is worth the additional cost! The breakfast was good, with lots of choices but not very exciting. There are lots of restaurants and stores nearby, especially the streets at the back of the hotel; the streets do get a little sketchy the further away you move from the beach. The hotel personnel were all very friendly and helpful, and we were able to get a late check-out without any bother. All-in-all, a great place to stay.

The staff here is fantastic & friendly. The views of Copacabana Beach from both the rooms & the rooftop pool/deck/bar are amazing. The central location right across from Copacabana Beach is amazing & convenient, would definitely stay again!

The interior of the hotel room was a bit run down (not like-new as advertised). 350ml water bottles in the room were charged for about 10 real a bottle, which I think is a bit too pricey. AC seemed to make a lot of noise which was annoying when I tried to get some sleep. Everything else was good, including the breakfast, daily maintenance and staff friendliness and services.

I like the location directly across the street from the cocacabana beach. . Perfect for pickups and drop offs when I signed up for an excursion breakfast included and then restaurant on bc site in case I did not go out. Pool on roof was excellent view site gir ygg by d mountains.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was clean with a great view. It’s in a great location at the mid-point of Copacabana beach. The buffet breakfast had plenty of options and new items were rotated in each day.

Leaving 3 stars,after a charge of 150$ to my parents room for a piece of a old rug that it was left on the night stand and the cleaning lady wasnt able to find. Feel that charge was unnecesary after over a week stayed and a big bill on food and beverage. Very dissapointed at that.

Horrible experience at check out, got charged 150$ for a piece of fabric that was missing from room and did not took it. Beware of that future guests at this hotel. Felt that was no need for that charge from front desk, while staying there for a week and paid a lot of money in food and beverages from the hotel.

We received excellent customer service from Lopes At the reception. He is so knowledgeable, outgoing yet professional at all times which is a huge + for me and obviously passionate about his job. It was clear he had a great amount of pride being one of the faces of his company. Iran was also very thoughtful to us and always had this wonderful smile and demeanor on his face. Michelet was our server at breakfast during our 5 nights stay at Arena Copacabana. He was very courteous, warm, attentive and we loved how he could provide us with outstanding service using his French and English speaking skills. The hotel is right across the beach, you just have to cross the road. The view from our room 806 was offering us a beautiful ocean view. The shower water is running great and we had very hot water. We would definitely stay at this hotel again!

Simply a fantastic place to stay in Rio. An outstanding team of professionals taking care of our stay, making us feeling most welcomed. We ate most of our meals in their restaurant, Otaviano. Amazing food. I can’t forget to mention the rooftop and bar. A view to die for, accompanied by great drinks.

The hotel is ok, but you have to luck out on a room… The room they gave me was very small, felt a bit stuffy like it has never seen a ray of sunlight. And, despite the ocean view advertising, I was looking inside the building from a tiny window. Pool was beautiful, had amazing views, and breakfast was also good.

Arena Copacabana is an excellent selection if you eant to be close to the beach, street shopping, Rio public transporttion and the best staff. I loved it. It is crossing atreet from the Copacabana beach. I stayed in apartial view of the ocean view which was better then a partial view. The hotel was super clean, staff was so nice. The breakfast staff was always smiling and even celebrate my wive’s birthday with us. Breakfast was full of delicious things. It is close to many stores, just walk to the left into Freitas street and we found many different stores and coffee shops. About 10 minutes to the subway (cardenal Arcoverde). Easy to access for different tour companies. At arrival, they gave me my room in the morning even when check in was at 2:00. I really appreciate the experience and the dedication of the staff. I will definitely will stay there again.

Excellent location-just cross the street and you are at Copacabana. Modern-looking rooms, new windows (you can't hear the noise), good service, excellent service. Cons: not a good experience with restaurant in the evening; rooftop pool is very small.

I love the staff and the location was perfect for rio. All the activities I had planned met us on time at this hotel. I love the drink options. Honestly the food was average but the hospitality was amazing . They did not have an iron which was very strange so all my clothes wrinkled. However I would return because of the staff . Thank you
