Stayed at the Hacienda Bugambilias for 10 days in early December '24 and enjoyed everything about this place! Very authentic, the staff were great and took care of our every need. Good food at the restaurant and slept great every night! Nice and quiet with off street parking! Highly recommend this Hacienda!

It was a great experience and all the personnel were very helpful. The only CON was the WiFi wasn’t working. I would definitely visit again.

Pros - clean, spacious rooms, friendly staff, nice pool, few minutes walk from the water and less than 15 minutes walk to Malecon. Quiet neighborhood.
Cons - internet is mediocre in the rooms and non -existent by the pool or restaurant so no laptop work by the pool. You will also have to walk 10 minutes for bottled water or beer/wine etc.

It's and old hotel and needs renovation. The pool is ok and there is only food service from 8 a.m to 3 p.m

We had an absolutely wonderful time staying at this hotel. The rooms are large and clean and the common area is exquisite. My husband and I were able to walk to coffee every morning and dinner at night. The hotel is located in a very safe and quiet part of town, easily walkable to many different restaurants. We cannot wait to return!

I prepaid for the room, but when I arrived for check in, they told me that I needed to pay again in order to have the room, it was late, so I did not have another option

Very nice, inexpensive place to stay, especially if you have a dog. Lovely mexican charm. With some paint and touch ups, this place could be so nice. The beds were comfy. Definitely could use some new towels. The pool looked dirty but lots of kids using it. We couldnt get any channels on the tv but thats ok. Secure parking was nice to have.
* Not a great place to walk your dog in the area as there were a few packs of street dogs running around. All in all a nice, simple place and I would stay again.

The best kept secret in La Paz…..clean, quiet hacienda, a 4 minute walk to the Malecon…price is right, staff are wonderful….don’t spend twice as much elsewhere…this place is delightful…

Nice staff & great location. Walking distance to El Malecón
The pool was unavailable during my 2-day stay, I had to be moved to 2 different rooms upon my arrival (my first room was making an alarm sound that they couldn’t fix & the second room didn’t have a working TV. Unfortunately didn’t have a relaxing stay as they are renovating the hotel which meant workers were there early in the am making a lot of (loud) noise

It took them at least 30 minutes to find our reservation.

We race vintage in NORRA and have stayed here 8 years in a row. Safe, clean, thanks so much.

Actually didn't end up staying there. Pulling in to the 20ft high fenced prison yard with barbed wire on top and then reading the 40'40' statement on the hotels front wall that basically said everything was going to be stolen, we found another hotel and took the loss.

This hotel is kept very clean and neat however it lacks curb appeal. We could not tell it was a hotel until we drove into the parking lot. This hotel has the basic amenities. The room was simply decorated and clean but looks dated. However it does not have hot water for showers and the woman in reception was not very welcoming. I would recommend this hotel if you are simply looking for a place to lay your head at night but are not going to spend any time in the hotel.

We love the painted courtyard with pool and rocking chairs all around. And of course, colorful bougainvillea climbing up the walls. Tooms are simple and clean and the staff friendly and helpful.

Not exactly a walking neighborhood at night, but no problem if driving. Lovely clean place to stay, good restaurant...sufficient. There are great places to eat minutes away, so not an issue.

I was attending an event at La Morante Art Bar so the location was ideal for me. They had good secure parking and I was able to walk where I needed. They also have a lovely pool. All in all, it was a great place to stay, especially for the price.

This simple Hacienda lacks the glamour and glitz of many of the fancier hotels in the area, but it MORE than makes up for it with kind, warm-hearted traditional Mexican hospitality and is situated to offer an authentic view of La Paz. The staff of Hacienda Bugambilias couldn't have been any kinder and more welcoming to our family during our winter holiday stay with them. They treated us and our young daughter like members of their family and made sure that we had everything we needed for comfortable and relaxing stay. The hacienda is situated in a great neighborhood with kind neighbors and many great local smaller hidden dining establishments offering breakfasts and lunches with locals and not too far out of the way that we were able to walk or take short local bus rides nearly everywhere we needed to go. The hacienda is simple, but has all standard needs in one place, including simple rooms, a pool and a restaurant on premises. We're very happy we decided to stay with them and look forward to visiting again.

Very sweet hotel near everything. The staff, from janitors, maids to front desk, are the happiest group of workers I have seen. They are all so pleasant. I will definitely return.

We drove around for a while before we found the hotel behind white walls with razor wire on the wall tops. A bit intimidating. Everything else was pretty much standard

We needed a one night stay and a place that accepted pets. This is not the Marriott, but the price is very reasonable for what you get. Service is very nice. If your expectations are right, you won't be disappointed. This is a very nice hotel, with pretty plants, furniture and wall paintings in the common areas. Decor in the room is a bit dated, but the flat screen TV, AC and overhead fan were all in good working order. You can woalk to everything in downtown. We'd go back.

We stayed at this hotel which is close to the malecon (boardwalk) by the Cortez Sea. The hotel is well maintained with spacious, clean rooms. Plenty of parking and nice, clean pool. The only con is that they didnt have a fridge in the room.

This hotel is not close to the center of La Paz known as El Malecon. Unless you're an avid walker, I suggest you rent a car while in La Paz. The young lady who checked us in seemed very depressed and aloof; however, other staff were attentive. It's a nice hotel to stay at for ONE night only. We drove-in from Cabo San Lucas to spend the day at Espíritu Santo Island (Highly recommend you visit this Island) and wanted a hotel reasonably priced for one night. This hotel will do IF you're not too picky about customer service and don't mind out dated rooms. The A/C works well and the beds are comfortable. Bring your own soap and shampoo, as their toiletries aren't that good. I hope this helps you make your decision. Be well and enjoy LaPaz!

Charming courtyard (murals) with lovely pool. Rooms clean, no frills. Surprised at check-in that a $20 deposit was required - is this to insure that we return the a.c. and television remotes? Dogs ok however a 1000 peso deposit required - no problem but no one checks to see if your pet has done damage at check out so what was the point? Also, staff were almost rude when we walked in with our dog and commented that "we hadn't given advance notice with our reservation." Explained that this was part of our search criteria on Expedia; certain rooms are designated for pets so they had to reassign our rooms after we'd already checked in. Again, it was no big deal in the long run.
What was annoying was that no food or drinks are allowed around the pool. We were reprimanded for having these because there is a restaurant on the premises. However, no one ever come out to ask if we'd like to order anything (2 glasses of wine, 2 beers and our snack consisted of a small Tupperware container with nibbles). BTW, there was one other family of 4 staying - no one else even around.

We have stayed in this hotel twice -- the service is personal, the facility is clean, inviting, and picturesque. The location is quiet and just a few blocks away from the Malacon -- for strolling along the beach and enjoying the weather.

Stayed for four days. The bed and sheets were not very soft but clean. The restaurant and bartender were fantastic. Nice pool area and helpful front desk. Walking distance from the Malecon and in a neat neighborhood.
