Had a lovely stay. Booked a superior double which was very nice. We had a balcony, large bathroom and walk in wardrobe. Comfortable large bed. Lovely decor. Corridors looked a little tired but all very clean. It is a very old building so a few creaky floors. Restaurant is beautifully decorated, great ambience, excellent food and service. The manager and his staff make you feel special. Second visit and will definitely return.

Fabulous hotel - friendly, attentive staff and great food. Possibility the best eggs Benedict that we've had in any hotel.

Our double deluxe room was lovely - very comfortable and spacious, and the little extras were much appreciated. All staff were very friendly and helpful - always responsive to our requests. A quality breakfast with interesting choices, and beautifully presented in a very pleasant dining area - (though my husband would have appreciated a stronger cup of tea). Overall, a relaxed and enjoyable stay.

Clean, comfortable room. Friendly staff.Good food.
Two things I don't understand are:
Why do hotels feel the need to 'dress' a bed with scatter cushions? There's nowhere to put them, they serve no purpose & they end up cluttering the floor.
Why serve Alpen sachets at breakfast - it's packed full of sugar. There must be other muesli alternatives.

Large room with a separate lounge and big bathroom. Tea/ coffee facilities and a coffee machine.
Lovely complimentary toiletries in the shower.

Tv reception was hit n miss the floor boards were creeky.
The restaurant and adjoining coffee bar are excellent

I'd booked a superior family room, which was tastefully decorated and included all the things you would expect to see in a good hotel room. The only drawback was it was on the 2nd floor at the top of the hotel, but doesn't diminish how pleased I was with the room. The room overlooked the street and faced the church, so being higher up probably meant it was a bit quieter. Street noise wasn't an issue. Luxury toiletries in the bathroom too. Good size car park to the rear which seemed popular with those using the gym at the back. Nice garden/bowling green area to sit out in if needed. Staff friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Can't wait to stay with this chain of hotels again! (PS British Ironworks sculpture park only 3 miles away - good for families)

Room was neat and tidy, bar and restaurant was lovely, and staff were vey attentive nothing was too much. Had both breakfast and dinner there and the food was really good and piping hot. Hotel is right in middle of town and just a few mins walk to the shops. Came here to visit to the British Ironworks Centre and wasnt disappointed with either

Overnight break
Room doors do slam, so when trying to sleep, other guests returning to rooms disturbs sleep ( Not soft close )

The staff are exceptional, and go above and beyond to ensure that guests are well looked after. We needed to leave before breakfast, but they were willing to prepare something, and did this with a smile.

We were blown away by this hotel! It's clean, gorgeous and such friendly staff!
When we walked in to our room we had a welcome note and the radio turned on for our arrival! Clean throughout and a gorgeous location!

This hotel's decor is a mixed of old and new and works very well, is ideal for the centre of Owestry and the staff couldn't be more helpful.

This is a really nice hotel, and the character of the building in the public areas is intact, even after all these years. The bathroom was lovely and modern. The only downside to the hotel was the decor in my room. Really dated with curtains, bed throws, cushions all from a bygone era. The character of the hotel can remain in the rooms without these very dated additions. Otherwise than that, would recommend.

Very clean and comfortable hotel in the middle of Oswestry. Service was excellent. My wife's milk intolerance was very well catered for with more menu options available than many others supply. The Coconut milk rice pudding was excellent.

Every thing is great!

The staff were excellent, great service, friendly and welcoming. Our Room was in the coaching house, so a walk across the garden, which is ok if not bad weather. Lovely bright and spacious room. Comfortable bed, lovely view. Meals in restaurant were also excellent. Great choice, lovely food. Hotel has been refurbished, which is a credit to the owners. Will visit again.

Initially a bit unhappy with rooms, but downgraded to better room and got 9 free breakfasts in return - great deal and kindly service. Good spa and pool - really recommend.
Only downside wireless a bit slow.

We stayed overnight as we were attending a function in the hotel. Very friendly & helpful lady on reception ensured that checkin was swift & efficient. Our room was a good size & very clean. There was only a shower but this was modern & spacious. The bed was enormous & very comfortable. Although we had a room overlooking the street we weren't disturbed by any noise, even though it was a Saturday night. Breakfast was plentiful & of good quality. Good value for money overall.

Decent independently run hotel bar although a little tired in some areas nevertheless makes up for it in great service. We were well looked after even tho we raise slight objection to having time overlooking town square Main Street in the night a fair took place there! This wasn’t communicated to us when we booked - with an 8 year old - but when we raised it they reduced our rate and were very apologetic.

Had exec room, bathroom was nice , hotel bar was quite old fashioned but the other bar in the hotel called Wilsons was nice, very modern cocktail bar
