Excellent(148 Reviews)4.2
Right near the entrance to Pompeii, across the street from the train station. Could not be better location. Everything was very nice
4.2
The perfect place to stay if you're visiting the ruins! Great value!
4.2
This hotel is okay if you want to stay over after seeing the ruins.
Personally, I couldn’t see any other reason to stay here.
The WiFi is NON-EXISTANT.
We also found most of the restaurants around here we tried were very poor in quality of service and food.
4.2
Everything excellent a good and clean staying with very helpful staff.
4.2
Nice cheap place to stay

Sound travels very easily in this hotel. We could hear noise from nearby rooms (things like coughing, talking, a chair moving, etc) and this kept me awake. You can also hear trains passing (but we expected that and it wasnt too noisy) The bed was not comfortable. The hotel restaurant closes extremely early at 5pm and nobody explained that to us. Thankfully there are other restaurants in walkable distance but it would have been good to know. Breakfast was basic but all fine.
Staff seem to communicate the mininum they can. The only bottled water available after 5pm was from an expensive vending machine. This is a very conveneint stop however, as its next to the Pompeii Scavi trainnstation and a couple of minutes walk from entrance to Pompeii, but convenience is where it ends.
4.2
Need bigger garbage cans in the rooms.
Water in the shower took a long time to drain.
We loved everything about the hotel.
Thank you!

This is a tourist hotel at the entrance of Pompeii. There is also a tour company booth outside and the train station is here. You cannot get any more convenient and it was so affordable. Extremely clean. Multiple cafés in walking distance. Please note many of them close at six. Plan accordingly. This is all I needed to tour Pompeii and Mount Vesuvius.
4.2
This property is literally on the pompei ruins doorstep. The staff were helpful and the hotel was clean. Breakfast is self-service in the restaurant opposite. I am gluten free and when I asked them I was well catered for.

I chose to stay at Hotel (Camping) Zeus at the recommendation of a friend, who has stayed there for years when working at Pompeii. Except for a few nights when I had to tolerate a loud neighbor, the room and grounds were quiet. The facilities were clean and in good repair, with excellent housekeeping and a staffed, friendly, and helpful front desk. I liked that the room had a mini-fridge, so I could keep some drinks, yogurt, fruit, and left-overs. The room also has a mini-safe to stash one’s travel docs and electronics.
People stay in the area for convenient access to the Cirvumvesuviana and the main entrance of Pompeii. Unfortunately, most nearby restaurants close at 6:00 pm, so you need to stock your mini-fridge, walk into town, or up and around the corner to the few nearby restaurants for dinner.
My reservation came with breakfast every morning, which was very basic, continental: yogurt, espresso or cappuccino, cakes, croissants, ham or salami, and bread. The “juice” was really just a sweetened water drink. That said, the staff were very nice. For a more substantial breakfast, the bar/restaurant Sgambati (owned by the same people?) serves omelettes, in addition to a regular menu of appetizers, salads, panini, pasta, and pizzas.
Overall, I was very satisfied staying at Hotel/Camping Zeus and look forward to returning.
4.2
Right by the train station and walking distance to the ruins. It's very convenient.
4.2
More a motel than a hotel, located right on the parking slot of Pompei Ruins and in front of the train station to Napoli. Not much else to say : not very charming, but efficient. Room a bit noisy with the ventilation. Breakfast in a bar nearby is ok but with not much choice. Nice view on the Vesuve.
4.2
Hotel Zeus is in the perfect position to access the Pompeii Archeological site. It is also 100m from the train line making the commute from Rome, Naples or Sorrento / Amalfi Coast super easy. Rooms were clean and good value for the money we paid.
4.2
We check in after midnight and the front desk gentleman was very helpful.
4.2
This hotel was spotless, quiet, and staff was friendly.
4.2
The hotel is convenient for visiting the ruins, as it is a two minute walk to the entrance to Pompei.
The breakfast is not lavish, but quite decent and convenient.
The front desk staff does a fine job.
They offer to put you in touch with "tour guides", which we turned down. There are official guides at the park entrance tour desk which cost the same and do a much better job.
All in all, the hotel is adequate for a one or two night stay, and we would stay there again.
4.2
Very friendly staff, extremely convenient to the Pompeii Scavi entrance & train station. Good breakfast.
4.2
This property was very close to the Pompeii ruins and the railway station.

