The rooms are rather quirky and give the impression of being not that clean. Carpets are not a good idea! The staff were friendly and efficient. The rooms were very cold and there was no heating on overnight.

Clean and friendly place. Lovely king bed. Unfortunately the external lights that light up the building were right outside the bedroom window, we was hoping they’d be turned off when the bar/restaurant closed but they weren’t… it was like having daylight shine through the curtains the whole night which effected our sleep massively. Room 25 for anyone interested.

Very comfortable stay. I will definitely stay at the Carre Arms again if I am in the area.

The bedding and bathroom was clean but the cushioned top on the dressing table stool was filthy and the furniture was very tired and old
Needs updating

Good for me in terms of location. Quiet, friendly and efficient staff. Room a bit dated but no big deal for me.

All the staff were very friendly and attentive. Particularly the owners who spent time with us over breakfast.
The hotel has a lot history and we were shown around behind the general public areas.
Whilst the bedrooms have not been brought into the present day, and are somewhat retro, they are comfortable, clean and warm.
Would definitely stop here again.
The restaurant/ bistro is a must. Cask beer was faultless.

We stayed here for a wedding we were attending locally.
Very comfortable, friendly staff and a lovely breakfast.

The Carre Arms Hotel is well situated for access to Sleaford.
We only had limited interaction with the staff but they were friendly. The room was large and clean and the bed was comfortable. It did look a little dated and could do with a bit of TLC but this didn't negatively impact our stay.
Were weren't there long enough to use the bar or restaurant so can't comment on those. The hotel is right next to a railway line and close to Sleaford station so from our room you could hear every train that passed.
We would stay here again if in this area.

The hotel has a very 'cosy and country' ambience, with a wonderful log fire in the back bar and a stunning, central 'Victorian courtyard'.
The Owners and staff were lovely, very helpful and friendly.
The bedroom was a little dated but very clean and comfortable, with the usual amenities.

The hotel staff were great. The room was small and needs updating. The bed mattress needs replacing as not vet comfy and the same about the pillows. Overall we found it adequate and not worth the expense.

No one at reception which had a fusty smell mixed with furniture polish and air freshener
Pressed the buzzer and receptionist rushed through check in when checking I had booked via Hotels.com and was quite abrupt regarding the payment they receive by advertising on Hotels.com - but my booking is 1 more than they would have had if it hadn't come up on my search of the area. The receptionist wasn't happy that I had booked room only either but I had to leave early.
I wish I'd gone across the road to the supermarket and picked up some food rather than ordering Rump Steak and a Lime and Soda. The Rump steak turned out to be warmed up slices of beef with lumpy mashed potato and I was charged £3.45 for the Lime and Soda which was marked as "Bar" on my bill, when I queried the price with the receptionist (now the waitress taking payment)said its right it the way of the world, expensive - I replied greedy more like but paid the bill because I was made to feel awkward and argumentative. The room was not very clean with dust in corners of the wooden shelf and the wooden dressing table and mirror. I won't be booking this miserable place again via Hotels.com and definitely not directly. Assuming the receptionist / waitress is the owner. If not then the owner needs to be aware of the rude member of staff overcharging guests who will never book via any hotel site and definitely not book direct

My fault as I didn't check in time which was restrictive to 8pm. Ruined my stay as I was delayed by traffic.

Quick one night stay visiting family in the area. This seems to be the only hotel in Sleaford! (Apart from the horrid Travelodge on Holdingham Roundabout.) Staff seemed very switched on and welcoming, our room was very nice and clean. We were concerned we might be disturbed by noise from the railway or the kitchen extractor unit outside our window, but there was no noise from either by bedtime and we had a great night's sleep. The bar/restaurant looked nice, we would like to try it sometime. We had to rush off in the morning or else we would have taken the lovely manager (owner?) up on her offer of coffee.

This was a great little find, certainly one we'd use again - great Comfy beds as well the evening food was superb and the service was perfect - Thank you to Lisa and her team.

All was ok but the WiFi didn’t work initially and the receptionist couldn’t sort until her manager was back and she wasn’t sure when that would be and there were only 2 sockets in the whole room so had to decide whether to charge items, watch tv or use kettle

Great location, staff all very polite and friendly. Some of the towels could do with being retired and a tumble dryer used on the others - they were not soft at all.

It’s very near the town centre,so only about 10 minutes walk. It is on a road near to the railway station but only minimal noise.
However, when I booked didn’t realise breakfast wasn’t included when booking with Expedia, and thought £12 per person for it was a bit dear.

Bedlinen clean but there was a dusty smell in room and somewhat bad odour from duvet - not pleasant!

The personal service by the owners was excellent. It made the trip a great experience.

Snotty "deputy manager" / receptionist demanding a credit card from our employee who was the guest in case of "breakages". Shows the class if hotel if concerned about the regular occurance of breakages. We book over 500 hotel rooms per year and rarely encounter this poor service for our employees. The hotel also requested we cancel the Hotels.com booking and book "direct". We didn't and instead choose to pay direct to Hotels.com instead of paying locally at the hotel.

Very local to the town centre
Rooms clean and pleasant to stay in
