Lovely grounds
Ridden with spiders, no welcome at all from the host, key kept getting stuck in the lock, no full length mirror, very dusty, really basic.

It is one of the best looking places I’ve stayed the main house was outstanding looking will go back
It was so quiet just what the doctor ordered

Gardens and grounds are wonderful - lovely to be able to wander freely.
Bedroom was comfortable with an excellent bed.
Bathroom very good.
People were all very nice.
The room is on the ground floor and looks out onto the cafe patio - it could do with half height shutters to give privacy from tea drinkers.
A second arm chair would be nice

No Breakfast provided
The room needs a fridge

The breakfast was excellent for those who wanted a "full English", but less so for anyone wanting a healthy buffet with fruit etc. The gardens were stunning for the winter season.
The bedroom was comfortable but very sparsely furnished, to the extent that there was only one chair. We were confined to the room for a time by the extreme weather, which couldn't be helped.

Lovely new conversion of outbuildings. Done to a very high specification. Literally in the middle of the most gorgeous English laid out garden. Surrounded by beauty and fresh air. So peaceful and relaxing. Utterly unique setting with matching quality.
Nothing.

Lovely, peaceful and quiet country estate setting with very picturesque gardens to stroll around and enjoy. The staff were very helpful with some excellent restaurant recommendations in the local area.
Breakfast was good and cooked fresh.
There was nothing to criticise.

Beautiful setting, lovely rooms and a very comfy bed, which is the most important thing for me.
Would definitely like to go back in the summer to make use of the gorgeous courtyard.
The ladies at breakfast were also amazing.
Thank you for a lovely stay.

Lovely to have the veggie garden to ourselves and a walk through the garden was gorgeous.
The girls who did breakfast did a sterling job of a full English
A map of the garden in the room would've been helpful as well as maybe a list of recommended local eateries for dinner.

Beautiful grounds and lovely location.
The bedroom didn’t seem like it had been cleaned prior to our arrival- we found someone else’s hair in the bathroom, spiders in every corner of the room. The king size bed base was broken, and the finishings were looking very tired.
The bed did not feel fresh or clean- I hardly slept as was very uncomfortable. Really disappointing- I have stayed in much better accommodation for 1/4 of the price.

A unique stay. You are staying in the grounds of Chippenham Hall. The garden of Chippenham Hall is just amazing. It's huge, and amazingly well cared for. There cannot be many like this in the UK.
The room itself was super comfy, and along side the potting garden - which is alive and well - with loads of fruits and veg being grown right outside your window.
The breakfast was extremely tasty - and cooked, on the day we were there (I hope for their sake they have help on some days) by the husband and wife team who own the estate and who were really friendly.
Nothing.

The rooms are spacious with comfortable furniture and the gardens are awesome
I knew from previous stays that the hot water is red hot but I remembered to add the cold

Lovely room. Breakfast was really nice.
The gardens off the main estate were overgrown. Multiple spiders and spider webs present in room and dead bug in cup. Breakfast was meant to be served at 9am - we sat down at 9am and didn't get offered tea or coffee until after 20 minutes. Only asked if we wanted breakfast at 9.30 (it was stated that a cooked breakfast would be served at 9 so this was expected). Didn't receive breakfast until 9.45 - giving us less than 15 minutes to enjoy and eat our breakfast and vacate our room. Couldn't enjoy breakfast due to feeling rushed to leave. Only one person cooking and serving even though there were 5 couples. Didn't have time to shower due to breakfast taking so long. Customer service wasn't great - weren't asked if we had a nice time, practically ignored when returning key. The information leaflet in the room stated breakfast at 9 and to check-out and leave the site by 10. Very rushed and an unpleasant end despite the price. If we had known breakfast would have taken so long or that we could turn up for breakfast nearer 10am instead of 9am we defintely would have been better prepared to leave and had a more relaxing end to our stay.
