We were a family group of 21 age 2-75. We were able to find activities in the area to keep busy in spite of the rain. Mike was very responsive to any of our concerns.

The lodge was well appointed and stocked which was perfect for our family reunion of 25. The house was very functional and much has been updated! Many enjoyed the new hot tubs. I liked that there was space for us all to eat together in the dining room. The porch offered nice shade to hang.
I noticed there were two high chairs and a pack and play, although to be fair, we didn’t use them. It was nice that they were thoughtfully provided.
There was a lovely welcome basket with Fourth of July things. It was a nice touch. The owner has been very responsive and it’s been a really a great experience. We would definitely stay there again, (but our family is expanding next month and won’t all fit in the future).

With 25 in the family, this was the right spot to have a reunion. The kitchen was well equipped, and the dining room was huge. The weather was great, so most of the family went to Linville Caverns, Linville Falls, and did a float trip on the New River.
The whole house is nicely decorated. The bedrooms were roomy and comfortable. Having private baths in every room is a real plus. The new hot tubs are quite nice. Most evenings we were around the fire pit enjoying our time together. We made great memories at the Lodge.

Mike was very responsive to any questions we had before we arrived. The home is located in a community outside Boone off 105 - very convenient to attractions, stores, etc. This house is one of the most well-stocked our group has ever rented. It had everything we needed. It's located directly across from the swimming pool and tennis courts, which our group enjoyed. We had a wonderful, relaxing stay!

We are a large group who gathered to celebrate my father’s life on the 1 year anniversary of his passing. The host was phenomenal in his communication leading up to our stay. The property itself, exceeded our expectations! It was stocked with everything you could need. It was very clean, nicely decorated and so comfortable. There were many surprises, such as welcome baskets and a fully stocked coffee bar. We were close to so many area attractions. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this property for family reunions and gatherings.

We rented this house for a school reunion of 6 friends and our families. Two adults and two kids per family. The layout was fantastic with tons of bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. The girls enjoyed the twin beds w/trundles room that had a play area with a table and games. The house was well appointed and stocked. The kitchen was huge, could have used a second dishwasher. Definitely could use some more plastic/kid-friendly cups and plates. But really, there are very few things we did not have here. There was easy access to a lovely Lowe’s food store just 8 minutes away. We did the alpine roller coaster just 10 minutes away. The little kids went to Tweetsie while the rest went fishing and hiking at Julian Price park. The house was nice and comfortable, but not “fancy” so we weren’t worried about the kids knocking over a priceless lamp etc. The game room was a BIG hit! We used the community pool several times which was a good size and not crowded even during the holiday weekend. The check in and check out process were simple and not fussy. Definitely a 5 star stay, we would absolutely stay here again.

Just a fantastic house to stay for a large group of friends. Bedrooms were large with comfort and each room containing a bathroom is a big bonus. The 3 tv areas are comfortable and fire pit gives a super conversation area at night. We will retyrn

A great place to stay for large groups. Fee schedule is different, and the minimum length of stay is longer than most because it is bigger than just a house. We had a wonderful time and the space worked well for our needs.

This place was perfect. It was actually larger than I thought it was going to be. Kitchen was huge and well stocked (although a few of the pots & pans should probably be replaced). Everything was super clean and organized. Bedrooms were roomy, comfortable, and it's such a nice bonus for each one to have a fully stocked bathroom. Mike's communication was prompt and friendly. The trail next to the building was a little underwhelming, but is a nice short hike. Overall, I feel like this place is spectacular and will probably be booking again in the future.

We had 16 people for a 80th birthday celebration and the house was well suited for lots of people with different family configurations. I also loved that there were several areas to hang out and room for everyone to sit down for a meal together. Would recommend this property.

We stayed at the house a couple years ago before the current owner took over. House was nicely updated and clean. New beds were very comfortable and game room a hit with the kids. Great house for a larger group with a big kitchen for eating and hanging out. Location is convenient to everything in Boone and Banner Elk.

This house and location was perfect for our group. The house was fully stocked with anything you would need. There was plenty of room for eating and playing card games. The owner, Mike was wonderful to work with and made the whole process effortless. We even got to see snow so that was an added bonus.

This gorgeous & spacious home is perfect for large families of all ages. Mike is a gracious host and has made every effort to provide the extras that make your stay as comfortable as possible such as nice artwork, fully stocked kitchen utensils/dishes, several master bedrooms, upgraded furniture & bedding, even a great children’s playroom & game room that keep kids engaged. If a question arose, Mike was very responsive & flexible with our requests. Our family found the mt. lodge a lovely place for pool/swimming, hiking, relaxing by firepit, & drinking coffee or wine on large front porch. This was the perfect setting for my parents’ 60th anniversary celebration! Thank you, Mike!

Exceptional stay, home, and host! The home was absolutely beautiful and exceeded our expectations. The proximity to hiking trails, nearby pool, and amenities were amazing. We had a large group with lots of kids and they had a blast in the backyard and the game room. Mike’s responsive was prompt and friendly. I highly recommend this stay, the pictures can’t fully describe this home.

It’s was a great property. Close to the ski slopes and fit everyone comfortably

We enjoyed our stay, everyone in the group really liked the house! comfortable beds, new furniture/fixtures/appliances, very clean and spacious. we all loved the dining room with 2 large tables that could accommodate huge group all at once. (hard to find homes with such set up). we particularly liked that the game room/pool table were on the main floor, didn’t have to go to the basement to check up on the kids like other houses we’ve stayed at. Mike is very responsive and tries his best to work with you and make your stay comfortable. He definitely put some thought into designing this vacation house! some details we appreciated: kleenex boxes in every room, paper towels/napkins in the kitchen & dining area, fully stocked toiletries including toilet paper, kitchen fully equipped with pots/pans, cups/dishes, towels, etc. the coffee bar was also very nice! we definitely recommend this house for large groups!!

