Great hotel. Lovely room. Friendly and helpful staff.
Only one small thing, larger bath towels would be better.

Firstly the good, the staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was quite good but the bad outweighs this unfortunately. The rooms are small and the beds are both small and pretty uncomfortable.
There is no parking available nearby, which to be fair I should have researched before booking, and unless you know Glasgow, it’s difficult to find free on-street parking which there is about 15 minutes walk away. There isn’t really a car park nearby.
For the money we paid, I would have expected better rooms and comfort, so despite the friendly & helpful staff, I wouldn’t return

Very comfortable and extremely convenient location. Quiet, clean and with helpful staff

It was fine. Room at the back was nice and quiet but peeling wallpaper near the door so was a bit tatty. Clean though. En suite was hilariously tiny but just me so not a problem. Bed was a bit hard but all fine overall for one night.

No options for parking at all unless we went to an overnight car park a five minute walk away which we had to move the car by 8am. Really noisy at 5am onwards outside our room as we were right next to the kitchen/dining room. Lots of talking and moving and banging around from the staff preparing for breakfast. Was a pleasant and clean hotel but the rule about being in bed asleep by 10pm wasn’t reciprocated when they were making lots of noise at 5 am

Please provide enough keys for all adults staying. It can be cumbersome to schedule coming and goings when each individual has their own plans for the city.

It is in a good location and the staff were particularly helpful.

Friendly staff and helpful with getting around the city. Excellent breakfast and clean neat room

Really excellent and central location near the Botanical Gardens, Kelvingrove, Glasgow University, and good shops. Attentive and helpful staff.

Good location in green part of west end of the city

My room was not the cleanest it could have been with mold in the shower and random splotches on the walls. The neighborhood while awesome because it’s lively and young but the trade off is that this also means it’s loud at night … like till 3, 4am . I’m hoping I just got a tired room and that the others are fine.

Was looking for a triple family bed room. This was perfect for our stop over in Glasgow. Right next to the Botanical Gardens. Byers Road and Glasgow University.

Nice clean room. Handy for where I was meeting friends

Staff very helpful in every aspect.

Older apartment house type accommodations. I had three heavy bags to take up to my third floor single room. The interior bathroom was probably 3 x 8 ft….felt a bit pinched. Most rooms in independent hotels have 24” televisions and don’t carry Sky Sports…a must during the biggest sports week in Scotland during The Open Championship. Management were attentive and above average in skills. A good British style breakfast is served daily the subject property is located in the West End not far from the University of Glasgow and is accessible to the subway !

Suited me for 1 night stay ,Felt staff bored didn't want to be there ..was quiet and bedroom comfortable ,breakfast was ok ..staff cleared tables reasonably quick but wearing a coat no uniforms looks unprofessional ,checkin guy clearly bored honestly felt like you were bothering him

Good location in walking distance from various sites and restaurants. Wish I had upgraded from twin room, which had an odd layout and was on the top floor with no elevator. Quiet and clean enough. Go to breakfast somewhere else..

Friendly welcome, easy check in. Room was a good size and had everything that we needed. Breakfast was provided and we got everything we needed. Seamless check out. Hotel is on a good transport network for city centre access.

Wouldn’t stay here again, £90 for a dirty little room and zero parking options. Stressful!

Pleasant hotel that was in a perfect location for our needs. Very quiet. The room was very warm overnight despite turning down the radiator and opening the window. Mattress a little too firm for our liking but that is a personal choice. Breakfast was good and the young man serving tea/coffee was pleasant, polite and efficient. Breakfast room was very clean with nice furniture.

The location is great for sight-seeing--whule it's near main roads, it's quiet and not crowded. Check-in was easy, the staff was helpful, and our room was comfortable.

Absolutely brilliant hotel. I always judge a place by how the bathroom is and I’m pleased to report it was spotless, the shower was a good size (good if you’re plus size) and the water pressure was great. Knocked one star off as the bed was a bit lumpy, but I won’t grumble too much. Loads of free on street parking (weekends only) if you arrive at night after pub chucking out time. And it’s a perfect crash pad for after gigs as the front desk is open overnight.

Adequate

Didn’t really look like it’s pictures. Dated, thin walls, the shower was good and the breakfast was good. No parking, outside was £4 / hour and max 3 hours.

Very helpful and considerate service. We had a lovely stay.

Hotel advised where we could get free parking which was a bonus considering the price of the parking in the area. It was only a ten minute walk away through the botanic gardens which was lovely so many squirrels to see was lovely. Hotel very clean and tidy, lovely tartan accessories which was a nice touch. Ensuite small but adequate. Breakfast was excellent, the best breakfast we have had in a long time. A good selection and the sausages, bacon, mushrooms etc was excellent. All tasted great. 5 ***** for breakfast. Very quiet area and 30 minute walk to hydro. Bed a little firm for me personally but enjoyed our stay.

The Hotel is in a good location on the great western road, which was why we chose it for the trip. Check in was ok - the desk guy was efficient if not very friendly.
We chose a delux room, which had double height ceilings and lots of light. The furniture and bathroom was tired but clean. The bed needs a new mattress. The bathroom lighting was weirdly configured with the switch away from the door in the main bedroom.
The towels were tiny and scratchy.
But I slept ok and that is key.
Just expected a little more for the money. There was no fridge, no iron in the room and breakfast was £10 a head more.
I waited to give some feedback but no one came to the desk

Location was the only good thing about this hotel. Room was old and uncomfortable. Bed springs were poking me. They didn’t supply shampoo or soap. Parking was a major production to find. There was no way to park close to the hotel.
3.0
Staff were friendly and welcoming. The mattress on the bed was very poor and old, you could feel every spring through the sheets. Also the bathroom was over the kitchen and the smell of cooking breakfast woke us early even with the door shut. Not ideal.
2.0
We had absolutely no issues staying here. It was good value for money and had some handy amenities nearby. It was about a 40 minute walk out of city centre but very doable. Breakfast was fine and the room was fine - as I said, no issues and good for what we paid. Only downfall was there was a smell of damp in the room and bathroom (bit of mould in the bathroom) but not so strong it was unbearable.
