The owner described his hotel as a Labyrinth and it is really quirky. I,d like to go back and stay in each of the 12 bedrooms as they're so different and the roof top terrace is a bonus.

Second time staying at Nostos, lovely owners and a fantastic location overlooking Chania bay. Will be back.

Price was inflated due to last minute booking, not worth inflated price. Average stay for someone who is concerned about location above comfort, the staff are really nice, and the place was always clean.

Excellent location by the Venetian Harbour in Hania. Old style with little balconies, a roof deck and sitting area. Kind friendly staff who try to please and offer extra help for bookings. Excellent breakfast included.Shopping and restaurants right outside the door! No cars!

Amazing stay! Super spacious, very clean, wonderful staff, and the hotel has an incredible view of the surrounding harbor. Super walkable area, and the staff is very helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

Ultimately the best location in Old Town - incredible views from the window and balcony looking out at the port and the lighthouse. Plenty of amazing restaurants around, lots of places to do shopping. One word of caution though: car access is only allowed between 7-9 am, so if you arrive or leave at another time you’d have to walk with you luggage for about 1 km. It’s a level walk, but it can be hard if you have a lot of luggage.

Charming hotel and a lovely room.
Very helpful staff.
Some noise from the restaurants at the pier at night, so if you sleep light, probably look somewhere else.
It didn't bother us.

The man and woman at the reception were wonderful!
Internet signal was very very bad, connected and disconnected every 20 minutes, terrible 😞

We loved being right in the old town of Chania just one street back from the sea. The room provided all we need and the Hotel had a rooftop sitting spot with an excellent old port view. We didn't like that we could hear our neighbors; especially the noisy child...

Excellent point, authentic venue, warmest personnel. Very clean.

Room was great, staff were very friendly, and there were lots of activities nearby.

Both this small hotel and the area are charming, with a very helpful owner and nice staff. Our room had a view of the White Mtns and access to the roof. Breakfast was very good. We felt very at home here.

Great location and great price. The sea view is worth it. The bathroom is dated but so is the whole building, but charming in a way. Very friendly and accommodating staff too.

The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The property is in the perfect location to see the old town, right out the front door is a main street filled with restaurants and shops and the windows of a lot of the rooms face the famous harbor. The rooms and bathrooms are a touch rustic, but the hotel is still beautiful.

This is a very old property in the heart of town on a very busy street. Therefore it's noisy.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Notos Hotel in Chania and I cannot express how truly nice my experience was.
The staff are super friendly. They made me feel like a valued guest from the very beginning.
The location of the hotel is also worth mentioning. It is downtown of Chania Old Town and near the local beach Nea Chora (15 min walk). Whether you're interested in cultural sites, shopping, or simply enjoying the natural beauty of Chania Old Town, this hotel provides easy access to it all.
The only very small downside of the hotel was the noise I experienced during the evening hours.(Which is expected when staying at the very down town of Chania Old Town) Nothing that a pair of ear plugs couldn't handle. :)
I highly recommend this hotel to anyone. I can't wait to return next year.

Excellent stay, very friendly and helpful staff!
Had a wonderful time. View was absolutely amazing!

I had a very late arrival, past check-in time, staff stayed up and waited for my arrival, and showed me to my room. I selected the sea balcony view room and was EXACTLY what was advertised on the website. Facilities were far beyond what I expected, having aircon, a fridge, mugs, a kettle, a TV with some english channels. I chose to get breakfast along with my room, however, was not told on arrival it stops at 10am. I arrived on my first morning to order breakfast to realised it had been stopped. Staff were understanding of my situation and made a special exemption and made me breakfast past the time. Each day my bed was made and bathroom tidy at a convenient time where I was not present. Hotel also comes accompanied with a sun roof which was to my surprise. Would HIGHLY RECOMMEND to anyone want to explore Chania. Had a wonderful experience :)

The hotel was very unique! The rooms connected to a rooftop terrace overlooking the harbour and lighthouse in Chania. The service was very welcoming and the location of the hotel was excellent! This hotel is very convenient if you’re going to check out the Old Town in Chania. One issue with this hotel is the amount of stairs – many stairs are required just to get to your room! Another issue is the bathroom – it is fairly basic and could use some improvement.

