About this house rental
Visit the magic of Annapolis during the Thanksgiving and Holiday Season
Originally built in 1857, this fully-restored home has a rich history that's been documented from it's original purpose as a Horse Barn and later became a popular hotel, due to its location in the center of the City, along with the neighboring townhouses on the block. As part of the larger City Hotel complex, this row house block is a rare example of early 19th century commercial domestic architecture which retains a high degree of integrity and contributes significantly to the pivotal intersection of Duke of Gloucester and Conduit streets. In 1900 the rowhouse block was sold independently in 1903 to Weems and Grafton D. Ridout, in whose family the building remained until the mid twentieth century.
When entering the home, you will be greeted by both the historic charm and all of the upgraded amenities that make for a modern experience. Walk through the impeccably-decorated living and dining rooms into the stunning kitchen with all stainless steel appliance and beautiful granite kitchen counters. Even the breakfast bar seating is an example of the owners' attention to beautiful decor. Head out the glass door in the kitchen to the private fenced-in back patio with lounge chairs and a BBQ. Also on the main floor is a European-inspired full bath with a small stand-up shower.
Upstairs are 2 bedrooms and 1 full bath, the 2nd full bath is located on the first floor (and is a small European-style bath). There's a King bed in the Main bedroom, a Queen in the guest room and the sofa in the Den that pulls out to a full bed. There's also a flatscreen TV and sunny desk space in the Den.
Walk Score 100 - When you're ready to explore Annapolis, you are just 1/2 a block to the shops and restaurants on Main Street, 2 blocks to the waterfront and 3 blocks to the Naval Academy! While the home does not have dedicated parking, it is conveniently located, via walkway, to the Hillman garage.

We loved our stay! The house is gorgeous and charming and located right in the middle of historic Annapolis. I would certainly recommend. Instructions and responsiveness of host were clear and prompt. The only issue we ran into was some ants in the kitchen; and our host quickly helped resolve by providing traps, which was much appreciated. This is an awesome vrbo!

If you want to be right in the middle of town in a quiet property, then Carriage on Conduit is your spot! It's a cozy historic row house with plenty of space for spreading out, comfortable beds and a fully equipped kitchen and laundry. Main Street is steps away. Eastport restaurants and the Navy Stadium are walkable too. Sit on the porch with coffee in the morning or enjoy cocktails on the back deck and back yard. Either for a weekend or extended stay, you'll come back every year to this property.

The property was great and perfectly located for a fun few days in Annapolis. We would definitely come back.

Really enjoyed the walkability if the town, the history, the architecture, and the Naval Academy. Close proximity to D.C. and Georgetown for day trips!

Nowhere else you want to be. Steps away from everything, stunning touches throughout this beautiful home. Darling back patio, sweet front porch.
We rented for out of town guests coming in for a celebration of life and it served as the perfect “home base” for our family in a most important weekend.
Highly recommend!! ♥️

I've lodged at the Carriage on Conduit Street on two occasions and will definitely do so again! The house is bright, comfortable, modern with lots of historic charm. One of the best features is its walkability - its just minutes from Annapolis Harbor, lots of great restaurants, concert venue, book stores and ice cream shops! 10/10 recommend!

Excellent, convenient to Naval Academy and lovely shops and restaurants. Only missing was extra useful bathroom.

We had a wonderful time. The house was convenient to town but off the beaten path. Beautifully decorated and well equipped. Our family will definitely stay again.

Loved our stay here. The location was perfection for all USNA Reunion events! The one thing I think the listing should be MUCH more clear about is the downstairs “European style” bathroom. This is actually only mentioned in the caption of one photo. What should be made more clear is it’s a “wet bath”—similar to what you’d find in a small travel trailer. In other words, the shower is not separate from the toilet/sink and the drain is in the floor. Our group opted to only use the upstairs shower, which made things a bit tricky when everyone was getting ready for an event, but we made it work.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Would definitely use the place again

The property is so charming. It is well maintained and has all the comforts of home plus more. The furnishings and decor were beautiful. We loved sitting on the front porch taking in the old historic charm of Annapolis. We will definitely rent this home again.

I feel like this place deserves more than 5 stars: the place was immaculate, beautifully yet comfortably furnished, steps away from main street and just perfect for a quick weekend away with friends. All communication was smooth and easy. My only regret is that I didn't get a chance to try out the super cool shower room on the first level. If/when we go back, we're definitely staying here!

This property was perfect in every way. The location could not be better. It is close to everything we wanted to do. The interior is very clean and very well decorated. The attention to the needs of their guests is obvious. Our questions were either answered in the materials we received or very quickly by management. It is very close to all the “action” but still is very quite and relaxing. Would recommend and would stay again!

Carriage on Conduit was perfect. Location absolutely could not be beat. Quiet street but right around the corner from shops and restaurants. The house was clean and comfortable. Everything about it made our trip to Annapolis perfect!!

This is a sweet wonderful place to enjoy Annapolis. Well appointed and amazing location. I stayed here with my 2 sons and enjoyed time together and enough space for everyone to have their own time. Great 4th holiday.

My husband and I brought my parents and sister to Annapolis to visit our mid. The location was amazing for my 75 year old parents to get around the city. We loved sitting in the front porch and in the back yard while we grilled. This house was more beautiful than the pictures showed. It was incredibly clean and so many nicely added details. It will be forever remembered as a very special vacation.

This house was perfect for our visit to the academy. I loved the charming decor. The kitchen was perfectly well stocked to make some comfort foods like French Toast and grilled cheese. The beds were so comfy. As described, there is no en-suite so we did have to share the upstairs bathroom. The downstairs bathroom was European with toilet and shower in one. We used just as a half bath. I loved the front porch for people watching and drinking coffee.
Ok so this house is also about location location location!!! It literally is steps from Main Street. We walked in an out of Gate 1 with ease. Even though we were close to Main Street the house was still very quiet.

The location of this property was amazing! The beds were very comfortable as well as the couches in the front room! Thank you for providing us with the perfect space for our weekend away!

Historical townhouse on a quiet street near Main. Immaculate digs. Nice front porch and yard. It was perfect. Colonial vibe. Good communications with property company made for a seamless experience for my family during graduation week.

Excellent stay! We rented the home for a memorial service that was local to Annapolis, and it was perfect. The property was in great shape and the location was very convenient to downtown. We walked all around Annapolis and made a trip to DC to see the national zoo and monuments. The porch out front was the perfect place to relax with a coffee and "people watch". If we ever have the need to come back we will rent again!

Our stay in Annapolis was excellent! The house is so charming, and very well maintained and appointed. Just a great location too, a block off of Main Street, close to USNA and downtown Annapolis. The listing indicates the property sleeps six, but it would be tight for six adults (we had five in our party), as the pull-out couch is small. Also finding on-street parking is a bit of a hassle, but not unusual in downtown Annapolis as street parking is limited. We were able to secure a parking pass though and property manager communication on that was terrific. Overall a great experience!

We had a great time at a very nice historic home in Annapolis. Centrally located and perfect for walking through DTA and USNA.

Love the location and property. But there is major construction project, new parking garage, directly behind this property that starts getting activity around 6:30am.
