We had a lovely time at this hotel- excellent service, lovely dinner and brilliant breakfast. Comfortable bed and had everything we needed. Would definitely come back.

Checked in late for an overnight stay travelling on the day after. Very accomodating and good communication, large car park. Room was a nice size with a coffee machine with pods. Breakfast in the morning was lovely, cooked breakfast with continental which comes with the room

Very friendly welcome at the Camden Arms. The room was well appointed and comfortable, with the exception of some dust was clean. We ate breakfast and evening meals here & both were excellent and great value. Again staff were very friendly & welcoming. Will definitely return when in Kent again

Very comfortable bed (both times we have stayed) and excellent breakfast. Comfortable room and clean, modern bathroom with good quality towels. Shower pressure rather variable in the morning. Friendly staff and lovely young woman who served our breakfast. Would stay again.

Only here for one night, but can strongly recommend.
Stayed in the 4-poster room and had dinner at the hotel.
This is a pub with rooms in the annex. Main building is quite old-fashioned and a little quirky. Lots on pictures, model cars and bookshelves.
Very friendly and excelllent service. Dinner and breakfast very good.
Would definitely recommend if you're in the area.

The staff were helpful. The bed room was small but the bathroom was excellent. The kitchen staff were very efficient and the breakfast was delicious. Recommended.

There was nothing we did not like, the staff, facilities, cleanliness, food, drink, everything was to a very high standard, we were not surprised to see the multitude of awards. The best hotel stay we've had in a long time. We will be back.

Stayed here for one night whilst working in Wadhurst. The check-in process was easy.
The room was clean and spacious. I was in room 1 which was a disabled friendly room - Room had a Nespresso Coffee Machine which was a nice plus. The shower curtain at the base was a little black but other than that the room was clean.
The food was also really good - I had the fish and chips for dinner. Breakfast was also really good offering plenty of options outside of a full english including waffles and bagels.

Convenient, clean and good service. ideal for an overnight stay

This is an excellent hotel. We were well received on check in and throughout our stay. The room and facilities were very good, large room, comfortable bed and very functional ensuite with a brilliant shower. Breakfast menu was comprehensive, with friendly speedy service and delicious. Overall - very high standard at reasonable cost.

Pleasant stay but not great , marks on wall , cobwebs in room, dirty carpet. Ok amenities tv, kettle , shampoo and shower gel . Ideal for a 1 night stop over as convenient location. Breakfast satisfactory. Good value

A comfortable stay, good breakfasts, shame there's no rooms with a bath

Location was great. Room nice. Great breakfast. Really friendly staff.

Standard double room was just about big enough. This place has spent a fortune on good beds, substantial but dark and old fashioned furniture, ornate mirrors, and artwork everywhere. Somehow it just wasn’t a place we would want to go back to.
Very extensive pub menu, we liked all that we ate, and excellent breakfast too.

Good value. Breakfast is good. Staff are friendly and helpful.

The property was a typical inn, restaurant area with oak beams. The room was well equipped and clean. Staff friendly and courteous and the food - evening meal plenty of choice and well cooked. Breakfast was served rather than buffet and freshly cooked a nice change from the larger corporate hotel groups. Happy to recommend to friends.

Enjoyable stay- excellent food and drink. Some staff (more junior ones) were very friendly and helpful but overall this area could be improved by some of more senior team! Room was fine- we had 4 poster and facilities adequate. Location was good.

Nice clean airy rooms. Helpful staff. Good breakfast. Good easy parking.

Great place to stay and breakfast was superb x we also had an exceptional evening dinner there too. Rooms were beautiful and spotless. Staff were great we arrived early for breakfast and were offered hot drinks .. good stay

A lovely pub with accommodation. The rooms are situated away from the actual bar / restaurant area so there were no noise issues . On our arrival everything was explained, booking in was easy , we were shown to our room and facilities explained. Our room was a large twin with a great accessable en suit . I explained that we may be returning late and was informed there was a separate keycard entrance that could be accessed at any time. Although we didn't use it there looked to be a lovely garden . We booked breakfast for the following morning. The waiting staff were excellent and helpful. I have to say my breakfast was one of the best I've had in a hotel for a long time . We stayed for a family party nearby and when visiting family again I would certainly stay here again .

