This hotel is a one floor building the rooms are situated where the restaurant, bar and reception are. Our room was directory to the street on one side and right outside of our door was the reception, two full nights of not sleeping due to the noise either from the street or the reception and restaurant.

Not what we expected, not what was on the website.

My mom and I had a great experience at this hotel. The area was perfect, it was super close to the center of the city and near many restaurants and shops. The front desk staff, Manuel and Cristian were super helpful and made sure our stay was comfortable. The rooms were super cozy and we loved the rustic feel. Will definitely be staying here again!

I did not get the room I requested. They moved me to a family room at the same price which was okay, but not what was expected. The bed is extremely comfortable. Food is great.

It was an amazing game experience. Hotel is very very unique and artistic. I staid in a cabin like room. Every room is a different design .

Good location, near Zocalo, however very noisy.
Missing window in my room, I have not been able to sleep the first night due to street noise. Next day, I've informed the reception, when I came back during the night, window was still not fixed.

The courtyard was my favorite spot. The modern and traditional blend of decor was comfortable and pleasing

When we arrived at our hotel, we were a little put off because although we phoned ahead and said we would be arriving on the midnight bus and assured all would be well, we had to ring about a dozen times before someone arrived from the amping building. However we were shown to our charming casita. It was cold in the room but after turning on the heater, and with the help of an extra blanket we felt comfortable. The bed was wonderful - the best we have had in our 3 week trip!
The casita sits in a private area in a lovely garden and has a nice hanging chair from which to relax and enjoy nature. It is called an art hotel for a reason - unique light fixtures, lamps and even bathroom taps! We loved it - rustic and chic at the same time,,
The staff were very accommodating and helpful. We originally had a reservation for 3 nights, but liked San Cristóbal so much we wanted to extend our stay for another 2 nights. Unfortunately they were about to begin a 2 month renovation and could not extend us. But they lined us up with a sister hotel just around the corner and we were very please with the ease of moving to another lovely location.

Our short stay in lovely San Cristobal was marred by two things. One, the bathroom (which was open to the rest of the room in the modern style, and without a curtain or frosted glass) smelt bad and because it was 'in' the main room we couldn't escape the smell. Two, and much more problematically, the hotel had one of its apparently regular performance nights on when we were there, which are held in the courtyard from where all the rooms are accessed. This wasn't an issue when a stand up comic was on, but was unbearable when ridiculously loud dance music was played until late into the night. This was so loud that when the music finally did stop, our ears were ringing with tinnitus. When I complained, the staff were friendly but explained that they couldn't do anything as it was "an art hotel" (which reading other negative reviews seem to be their catch-all excuse). This would be fair enough if the hotel website gave any indication that guests at their raves got priority over paying hotel guests, or if this were explained at check in, but neither of these were the case. So effectively our room could not be used as a hotel room (relaxing, reading, sleeping, etc) from about 8pm until nearly midnight. This was a shame as otherwise the hotel seemed nice in general and in a great location. My advice: whatever you do, call before you book and make sure one of these performance nights are not on.

Great boutique hotel, good staff. I stayed at Il Giardino which is quiet and you have privacy.

The staff is great and very accommodating. Only downside is the water pressure, but is expected in San Cristobal. You cannot beat it for the price and location.

Overall I had a good experience at Sereno. The location is ideal and the space is really well kept and cute. I guess I just expected a little more given the price. But I was there during Semana Santa, so perhaps the prices were increased due to that. My only criticisms are: I was never oriented to the hotel by the staff. Not a huge deal since it is small, but an orientation to the spa and grounds would have been nice. Also, the WiFi service was pretty awful. Not sure they can do anything about that either, but it should be noted. I had good service, but if I moved literally a half an inch, it was gone.
The other issue I had was that it rained very hard one day and the ceiling in my room leaked in multiple places. The staff were great and immediately moved me, but I also think it should be noted.

I had a excellent experience to stay in this hotel for 2 nights. There are well decorations and with many nice pictures. The location is exactly convenient to walk to the downtown, it just about 3-5 minutes walking. The room is super clean and big enough. The most important thing is the bed which is super comfortable to sleep. The staff are stand by for 24 hours and very nice and helpful. It is really a good choice for staying this hotel if you have plane to visit this lovely town!

Smells moldy in room due to terrible ventilation prob, staff participates in loud late night music and banter in main quad/lobby (it ended about 1am on a Tuesday).
Good central location to main plaza if you don't care about sleeping or air quality.

Lovely hotel, just done, infact they were still finishing it whilst we were there. Really calming and relaxing. They are obviously still working out a few kinks. The finish isn't perfect but it's a cute place and they seem like a good bunch. Good place to stay.

Great hotel with unique decor. We stayed in the Rey room. Absolutely huge.
But............very noisy bar at the end of the block which sometimes played really loud music from 8. The real gripe though was the nightclub around the corner playing really, really loud music, enough to shake the windows of our room. This went on every Thursday, Friday and Saturday from midnight until 5am.