This rental was a “hit” with our family. Everyone was pleased. We were celebrating a family birthday. There was plenty of room for cooking and dining. We liked that every bedroom as a bathroom.
4.9
The home was perfect for our large group of 14 adults. Every couple had their own bedroom and bathroom, which is a rare find. The kitchen was well-stocked, and even had two large coffee stations. The home was meticulously decorated for fall. The location was incredibly convenient to get to several fun restaurants and breweries in both Banner Elk and Boone. When we had an issue figuring out how to use the fireplace, Mike, the owner, responded very quickly to our multiple late night messages requesting help. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely visit again!

Great house for a large group. Plenty of space for everyone to spread out!

This year, with new owner, the house is absolutely the best it has been with new beds, paint, lots of extra amenities, etc. We love the large fire pit. The house is very convenient to the parkway, Grandfather Mtn, Banner Elk (with skiing and Alpine coaster), Boone, and Blowing Rock (Tweetsie and lots of shopping) and many walking trails! It is a great house to come "home" to at the end of the day!

Our church Womens group recently stayed at Blue Mountain Lodge. It was one of the best homes we have stayed in. The host was very attentive and accommodating. It is a beautiful home and has everything you could possibly need. The beds were all comfortable Kitchen was well supplied. The home was very clean inside and out. We would definitely stay again

Beautiful location and surroundings for 9 BR, 10 bath lodge. Beautifully decorated and clean with huge kitchen, appliance for serving large numbers. We had 14 adults and 2 children with one rainy day and plenty of room and activities to accommodate the weather. Very comfortable for all. Loved the children’s bedroom with two trundle beds and nice play area. Game room with Fuzzball Table and cabinet for game lovers. Conveniently located to famous Grandfather’s Mt, N.C.

The house was great for my family reunion! We love that every bedroom has its own bathroom and we could tell that the place was recently remodeled - a lot of the furniture was brand new. We gathered around the fire pit in the evening and made smores. We loved the game room! The foosball table and Pac-Man brought me back to my childhood.
The location was easy to get to with no mountain driving from Charlotte, and really convenient to a lot of activities in Boone, Banner Elk, and Blowing Rock. As a host, Mike went above and beyond to accommodate us. The towels and sheets were new and clean, and the shampoo and soap were provided, which has not always been the case when we have visited the mountains.
This was a great place to stay for our family reunion and highly recommend it!

The house was awesome, spacious and well laid out. Everyone in the group of 14 commented on how great the house was and it was perfect for our annual friends weekend away. Bedrooms were perfect and the kitchen was exceptional with everything that we needed to cook meals and just have a great time. Mike, the host, was excellent to work with and very responsive to any question I had prior to arrival. I highly recommend this place as a great place to stay and enjoy time away.

The property provide us with an outstanding family union of 22. Each bedroom had it’s own in suite bathroom and everyone enjoyed the video and pool table games and my younger grandchildren really enjoyed the community swimming pool. The two dinning room tables provided room for all 22 of my family members. The highlight for us was singing and making S’Morse around the large fire pit which also had room for all 22 family members. We can also not give enough praise to our host, Mike. Mike came through with

We loved our stay.

The first evening there, we loaded and ran the dishwasher after our first meal. In the morning we found, it did not work. I called the owner, and within only a few hours, the plumber, under direction of the owner, had installed a brand new replacement. Service like that is rare! I would highly recommend this property! Our experience was as advertized, and beyond! Thank you!!

We LOVE this property so much. This was our second time staying as a family of 25 people ages 18 months - 79 years old. We had plenty of space to move around and be separated if we needed it. The upgrades were great and little touches were very personal. Felt like you were in a hotel almost with the addition of shampoo/conditioner/ soap dispensers and everything we needed ! Kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to cook- but I did buy and donate a crockpot to the property! Easy to get to Boone, Valle Crucis, Banner Elk and Blowing Rock area. My favorite Grandfather Mountain Winery 2 minutes away! Beautiful views from the front porch! I can’t say enough how special this place is! Feels like a second home.

Even better than we expected. We had a blast

This was our second visit to Blue Ridge Mountain Lodge. The current owner has made some huge improvements to the place that took what might have been a rained out vacation and help turn it into a magical one. This place is perfect for large multi-family gatherings, lots of seating spaces & plenty of bathrooms and rooms.
The new editions of the coffee center, game room, updated furniture were well appreciated and utilized as we had some pretty constant rain throughout the week. Talent shows, puzzle making, and plenty of food and food prep occurred.
We really enjoyed the place and truly appreciate how easy it was to talk to the owner and ask questions and how fast he responded.
4.9
We found the rental to be very comfortable. We had a few days of rain and the kids stayed entertained in the gameroom. We all enjoyed being able to have our own space. The beds were super comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. Was a quiet community.
4.9
We have been staying at this property for at least 5 years. It was much cleaner and spruced up this time. The hospitality baskets were nice.

This house was PERFECT for large family. It's hard to find a house with enough bedrooms for our family, but this place was it. And each bedroom had its own bathroom, which was amazing. There is plenty of seating in the dining room and the kitchen was huge. With 2 fridges and 2 stoves and a well stocked kitchen, it had everything we needed. The kids enjoyed walking the "Lost Ski Area" trail and learning that the house is the site of an old ski lodge. The washer and dryer were nice and big. And the kids had a blast in the back yard. We even made a fire in the fire pit one night. The house was perfectly clean when we arrived and nothing was lacking. Mike was a perfect host and responded quickly when I asked him questions. There was plenty of parking too. We had an incredible experience and can't wait to go back.
