Definitely will stay again. Everything was decent- thorough information presented at reception, common spaces seemed clean, bed was firm and comfortable, minimal noise through the window and neighboring walls. While the towels were worn/fraying a bit on the edges, they were definitely clean. The shower had good pressure and temperature. The room had a kettle and tea/instant coffee. It wasn't posh or breathtaking but it was enough space for my minimal needs. It's smart that they ask guests eat any takeaways or hot food in the breakfast room rather than their bedrooms. I did not have breakfast so I have no review for that. I chose this spot for it's excellent proximity to the airport -thanks to the 100 bus stop only a two minute walk from the lodge- but far enough, as I didn't hear any airplane noise! It's budget but still pretty good quality. Will return. (Two pillows provided. No mini fridge in the room FYI)

The staff were very welcoming and the room and bathroom were incredibly clean, hats off to housekeeping. The corridors could do with some tlc but nothing to detract from the stay. The taxi service they recommended was fab too. I will definitely stay here again when flying from Gatwick.

There were hairs in the bed when I pulled the sheets back. I didn't feel comfortable resting in a dirty bed. Bathroom emitted heinous smell, like vomit that wasn't sufficiently sanitized. Luckily my stay was for a 7-hour layover so I just used the shower, sat in a chair and used wi-fi. My room was on the third floor and there was no elevator.

rooms are nothing like the pictures. very small the the door couldn’t even open properly as it hit the bed. beds are very uncomfortable and we had holes and stains on our bedding. bathroom is no bigger than a caravan bathroom with a very weak water flow in the shower. also had no lock on bathroom door. states breakfast is available but when asked they said they don’t do breakfast. walls are so thin so could hear everything else going on in the hotel. when booking is says parking is included but once booked had to then pay for parking each night.

We spent one night here before flying home. It was convenient to Gatwick airport. The place was clean, we were on the ground floor which was great but the room had a food smell which wasn’t great. It also needed new pillows.

We arrived in the evening and had to use a phone on the counter to call for someone to check us in. We only had to wait about 5 minutes which gave us time to unload the car. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Even when I called beforehand. Hotel was very clean throughout. It has recent been refurbished. I highly recommend.

Perfect for an early morning flight or last night stop over from Gatwick. Bus available right outside the door and only takes a few minutes. Room was clean, close to the town centre and had everything I needed. Would stay again if near Gatwick.

Cheap & cheerful for what we needed. Easy to walk to from station & into town for food & drinks & easy to get to Airport. Rooms outdated, thin walls. Lack of out of room facilities. Had lounge area but not in use. Bed uncomfotable. Managed for one night & all we needed it for a cheap price.

The Guest House is mostly fine. It's well positioned for Gatwick Airport and it's a short walk to get some good food of an evening in Horley. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The downsides were that we stayed there on one of the hottest nights of the year and all we had was a wall-mounted fan to keep us cool. It wasn't at all effective and we hardly slept a wink. In addition, the shower could muster nothing more than lukewarm water at 9pm. However, it was only one night that we stayed and it hardly ruined the impending holiday. But we were exhausted the next morning...

Older building close to Horley train station. Older mattress and pillow. Small room off busy street. No A/C but mild climate today. No mini frig, but didn’t need it. Totally adequate for one-night stay near Gatwick airport. Staff helpful. Would stay again in this beautiful , safe neighborhood.

We needed a hotel to overnight before our flight out of Gatwick the next morning and this fit the bill perfectly. It was an eight minute walk from the train, but the staff informed us there was a bus to the airport only one minute away. The hotel is in a quiet residential area and the room was lovely and quiet. We didn't spend any time in the lobby areas, but it looked like it was quite large with tables and possibly opportunities to prepare meals.

We have a good short stay to avoid stress for our departure. Lodge is just a few minutes walk from the train station and few minutes ride to the airport. We stayed at the ground floor and its comfortable and clean. I would stay in this lodge again in the near future .

I wanted to be closer to the Airport to catch the flight next morning.I used train from Edinburgh to the Gartwick.Slept over night to catch flight to Africa in the morning.It was very convenient and managed to be at the Airport well in time.The Hotel staff communicated with me after booking .I informed them that I was going to arrive late so they gave me instruction of what to do when I arrive, transportation contacts.They were very helpful.I reccoment this Lodge.

Great stay for the airport. Allow you to eat takeaways in the dining area. Helpful staff. Just 5 minutes from town centre with plenty of eateries and good cafes. Easy bus service to Gatwick although not much room for bigger cases on the buses. Fastway need to take note.

We stayed here for one night before a stupid o'clock flight from Gatwick. Communication beforehand from the staff was brilliant, advising us on taxi options to the airport, parking etc. The room was lovely, modern decor, comfy bed, very small bathroom but who cares it was fine! We got the train to Horley and it was about a 10 minute walk, very easy. Lovely pub and restaurants within walking distance. Staff were super helpful offering us a choice of rooms on arrival to meet our needs. Great value too and the fact that breakfast is optional is great as we left far too early to want it.

We stayed at the property for 5 days and our room was never cleaned. We had to ask for towels and toilet paper. We emptied our own garbage. Some difficulty in finding any staff members.