Ok

Excellent location and room. But, gutter smell in bathroom was nauseating. Mold in bathroom. Also the AC did not work. Room remained hot. Had room changed next day. Here too AC fan did not work. Small things but should be corrected ASAP.
4.2
Picking a place to stay near a famous site is tricky. Maps are not always good in helping to determine actual distance. This hotel is a quarter of a block from the train that arrives from Naples. Add another quarter of a block and you are at the entrance to the Pompeii ruins. The staff are friendly and helpful. I am so pleased I chose this place to stay.
4.2
This is part of a camp ground. Breakfast was adequate but not the best.
4.2
I would wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone and everyone. Staff was very kind and helpful. Breakfast and espresso were wonderful. You are literally at the entrance to Pompeii. The train station is across the street. I have nothing negative to say! We were very happy!
4.2
Easy, fast train ride from the Naples Central Station. Took the train from Rome, and the local train to the Pompei Scavi Station, which is across the street from the hotel. The Pompei ruins are maybe 200 meters from there, maybe closer.
4.2
Excellent location for walking to Pompei Ruins. Nice walk to downtown area & train station.
4.2
Perfect location for Visiting ruins and train station walking distance. Closet food sources close as soon as pompeii closes so nothing close to eat.
4.2
Excellent property, close from Pompeii archaeology park.
4.2
Hotel very clean, day reception staff kind and friendly, night staff talk no English and were rude when we used translators to talk with them and try to book in, area around hotel all shuts at 5pm and a walk down hill to main town around 2 miles.
Dirty area but good for a quick visit to pompaii.
4.2
One of the cleanest places we stayed on our trip. Nice bright colors too.
4.2
Everything shut at 17:30, they only cater for Pompei scavi visitors
4.2
Great stay, simple but everything you needed. Clean. Freindly. Very Comfortable bed. Even brought breakfast tray to the room without us asking.
4.2
If you want to go to the pompeii archeological site then this is the most ideal place they allow you to park and you are fight next to an entrance. The staff is amazing and they also sell local honey!
4.2
The entrance to the historical site is right next door. Very convenient. The scavi train station is right across the street and there are eateries and small shops only yards away.
4.2
This property is located 50m from the Pompeii Scavi train station. There are two Pompeii train stations make sure you use Pompeii Scavi. The hotel door is 100m from the entrance to the Pompeii ruins. It was unbelievable. You catch the Vesuvius bus from Pompeii Scavi. The front desk guy spoke great English and was a huge reservoir of advice and recommendations. He found out I like archelogy and recommended an extra visit to Paestum which was one of the ten best archeology sites I have ever been too in my life. The hotel was spotless too.
4.2
Good breakfast and very helpful daytime staff. Our room had bulbs missing and exposed wiring. Needs a bit more care and it will be fine. Wi fi must improve. Night staff must be able to speak English.
4.2
The hotel was in a perfect location, right next to the ruins. Breakfast croissants were delicious. The hotel staff was incredibly helpful with a tour issue and was supportive the entire stay! It was a great experience!
4.2
Parking spot just close to the room, no stairs, clean and just a little walk from the archeological site.
4.2
Very simple, basic motel, no air conditioning or fan (it was 31 degrees outside this day), at the edge of a parking lot, with what seemed to be tablecloths used as bathroom towels. But, if your goal is to be close to the Pompeii ruins entrance and dont care about comfort then this is great. The reception in the evening was very friendly, but the guy in the morning was not.
4.2
Hotel is Located very close th Pompei Scavi train station, very convenient for visitor to the Pompeii archeological site.
Finding the hotel is very confusing. You must go into a campground and then you see the small hotel. The hotel needs to improve their signs so that hotel guest know that the hotel is there.
The room was small but comfortable. We checked in late. Our room was not ready, but housekeeping got to it reasonably quickly.
Breakfast was adequate. Quality of offerings mediocre for the most part. Good coffee. One of the wait staff seemed surly... appeared to be some kind of staff conflict
4.2
Very nice place for a stay in the Pompeii area.
Only thing that needs improving is the internet in the rooms. Really only works in reception.
