The lady that helped me and Jonathon were both so sweet. Went above and beyond every step of the way. Make you feel comfortable and right at home which is saying something for a single white female alone on the islands/ Panama in general! Asked if I needed ride from ferry, Room, breakfast, transportation, everything was ningún problema! Will be back!
Only thing that could have been better was hot water in shower. Lukewarm at best but to be expected as it is so remote and I know they have limited plumbing on the island.

Bed was uncomfortable

The breakfast was varied, really tasty with nice service staff. Beautiful and empty beaches a few steps from the accommodation. A beautiful place to relax. Helpful owner and his wife, tasty food at an affordable price.

Gerald’s Hotel was excellent!! Everything we needed for a short break away ,the breakfast was continental style ,fresh fruit followed by eggs (done as you wanted)toast ,butter and jam ,we loved the homemade bread , also juice coffee and tea , enough to set you up for the day . The room was very nice if simple ,but you needed no more .The staff were very friendly and on hand if you needed anything . We hired a golf cart for 1 day ,Gerald arranged this for us . We wished we had stayed longer ,and will definitely return .
Nothing not to like ,EXCELLENT.

We were met at the ferry dock and shuttled to the hotel for check-in. The ferry schedules run a bit opposite of normal hotel check-in and out hours, but our room was ready for as at 10:00 AM. The restaurant/bar is open air and we found the food and drinks to be excellent. It is a bit more expensive than on the mainland but consider that everything has to be transported to this island. The room was comfortable. A/C worked well. Hot water was more warmish than hot but acceptable for showering. Daily maid service was included as was breakfast consisting of coffee, fresh fruit, juices, and eggs prepared to order. The place is walking distance to many eateries, a mini-market, and the best beach on the island is just short walk down the hill and around the corner. If you rent a golf cart or UTV, 3-4 hours will be plenty as the island is very small and we only found 5 beaches to be accessible, 3 of which are walkable from the hotel.
A few chairs outside our room would have been nice.

everything was good.

Isla contadora is a great place, so small we tour it in an hour, in the little buggy we rented. All beaches are beautiful, and we discovered some untouched by men when cruising with David around the islands. Avoid Gianluca’s restaurant, overrated and much too expensive.
Sit on the patio, look at the animals grazing, enjoy the small planes landing, have a good drink and relax. Gerald’s staff is so warm and welcoming, we laughed and had a wonderful start of the holidays thanks to them.
We thought Gerald initially a little grumpy but he warmed up and was very helpful to all each one of us

Gerald picked us up and dropped us off at the Ferry dock. Very friendly staff with decent restaurant.
The building is older and maintenance is a challenge in such a remote location.

The room was clean and very comfortable, the breakfast delicious. The restaurant lady (Karla) is very friendly and made us feel welcome.
Playa Galeon is very close to the hotel, probably a 4 minute walk ;)
The water pressure was not the best but it might be a general issue in the island

Breakfast was amazing - eggs whichever way you like freshly made every morning, juice, toasts and fresh fruits. I have stayed 5 times at this place before and Gerald himself has always picked up guests arriving by ferry. The restaurant/bar run by the same owner is also very good, totally recommend staying here.
On a separate note, some of the nicest beaches on the island are less than 5-10 minutes walking from the hotel.

The staff were pleasant, nice, helpful and talkative.
The breakfast was delicious.
The location is about a fifteen-minute walkaway from the marina where the ferry stops, but the hotel is a four-minute walkaway from Playa Larga.
The sea water was warm at the beach.
I had no major issues with the hotel where I stayed.
The WiFi did not work in the hotel room, it only worked in the communal area, where the restaurant was.
The shower water was cold and not very powerful.
For me, I felt there was not a lot to do on Contadora Island in terms of activities, other restaurants to eat at or bars or outdoor activities - I would highly advise visiting and travelling to Bocas Del Toro, where there are many restaurants, bars and more outdoor activities to do.

Great place to stay for a relatively affordable rate, at least by local standards. Owner was nice and the location was great.
The staff could have been a little more attentive during mealtimes. Noise from the airstrip wasn’t great but infrequent enough to be fine. It’s a small island :)

- Gerald was very nice! He also cooks in his own restaurant and the dishes were delicious. He could even accommodate my need for lactose free food
- Location: close to the 2 beaches in Isla Contadora and the centre of the town (other restaurants, supermarket, etc)

Super nice location, and even nicer staff. Big room, with good amenities. The beds are large, and the room is well equipped.
Generous breakfast, and delicious.
Dalia is amazing, really helpful and friendly.
The swimming pool wasn’t in its best condition or even unusable.

Great location 2 min walk to two lovely beaches. The room was nice and big. Everything is clean and the atmosphere is chill. There are deers and hummingbirds just outside. The restaurant is good and the staff are very nice!
There are small cracks to the next room, so you can every word. There are parots in a cage that are noisy in the morning. But we would definitely stay there again.

I liked the staff. They were all very attentive and friendly. The hotel is located 5 mins walking to the Playa Larga.
The onwers picked me up from the new ferry station. The breakfast is good. The have like coffee, fruits and eggs. They also have a menu for lunch and dinner. They have an air conditioner in the room and also water. They left an umbrella for the sun in every room.
The facilities of the toilet. They don't have a window ventilation.

This is a charming beach house style of lodging; you know the type of place where one doesn't assign stars.
Let's start with reception where the restaurant and bar are also located. It screams tropical with the flowering trees and beautiful plantings.
The food has generous portions with fresh, homemade entrees. Food and beverages are moderately priced. Our stay had breakfast included. The breakfast cook is excellent and so is her food. Coffee and tea are self service.
We had a room with two double beds, a bath with shower, television, air conditioning, shelves for storage, and closet. It worked fine for two single women sharing the space. The room is a bit smaller than many in Panama City. Outside our room door was a hammock.
There is a roof top seating area with tables and chairs and a small
Tradeoffs include this being a three minute walk to Playa Larga (beach where the Sea Las Perlas Ferry arrives to the Island, one of the best beaches here. Since my last visit there is a restaurant on the beachfront (sells beer and soft drinks) as well as a vendor with daily rental of beach chairs at $5 each and umbrella at $5.
The staff here gets an A+.
We liked everything.

The location is excellent (only about 100 metres to a perfect beach) and the staff was wonderful!
The resident parrots woke us up too early in the morning.
