Had secure parking, but was a cold night and we had no heating. Messaged the owner who said he’d turn it on, but we got back to our room after a walk around and dinner, and room was still cold.
Could hear other guests in the complex but guess that’s too be expected in a place like this.
The Town was quite cool to walk around the walls etc, never even knew about this till we turned up.

This is a gem for visiting Derry - just steps from all major sights yet offers parking and roomy guestroom. Teresa's check-in welcome was brilliant for how to see the city without moving the car or wandering aimlessly, a true timesaver. To be so close to everything and able to run out quickly was amazing in such a busy and congested area for drivers. CH facilitates a wonderful stay in Derry. Highly recommend walking the walls and visiting the Craft Village and Tower Museum within.

Loved this location; the hotel is located steps from the Derry city wall. Theresa is a wonderful host. I would definitely stay here again.

Great place in the middle of the town

It was very near all the places we intended to see-The Bogside. The Wall and the pubs.
We slept like a log in the comfortable bed with the pristine cotton sheets. The help yourself breakfast was well organised and made for a very informal, friendly atmosphere along with the other guests.
Special thanks must go to Theresa who was so obliging and came to our rescue with what to do with our cases and where to park.
Liam, the owner, kept in touch and was very accommodating with check in time.
We would have no hesitation in staying there again. Thank you for our stay.

Very accommodating and informative host. Excellent location near main pub street and just outside city walls, but still completely quiet. Nice rooms. Functional common room. Free parking available

Easy to find, in a quiet street right next to the old town, less than 5min walk. Teresa was on duty, and very helpful and friendly! She showed me around the place (kitchen, a few things available for breakfast) and gave me an orientation to what to do in town! She is a grem!

The guesthouse was the most conveniently located place in Derry, walkable to absolutely every place, public transport on the next street. The topper is, one could not have asked for a nicer and kinder hostess and owner! I would certainly stay there again.

Beautiful property. Our room was very comfortable. Liam, our host, was exceptional—very welcoming and helped us identify places of interest for us to visit. I highly recommend a visit to Derry and accommodation in Chamberlain House.

Guesthouse is right in the center of Derry. In fact, Chamerlain Street is an historical location. Everthing we wished to do and see in Derry is w/in a 10 minute walk. Rooms have been updated and breakfast room is comfortable and adequately stocked.

Super location just outside the city walls. Liam could not have been more helpful. Cereals, yoghurt and fruit offered for breakfast. Property and parking very secure. Some noise from local bar, but not too intrusive

Great location right in the centre of Derry, nice clean room with bathroom and great to have a kitchen available stocked with supplies for a quick breakfast (tea, coffee, bread , fruit, etc.). Free secured parking too! Just bear in mind if yiu have mobility issues that if you are on a top floor room there are quite a few stairs.

This was my second time staying, the first was in April with the previous owner. Elaine and Liam are making small upgrades to make staying nicer.

William was very personable and friendly . A lovely man who was very thorough in showing the house , explaining etc.

William was an excellent host who helpfully checked us in. The room was simple and a bit dated but clean and perfect for somewhere to sleep.
The only downside was the noise of the other guests- unfortunately it seemed that we chose to stay on a night where two separate rowdy boys and girls weekends away were also staying, so the noise did carry on until about 3am, but that’s an occupational hazard and not the host’s fault. Thankfully the host did attend the property and ask the other guests to be quieter.
Overall, amenities and host were good, the other guests were not.

A very comfortable and quiet place.
The accommodation is right beside all the main bars and restaurants but still on a quiet street.
On site parking is a big advantage also.
I got chatting to William who promptly met me for check in, he is very friendly with some great recommendations.

Great stay and the location was brilliant. Cameron, the host, was exceptional. So informative. Nothing too much trouble. Added bonus of the continental breakfast. The place was spotless.

et by a very friendly guy who gave us a lot of useful information about Derry. He even changed our room to a downstairs room as my husband was finding stairs difficult . The only complaint we have is that the double bed seemed rather small . We enjoyed Derry and found the house very near to the centre . A most beautiful city with lots to see ,good restaurants. Next time we go we must stay longer .

The two men who oversee the property are the epitome of wonderful hosts! I felt like I was with family. Cameron told me “safe home” before I left because he doesn’t like to see people go. He didn’t know that it’s my favorite saying, and my aunts (who recently passed). It made the stay even better! He was the sweetest, as was Liam! I will be staying there again when I head back up the island. I did not want to leave!

This place was a disappointment in pretty much every way. Depressing looking, our room was up several flights of stairs. The “breakfast” consisted of some containers of yogurt or pieces of bread that you could fix for yourself if you were hungry. But the worst was that there was no internet! They said “trouble with the server” - trouble that never got fixed. Oh, and we couldn’t get the TV to work either.

Great Location. Easy access point for sights during day. Then back for Pub activity at night. The Host is Knowledgable , Helpful and Friendly

We had corresponded by email with the owner/manager confirming our arrival time and after waiting 25 minutes outside, a neighbour asked if we were waiting to check in. He then went across the street and got another neighbour to come and unlock the door for us. We sat inside for another 30 minutes before calling the owner and left a message asking for him to come and check us in so we could get on with our day. 15 minutes later another neighbour arrived and told us the owner was teaching a yoga class, so couldn’t make it. He took us to the very top floor up several flights of stairs to a clean, good sized room with 1 double and 1 very hard single bed. The bathroom was large and clean. Unfortunately the walls are so thin we didn’t get to sleep until almost 3 am because the people next door were talking and going in and out of their room continuously to smoke outside or use the bathroom. It was an entertaining conversation they were having but we had driven 7 hours the day before and then had another 7 hour drive the next day. We ended up knocking on the wall and asking them to shut it down. Great location for walking around the city walls, however you must be in excellent physical shape to climb up the stairs to your room (leave your luggage in the car) and eternally patient with no plans to do anything other than wait endlessly for check in. It would also help if you are completely deaf if you plan on sleeping.
