One of a kind with stunning collection of horse art and racing trophies.
Most pleasant and helpful staff in this private and illustrious club. Breakfast is a must and if you like fish, the kippers are the real thing!
Ideally situated for eating out within easy walking distance.

Fabulous stay at The Jockey Rooms. Room 11 had lovely views of the grounds where we saw the horses being walked round in the morning. The biggest bathroom and a superb breakfast. Perfect location for Newmarket racecourse. I can’t wait to return.

Absolutely outstanding in every way - rooms, staff, breakfast, grounds, parking, location. Couldn't have asked for a better experience.
Only slight downside prior to travel was receiving an email listing all the clothing we weren't allowed to wear. No trainers, for example, which was a bit tricky. We wished we'd been forewarned of this on their website, or perhaps we were and we didn't read it thoroughly enough. Did mean that everyone arrived for breakfast suitably attired though - and needed to be with the air con going full blast.

Our first time staying here and we really enjoyed our room (Hyperion). There was lots of space and with the high ceiling in the warm weather the room still felt very airy. We also had a lovely breakfast in a relaxed environment. Aspects of the Jockey Club are quirky such as the bar and checking in/out process but present no real issues. If you need to be in Newmarket you could not wish for a better location. We have already tried to book to stay again but no rooms available on dates we required, but we will keep trying.

Excellent hotel, top class, full of art and history , i cant wait to go back next time in Newmarket for the races.

Lovely bay windowed room with garden views and enormous bathroom. We booked the upgraded room and the main difference to our friends standard room seemed to be the room location and the size of and facilities in the bathroom (we had twin washbasins, large bath, separate large shower, bidet, wc). The breakfast was very good. Plenty of parking. No dinner facilities or bar, but close to lots of bars and restaurants in the town.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Jockey Club rooms. I received a warm welcome on arrival and kindly guided to my room. My room was great with wonderful view of the garden and beyond to the church. The bathroom was good and the bed was comfortable. Everything I needed. Breakfast was very good in splendid surroundings to make a good start to the day. Very interesting paintings and photographs on the walls. It was a delight to stay at the Jockey Club and hopefully I can stay there again when in the area. Thank you to all the staff at the Jockey Club who made my stay special.

Lovely service and excellent breakfast. Pillows could have been firmer. We would definitely stay again but request a room further from the road as pub opposite had loud music until midnight and subsequent traffic noise.

Lovely rooms, helpful and friendly staff, right in the center of Newmarket. They are often fully booked, but if you can get a room, especially during racing season, it is well worth it.
