Like staying in Narnia

This guest house is situated in a first floor apartment that has been converted to multiple en suite bedrooms. It has an inner courtyard where breakfast is served and you can sit and relax. The courtyard is quiet and away from the hustle and bustle. Wifi is a little temperamental. Our room looked over the street and felt very traditional. Every morning when I opened the shutters I felt an urge to sing ‘ O sole mio’. Which my husband kindly asked me not to. There is a lift from the landing but it is an unusually quaint old fashioned cage style lift with not much room. The bathroom is large with a shower. Why the Narnia comment you ask. Well our room was situated behind the 1st floor lobby and was originally accessed by a large door there. This was not in use and the wardrobe in our room blocked it. To access our room we had to go through a door which could be mistaken for a wardrobe if you didn’t know. It then opened into a spacious high ceiling room like a secret world. The bed was comfortable but it had a memory foam topping which is a pet hate of mine. Although I didn’t notice any obvious issue with mattress I did keep finding myself roll to the centre. Perhaps I’m just used to an expensive one. The location is good and accessible to all areas of Rome, whether you want to walk or use public transport. There are several restaurants nearby including Andrea’s which is a nice place to relax after a full day walking round the sights of Rome. Livia and Marco were very helpful with plenty of advice on where to go.

Unfortunately the only place to put bottles was on the floor below the shower. I hit my head a couple of times bending down to retrieve. The shower needs a shelf higher up. Although I didn’t notice any obvious issue with mattress I did keep finding myself roll to the centre. Perhaps I’m just used to an expensive one. The first impressions can be off putting as it is a large door off the street with several steps leading to a landing where the lift is. People with accessibility issues may have a problem.

Perfect for travellers, particular those travelling solo

Livia is respectful, caring and attentive. The entire room was incredibly clean, tidy and had minimal noise. Delicious breakfast on the beautiful terrace. I felt instantly safe as soon as I arrived. Location was perfect to explore the amazing city. Everything within walkable distance.

Perfect for Solo Travellers!

I love how accommodating they were, let me drop my bags off and check in early. Made me really comfortable on my first trip aboard showing me a map of Rome and the best places. Breakfast was fabulous too!

My WiFi wasn't the best in my room however I didn't find this affected me too much.

Lovely guesthouse with breakfast terrace not far from Termini station

We had a great stay at the guesthouse. The terrace was magnificent for enjoying the delicious breakfast. You can reach various bus and metro lines relatively fast, and there are a lot of great restaurants around the corner. The welcome and tips by the owner were exceptionally friendly and helpful in getting around the city. The room was very nicely decorated and clean. We highly recommend it!

The WiFi speed in our room was quite slow, so better use a mobile connection if possible. Also, the doors are relatively narrow :)

A comfy place to stay while exploring Rome. It is close to great restaurants and attractions.

There was a beautiful breakfast on the terrace, the bed linins are incredibly comfortable, and the hosts are sooo helpful.

No complaints it was a great stay.

A lovely guesthouse with a clean and quiet room, centrally located, very good breakfast and super nice hosts. Would definitely recommend!

My only minor complaint is that the bed was super hard, but it hardly drags down the overall impression.

Overall great. i will visit again

I loved the guest house owners they were super nice. It is also near a main metro and train station easy to go back to airport just by walk to the station. There are many restaurants to eat around as well.

Nothing but there was a small chance I might miss the check in time...check in times are sometimes impossible to stick to because we never know how an airplane would get delayed or what other factors might be around to cause a delay

Perfect and authentic stay in Rome

Livia and Marco welcomed me very kindly and gave me information and recommendations regarding public transportation, sightseeing, restaurants, etc. They were also available in Whatsapp for any kind of questions. The room was very clean. Thanks to its central location the guest house is perfect if you do not have much time to visit Rome. Also the Guest House is located in a very safe area. As a woman travelling alone, I felt safe in this area. I would definitely book again a room at Babbo Guest House when back in Rome. Grazie Livia e Marco!

The exceptionel service and care from the hosts. Livia and Marco are really nice people. Always here to answer my questions, giving me tips and advices of the cuty to make journey very pleasant. The breakfasts are geeat and varied. the location is very well located, feeling safe in the evening. 10 mins from train station 3 mins walk from bus station 25 mins walk to borghese garden

the bed isn’t that comfortable and the pilows. Bed sheets could be improved.

Wonderful Long Weekend in Rome

Small and friendly much better than a faceless branded hotel. Delicious breakfast served each morning. On a great street just outside the main tourist areas with quality and inexpensive restaurants along it, lots of locals eating in these, always a good sign. Hosts provided us with an excellent map pointing out the best directions to walk. Fabulous will be recommending to family & friends.

Excellent stay and a very warm welcome to Italy

The breakfast was great each day, served up on the lovely terrace. Fresh pastries and fruit and delicious coffee! The hosts were very helpful and friendly and assisted with planning the day and the best ways to get around. Very central location and close to the Borghese museum and park. Lots of good food and gelato nearby too !

Lovely hists and homely atmosphere. And the perfect terrasse! Breakfast was very generous for Italian standard :)

The only thing I struggled a bit was shower with ceiling blender only.

Good authentic accommodation in Rome

- Perfect experience! with an amazing helpful staff (Livia and Marco). - The house is so comfortable, wide and clean. Very positive ambient. - Authentic Room decoration. - Breakfast is excellent! - You feel at home, very welcomed from the check-In till the checkout. - Very strategic location, near the 2 main metro stations and in the city center. - the area is not noisy at all. Much recommend!

The accommodations were excellent and the hosts/owners went the extra mile to help identify key areas to explore in the city while I was visiting. As well, the included breakfast was amazing! Would highly recommend their accommodations in the future.

There was some minor miscommunication about check-in time but all was resolved in a timely manner.