Beautifully preserved building, blocks from access by car, but near the waterfront. Plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. As with any older building, some of the spaces can be a bit awkward as compared to newer functional spaces.

This is a nice quaint little hotel with superb location just by the varanda and great views (if you take the rooms with view). The shower was a bit small but we managed.

Great location, walkable to all the attractions. Amazing view from our belcony. Clean, comfortable large room. Very friends staff. Would highly recommend.

This place is a great option for Chania. It's in the old town, on (ish) the harbor, but not in the busiest, noisiest section. Great views of the city and the harbor from the rooftop terrace and balcony. The place has a historic feel, with the bed being up a fairly steep flight of stairs, but it has a nice mattress and good AC also. Finally, the staff is very attentive and know how to run a good hotel.
All in all, a great hotel.

Very comfortable room. Good location. Friendly helpful staff. Charming atmosphere.

The hotel is very tasteful and low key. Our room was amazing with a balcony and sweeping view of the old harbor Comfortable bed and a warm and gracious staff. Very complete and tasty breakfast. Near terrific restaurants and the views are exceptional. Just know Chania itself is more of a place for sun seekers and party goers than visitors interested in Crete itself.

Crete is awesome and yhe Nostos is one of my favourite hotels in Chania

Great location, nice room, all was enjoyable. Off season, so not all services available, but helpful staff.

We arrived in Chania Airport at about 21.00 and took the bus to the city center. The walk to the hotel was less than 10 mins. On arrival the staff were very welcoming and were very helpful throughout our stay. Our main aims on this trip was to see Knossos, visit some museums and explore the old town of Chania, all of which we managed to do. It was a very enjoyable holiday and thank you the hotel staff

Wonderful owner, the room was very clean and comfortable. I think it's much better in summer! It is winter and the room was extremely cold and the heater doesn't heat well and the windows and doors have gaps for the wind to get in. The building is neat, decorated cute, and close to everything you will want to see inside of Chania.
The only real negative: $40 charge for an extra guest, we are traveling husband and wife with a baby.

I loved this hotel. It's perfectly located across from 2 fantastic restaurants and in the center of old town in Chania. There is a beautiful rooftop that is shared and overlooks the harbour. The hotel itself is one street away from the harbour and our room had windows with small balconies overlooking the streets. The hotel is eclectic but that's what made it so charming. I would 100% go back.

Be aware that if you book a room here through hotels.com etc websites you will get a small double bed on a mezzanine floor over the door reached by a steep stair from the sitting area below. Quaint but not ideal. Neither is the disco nearby

My stay was just for one night for convenience while waiting to catch ferry the following morning. It's very convenient to the port and bus station, ideal really. Very comfortable and nice reception staff. If price is right, I'll stay in this hotel again.

Great location in the old town. Friendly, and they waited up until midnight to allow us to check in when we arrived on a late flight.

Positives:
- In the middle of old harbour town
- 2 minute walk to harbour main strip
- 15 minute walk to nearest beach
- 10 minutesfrom from bus station
- General store nearby
- AIR CON
- Lovely staff
- Roof terrace
Negatives:
- Kitchen was just a hob, cupboards freezer and fridge.

Here is what I liked:
- Good location, right next to the harbour
- Good staff, "Elferia" at the front desk was very helpful, spent a lot of time on giving us more information / directions on things to do, called multiple places to book a car, very helpful young lady
- Clean and Quaint
Here is what I did not like:
- They put us in a dingy narrow room when I booked superior, they changed that next day when I requested the change, so do not book anything short of superior. I had booked an ocean/sea view, but did not get it
- Showers are very small, water leaks out shower head is falling apart - worst shower i my experince, I have staye d at over 80 different hotels over the last few years
- Only one key to the room door, one to teh from door of the hotel, locked at 11pm so if there is more than one of you, you have to go back together
- We asked for extra twoels one night, they did not have any, siad they get them once a day from teh laundr in the morning
