Very cool, historic cottages with stone interiors. They're walking distance to the main square and many historical sites.
One suggestion is to have a playground in the centre grass area! Although there is a playground in a very nearby park too.

We loved our stay at Paxton Square Cottages. The history is amazing, and they have been renovated beautifully. My son said it was the best bed he’d ever slept in - like sleeping in a cloud. Very warm and comfy! Property is in a great location - easily walkable to the main street.

My husband and I explored the historical town of Burra! It was very special to have the experience to stay in a historical place!

We enjoyed everything about Burra.
The town is beautiful with lovely trees and gardens, and the Paxton Square Gardens was very comfortable.
There is lots of history and we went for a drive to see the old mines.

It was an absolute pleasure to stay in cottages and we ran out of time visiting all the Passport Key attractions so will have to return. Such amazing history

We loved the period renovations. A real cottage feel, simple, clean, great shower, warm clean bed, shampoo and conditioner supplied, tea, coffe, milk, great price. No complaints. Would definitely recommend this place to stay for 1 night or more.

A lovely place to stay! The history of Burra is fascinating and the cottages (with its own history) are a comfortable, cosy and central place to base your stay. Thoroughly recommend staying here!

Refused to accept the name change at check in as a consequence we could not use the room we paid for

Very nice and totally unexpected. But if it hadn’t been for a local we would not have known that the caravan park has the keys.

Lovely cottages for our stay in Burra. The cottages are very spacious, clean and recently refurbished. The linen was fresh and spotlessly clean too.

Lovely experience staying here; it felt like we were stepping back in time into a very clean original cottage. Was quite large with a loungeroom, bedroom & separate kitchen and a front & back door. The TV was positioned above the fireplace and was far too high

The uniqueness was due to the age and history of the apartments. They were wonderfully comfortable and cosy. Would definitely like to stay again.

Perfect place to stay, close to all facilities and the hotel was friendly and yummy meals. Our only regret is we couldn’t stay longer.

We arrived on a Saturday and it took a while to work out where the checkin was but after that would highly recommend, in fact there is a good chance we will stay for longer on our return trip.

I loved the place! The set up, the quaint cottages, the fire pit (would have loved the opportunity to use it, will have to come back!), the history, art gallery, walks. I was only there for one night, but I made the most of it. Very comfortable, great amenities.

Wonderful place to stay. Super comfortable beds. Quiet. Owners lovely. Few minutes walk to the main shopping area. Stayed for two nights on the way north and one night on the way back south. Would definitely stay here again. Absolutely GAWJUS! 💅⭐️

Great location

Gorgeous old terrace, but with all the mod cons. Lovely and clean and an easy walk to the village centre. My only criticism was the sour smell in the bathroom which may have come from the floor drainage. Otherwise, it was a lovely place to stay and i would happily stay again in future..