Lovely clean and spacious hotel with very friendly happy staff. The food was amazing too.We would definitely go back!

From the moment we arrived Carol made us feel welcomed. She showed us to our room and explained meals times. She made us feel so at home.
The room was cosy and decorated in the style of the coaching inn. Dark furnishings and a king sized bed. Lots of drawers to store clothes and a good sized wardrobe too. Lovely modern shower room with hand wash, body wash and shampoo products provided.
Ironing board, hair dryer, trouser press and tea and coffee making facilities, tv and bottled water also provided
Bar and restaurant areas were in keeping with a coaching inn and there was a large outside area with tables and seating. Perfect for a warm evening.
Menu and quality of food was outstanding and add to that the friendliness of all the staff, every meal was a treat. Breakfast was included and plenty of options to choose from.
Location perfect for seeing castles, gardens and Chatham Docks and even close enough to go to the seaside only 90 minutes away.
We had a really lovely stay here and we will be returning. Thank you all at the Camden Arms. A real jewel.

Lovely staff and the beds were comfortable. Room was very musty. Wouls have liked a hair dryer but they did have a towel warmer.

Excellent base for exploring the area. Staff were super helpful and polite. Had a REALLY creaky bed on the first night so didn’t get much sleep. Told staff the following morning and we were moved straight away.

Our stay began with an awkward check in where we had to wait with our bags at the bar of the pub area while busy staff served customers until the host was able to check us in. Later on during the two evenings we ate at the hotel we were unable to have coffee because the machine was turned off before our meal had ended and before the time the end of meals were advertised by the venue. On the second occasion I asked why this was and was informed that it was because of the cost of running the machine. At breakfast the machine was on and we were told that coffee from this machine was only available to family members and not customers and only general coffee was included in our breakfast cost. The owner said the coffee machine should have been left on for the whole evening but staff had clearly been given a message to turn it off early. However at breakfast a family member came and drank coffee from this machine in front of us which made us feel like we were second rate. It was obvious therefore that the hotel could afford the cost of the machine for their own use. I consider this a poor regard of paying customers

A very pleasant place with rich history for a quiet and relaxing stay

Splendid stay in a lovely pub environment with smiles and service from every member of staff. Great rooms that are lovely and clean with well maintained traditional furnishings and a modern bathroom. The cooked breakfast was excellent and the evening meals delicious. It deserves all 4 stars... and more.
We shall be back!

Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Little touches like tissues and shower cap in the bathroom.
Breakfast was excellent and our waitress was very pleasant and attentive. Would definitely stay again

I had a very comfortable stay here. Firstly I enjoyed very much an evening meal on site. The room was well equipped and comfortable with a first class shower. It was very quiet and I had a restful night. Breakfast once again was first class with a wide choice and very enjoyable with no time pressure. I was able to enjoy a nice walk whilst there with woodland walks starting within a few hundred yards of the accommodation.
There was nothing that I did not like about the accommodation and I would not hesitate to stay there again.

It was not a new place but that was what I liked. The ambiance of an old style inn. Staff were very pleasant. Would stay there again.

We only stayed for one night, but had a lovely stay! Room was great with lots of space (and the boys appreciated the large TV!). Breakfast in the morning was delicious with so many great options. Would definitely stay here again!

Lovely hotel in great area, Tunbridge Wells near to travel to. Only downside to room was bed mattress to firm...personal preference but wasn't great sleep for deluxe double.

Overnight stay was in a very comfortable ground floor bedroom which was quietly situated. Dinner served in the olde worlde bar / restaurant was good quality and promptly served.

Still trying to figure out how this place has such high reviews. Bathroom covered in mould in the shower (including the shower head!). The mattress felt ancient and lumpy. Food was pretty good though. Definitely not good enough for the room rate I paid (I would say I've stayed in rooms for £70 a night that are much better). Generally just a very tired place. Staff were all nice though.

This is a proper pub, with a nice feel about the public areas. The accommodation is at the back, so is quiet, and the room we stayed in was spacious, although quite old fashioned with heavy brown furniture. We thought the service and food were excellent.

Very helpful staff
