Great and helpful staff, 1 min walk to the beach and lots of shops nearby.

No AC. Fan doesn’t help during hot and humid weather

I just stayed 2 nights at Casa Umoja. It isn’t a place with all the frills but that is exactly what I was looking for. There is a lot of greenery on the compound and it has all the basics that one needs. Definitely reasonably priced especially when you consider that it includes breakfast. A fruits plate with an assortment of 6-8 local fruits and then some continental breakfast food like eggs and toast. The owners are on site and helpful with answering questions. The best part is that the beach is a minute walk away. Perfectly situated and cool vibes.

The accomodation is reasonably priced and convenient. My wife and I being seniors need a bit more in amenities. Like AC. Very difficult to sleep at night. Our 10 night stay was a bit long. Staff, including Bayu were excellent and we enjoyed the dogs. Breakfast was reasonably good.

This guesthouse is great for family trip and just one minute walking to the beautiful beach. It's definitely worthy for the stay. Staff is very friendly even though it was very late check in due to flight delay. My stay was GREAT!

Very friendly owners and staff, beautiful set up, just a minute walk to the beach. The location felt very secluded and safe. Especially appreciated the detailed guest book with info and expectations. Rooms are all pretty close together with screens but no glass in the windows, so sound can be an issue, especially if other guests are partying.

The hotel staff were so friendly. The breakfast every morning was so fresh and delicious. Rooms were nice. Many hammocks to relax on. Walking distance to everything. I left my wallet in Stone Town and the guy from the hotel was going so he picked it up for me and brought it back. He refused to take money for doing it too!
