Immerse yourself in the beauty of the Rio Cangrejal at Villas Pico Bonito. The property is absolutely stunning, right next to the river surrounded by palm and flowering trees. The infinity pool is gorgeous and refreshing. The food was delicious, and the service was wonderful. I will definitely be back.

Villas Pico Bonito is one of the most beautiful locations we have visited. The villas are gorgeous and well appointed. The surroundings absolutely spectacular.
We were greeted at the ferry in La Ceiba and driven to the property.
We took a guided jungle hike up the mountain of Pico Bonito National Park with Ozny, who was a wealth of information. The hike was hard work but doable by us, a couple 60yr olds. We also went white water rafting with our guide, Pablo, whose experience and knowledge made it a fun and stress free couple hours.
The food and service in the bar/restaurant was top notch. It was a comfortable place to chat with other guests and enjoy the surroundings.
We would like to thank Richard, our host, for his warmth and professionalism.
I HIGHLY recommend visiting this amazing location.

Our family stay December 16 through December 19. We stayed one night in La Casita and two nights and Tucano. Both rooms were nice but we love Tucano because we had the Riverview.
We hiked Pico Bonito trail with Richards German shepherds, and just chilled by the pool and the river for the rest of this stay.
The food and drinks were delicious!
It is definitely A relaxing, beautiful spot!
Our family fell in love with the two German shepherds Ace and Lexi, Prosecco the cat, and the turtles.
Thank you Richard for being so welcoming. We will be back!

It's a wonderful establishment with fantastic, helpful employees. The road in is what you'd expect for a rural road in Honduras. If you're up to driving it or use their airport service or a taxi then it's an amazing gem that shouldn't be missed!
Kudos to Richard who had the vision to create it and to his wonderful employees.

Enjoy the stay and the grounds are great. Lots of scenery to enjoy and peaceful. Checkin is a little confusing and unsure about exactly what needed to be done for check in or check out. They are very accomodating as they even had the restaurant stay open when we were getting there at closing time. Food was great and really enjoyed our stay and will be making this our go to resort in Honduras

Richard the owner and his staff were very friendly and offered great service. He upgraded our room at no charge and that was especially nice.

My family and I greatly enjoyed Villas at Pico Bonito. We stayed in the "el Bejuco" villa for four nights, which we found very comfortable for three people (although our 11-year old son has pretty much outgrown a sofa bed, and by this time next year we would need a two-bed villa). The grounds are lovely and well maintained. The pool is one of the better ones we have encountered and is especially welcome after a morning hike to the el Bejuco waterfall! The owner's two German shepherds, Lexie and Ace, became part of OUR family while we were there, accompanying us on our hike to el Bejuco. We ate many of our meals at the Lodge, although we also used the facilities in our villa to prepare our own meals. We found the food very good, although sometimes the approach to service (particularly at breakfast) was a bit of a mystery. One tip - you need to pre-order your breakfast the night before. If you arrive late in the day, remember to do this!) Fresh natural juices would have been preferred over juice mixes, both at breakfast and at the bar. The kitchen equipment provided in our villa was adequate but not extensive - no wine glasses for example - but the staff was very accommodating and did their best to respond to any request (including a request for wine glasses.) Richard, the owner, is extremely amenable, and happy to assist with your day's plans. In my personal view you will need to work hard to find bad things to say about this place.

Two couples stayed in the spacious, beautifully constructed Ceiba Tree house overlooking the pool area and river. Two good king beds in each bedroom, with fans and mosquito nets (no window screens) and 2 bathrooms. We had little trouble with bugs in March and were never too hot. The river and pool were perfect temps to lay around in. Loved the huge wooden bar and kitchen in the house, surrounded by beautiful jungle. Many flowers and birds. Good food and drink at the restaurant had to be ordered early, as they closed up around 6:30 and it is pricey and inconvenient to taxi to town, 25 minutes away. The friendly owner drove us to La Ceiba one day for supplies, as we did not have a car. Safe, clean, well-managed, welcoming, and quiet, this place is amazing! We also did a fun guided river tubing excursion, as the river was low for rafting - recommended! Hope to come again, we LOVED this place and our first trip to Honduras!!

This place is so beautiful- tucked away on the hillside next to the river. Richard the owner was wonderful and the staff was great, too. We will definitely be back!

The staff we’re just okay, I don’t why is a sing to use the Pool and say in Spanish not English that adults have to pay Lp300 and Lp100 the kids, if I’m paying hotel room the Pool have to be free so I did a reservation for 2 nights, but I left the first night. The room was dusty with a lot spiders nets and the smell was like they never opened the windows.

This place is definitely a paradise, you have access to wonderful views, located in the middle of the jungle, access to the local beaches is 15 minutes away. The only thing that I had not read in any review is that there is no phone signal close to the hotel, and you only have wifi if you are the bar. In the room we rented, the bathroom was downstairs, that means if you want to use it at night you have to go outside to get there, this could be a little uncomfortable if it is raining.

We planned to arrive in the evening but because the location is tricky we came in the night so we missed the view. The room was cozy and clean. Great location full of nature. The owner was very kind and special. Hope we came back to really enjoy this beutiful place!
